I appeared for H1B visa stamping in Chennai on 4th April.
VO asked basic questions:
employer, client, salary.
At the end VO asked when did I get my H1b(which was in Oct 2018. She gave a blue slip and told me admin processing is required as she was able to see few flags (not sure but maybe on my SEVIS)
I was told to wait for a week or so.
My status still shows AP.
Anyone with similar situation who interviewed in Chennai?

I have to travel INDIA in june but my amendment is still in process since dec 3rd' 18 and my employer' attorney is suggesting its okay to travel with Receipt notice(Emp is not interested in upgrading to premium and giving me the reason like we might get RFE even though client letter was provided during amendment) , any advice please

Change of location before h1b visa stamping?
I have approved H1B petition and this is my first H1B and currently i am in my home country and have to go for stamping, but according to the current petition the location is Location-A and according to my HR etam I will be getting the offer letter from US firm from Location-B location.
I want to know the possible option for this above situation
1) Do I need to file a New LCA before I go for stamping in India ?
2) Can I go and for stamping and travel to US to Location-A and stay for 4 weeks and file the LCA to Location-B and travel after i get the Acknowledgement of LCA filed ?
3) Or can I travel to Location-B directly and file New LCA from Location-B?
It would be helpful if someone can provide me your valuable inputs

For myself
Sunday 3pm: Photograph at VFS, Shivaji Park Metro Station Delhi
Monday 9:30: Appeared for interview at consulate. Similar questions, which company, what's the salary and what you do. Visa approved. Status Admin processing
Tuesday 3pm: Visa issued
Wednesday: Picked up
For wife drop box
Monday: Submitted papers at VFS, Shivaji Park Metro Station Delhi
Tuesday: Status change to admin processing
Friday 3pm: Visa issued
Monday: ready for pickup

Hi All,
i am posting this on behalf of my wife to share her experience and get any suggestion form the members.
she recently received 221g white slip with send box checked.
this is her 3rd H1b stamping.
first time F1 to H1 inperson interview, 2nd time Drop box and Drop box this time also, but this time after the drop box got email to schedule for interview. Was asked general questions and was given 221g.
she works EVC model.
Interview date was on 6th March
and on 14th March got a call from embassy asking for Client letter, Vendor letter and LCA and submitted in same day but did not receive acknowledgement so called them next day for acknowledgment, they asked to resubmit the documents and then received the acknowledgement.
On 20th March Client got call and email and they responded the same day and they received acknowledgement
On 25th March Vendor got call and email they responded a day later and got acknowledgement the next day on 27th.
No updates since then and case still shows AP with interview date.
if some one has gone through similar process can help us with approximate timelines and let us know if we can contact embassy again..

8th april received email to collect passport, passport collected without stamping and no slips attached.

H4 Administrative processing delay Karachi consulate
Wife & kid Interview for H4 stamping happened on Feb 13 at Karachi consulate and officer asked for marriage certificate + Kid's birth certificate originals . Wife had copies of these documents because I have originals with me in here US ( I should have given her original documents but i am an idiot ! )
Officer gave blue 221g slip, kept passports with him and said we will email if needed any documents to submit. But no email since and no specific documents required information mentioned on 221g blue slip.
Feb 13 interview, no change in status since and its showing administrative processing.
What to do and how much time it takes, can anyone help?

Drop box eligibility
Hi.
Mine (principal applicant)' s H1B visa valid for drop box but my wife's H4 visa is not valid for drop box.
Appointment scheduler only asks about principal applicant's drop box eligibility.
So, my question do my wife has to attend the visa interview or can tag along with me for drop box ?

221G client verification completed
I got interviewed on Feb28th, my passport was returned and was handed over white slip. My client received an email from consulate and was verified during 2nd week of March. My case status is last updated on the same day of interview since then I have no update. How long will it take for any status to be changed?
