H1B stamping in chennai
On Aug 6th, the day DMK leader passed away, I did my H1B (10+ years extension) in Chennai. I am a FTE with US manufacturing employer working in IT division.

You visa is approved and collect passport. VO didn't even check my 797.
In Port of entry..He said you are on H1B and gohead. He just joked to my son.
Observation from my experience. Don't go early to consulate or VFS office and get sweat in chennai weather. GO on time, even 10 mins late is fine. Don't get panic.
I noticed low salary guy and tester and quality guys and PMO rejected when I was waiting on the floor.

H1b Extension Stamping and I-94 status
Hi Guys,
Last year when I entered in US I got 1-94 valid until Jan 2018 because my stamping and I-797 was valid till that time , I applied for extension and it got approved valid till 2020 , on new I-797 same I-94 number is mentioned with the approval validity .
But when I’m checking online my i-94 record its shows the previous details valid until 2018 .
Is there anything that I need to correct with CBP?
Because I’m planning to transfer my petition to my client where I’m working currently through my employer. what other options I've for stamping except from India ?
What would be the impact ?
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Is there anyone who is planning to or already attempted for a visa stamping with a degree not related to the field of work? (eg. degree in Mechanical/civil and working in IT filed)?

F1 in good college and currently on FullTime with one of the big4.
Interview lasted from a min, routine questions and VO took my passport gave me 221G white slip and mentioned its just a routine which can take upto a week and kept my passport.
Reading about others experiences, some mentioning about system issues, others about consulate sending the case to USCIS and they responding back is a delayed process. Things are very uncertain.
Any one has any idea what the hell is going on?

The status on CEAC website changed to Administrative Processing on Aug 7 and has been the same for the last 3 weeks. Like most people I have called and emailed US travel docs folks but have only gotten canned response.
Does any one know what is going on?
