Visa approved but no status change
Hello everyone. Please share your thoughts on below scenario
1. Attended interview for h1 and h4 at Hyderabad consulate on September 18 afternoon at 12 pm and the officer told that my Visa is approved
2. Today morning when I check the status in https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx, it shows Administration Processing with case created as September 17 and last updated on September 18
3. Today morning when I check status in http://www.ustraveldocs.com/in/in-niv-passporttrack.asp, it shows that my passport is still with US embassy/consulate
Is there anything I need to worry about?

I am full-time for a reputed US company and joined the company around a month back. Little more background, first petition with the company got RFE and attorney realised that they filed with wrong job description. By the time attorney sent revoke request, USCIS rejected the petition. My attorney again applied new petition and it got approved for which I attended the interview yesterday.

Urgent: Multiple H1B Visa Transfer - Change of Employer
I am on H1B visa. I have signed an offer by a company A and they initiated the H1B visa transfer in premium processing, which is in process and I also have received Specialty Occupation RFE on my case.
Now I have an offer from company B, which is so good that I couldn't reject. Now I am planning to sign company B offer. Now Company B is ready to sponsor H1B transfer. I wanted to know ,
1.) am I eligible to start working as soon on arrival of receipt wit company B , as they dont want to wait till approval of my H1B.
2.) Please let me know if I would start working on arrival receipt with Company B, and meanwhile if my RFE gets resolved and gets an approval from company A for my H1B case, can I switch my employer from Company B to company A. (Both Company A and B has filed my H1B change of employer H1B application from my current employer.)
3.) If I pursue 2nd option, Do I need to file H1B application again to move from company B to Company A.
Please share your experience and thoughts as I just want to take up one of the opportunity by playing safe game.

Need help with DS 160 - Maiden Name
In the section where we need to give spouse details, they have asked to include maiden name as well. How do we do that?
Eg: MaidenName: Shubha
Maiden Surname: Pant
Married Name: Shubha abhay
Married surname : Deol
So should we fill the following:
Spouses surnames: Deol Pant

H1B Petition Expiration and Amendment
Query1 :My H1B Petition is going to expire on Sept 30th 2018.So, If the extension will happen after september 30th 2018,do I need to give the visa interview again ?
Query2: Along with Petition extension,my H1B visa will require amendment as well. what will be the process and duration for it.

FILLING AMENDMENT OUTSIDE US
I came down to India for Visa stamping on Jul 2nd and got stuck with 221g. Due to 221g, i lost my job and started applying for new jobs and now i have a new contract (MSA/SOW) and emailed new contract information to US Consulate in order to support my 221g. I got a call from US Consulate asking me to submit LCA and H1 Amendment. As the new contract is in different location (200miles away) so I filled my LCA and waiting for approval which i am hoping to receive early next week. Since I am outside USA and my i94 records shows as exited US, will I be able to apply H1 Amendment? and what are the documents required to apply H1 Amendment

2nd H1B Renewal through dropbox
Background: Had initial h1b with current employer which expired last month and went for extension with the same employer.
Submission process:
Sept 10th - Dropped off required docs; DS160 confirmation, Interviewer Waiver Confirmation (they returned this after stamping and signing), 2 photos, photocopy of current I-797, and the passport (only one with expired visa).
Sept 11th: In transit to embassy (I live 7 hours away from closest U.S Embassy)
Sept 12th: Passport with Embassy
Sept 13th: Passport received from embassy in transit back to sorting facility
Sept 14th: Received a call from bluedart that passport is ready for pickup.
Keep in mind if you choose to pick from courier, take your Indian drivers license original and a photocopy of it. Also Interviewer waiver confirmation that was signed and given back to you when you submitted docs.
Overall a seamless process. Good luck everyone who's going for their Visa's. Hope this helps.

H1b DropBox and 221g
I want to share my husband's experience for all those who are struggling to get their visa after receiving the form 221g.
My husband's visa got expired in Aug2017 but had approved petition till 2019. He had gone to India for 15 days during which he was hoping to get his visa after stamping. He was eligible for Dropbox submission but it turned out to be a bitter experience. Here is the timeline
16 July 2018: Drop Box submission [ My husband submitted all his required documents for H1b in the Dropbox ]
25th July 2018: Received an Email from USCIS stating that your case requires Administration processing ( Asked to come for the Interview and Fingerprints) * Asked to come for the Interview before 10AM.
27th July: Reached there around 9, Numerous questions were asked about the company, client, background and the VO handed over 221(g) White slip). They demanded 6-7 documents in which most of them were company's confidential and financial details. e.g W2, all the employees list with all the employee details, their immigration status etc.
VO then took the passport. [ It was a positive sign]
30th July: Passport Pickup Email- By the time we were arranging documents got another email from USCIS for passport pickup. [ I don’t understand why did they even take it when they had plans to return]
1 August : Went to pick up the passport. But received another white 221(g) letter along with the passport. This 221g had all the documents checked mark. This time they had demanded client information also. They demanded more documents along with the previous ones.
Since documents were sensitive so employer decided to not give the docs to my husband and asked their attorney to take this case. My husband had to fill a form to give the attorney the right to reply on his behalf. Attorney took around 20 days to gather all the documents and they sent it over email. The 221g or the email from USCIS had no size limitation mentioned for the documents. Attorney sent the documents over email.
22August: All the documents were submitted.
28 Aug: Email from USCIS to drop the passport.
30 Aug: Status changed to VISA Issued.
After three days picked up the passport and finally he is here.

Visa Stamping Exp at Mumbai
My H1b visa got expired in June 2017 and extension got approved in July 2017. I went for stamping in Mumbai on 27(Biometric) and 28(PIA) Aug 2018. Questions asked were, where do you work?, who is your client?, what is your salary?, are you married? is your wife traveling with you now? Then VO said visa is approved. Except passport, no other document asked. On 31Aug, status changed to "Issued". Received passport next week.
