H1 transfer after denial
My first H1 was approved for 3 years (Oct 2017- Oct 2020) from company A.
But I lost the job in Nov 2017. So, filed another petition for new employer B in May 2018. Approval got for 1 year with I797-B notice. I came to Ottawa for visa interview as I-797B need visa interview. My visa got refused as told by US Consulate but in system it still shows "administrative processing". US Consulate says my case is in pending for review with USCIS.
Now this petition is withdrawn by employer. I never join the Company B.
My question is if I find new job now, which H1 should I transfer, first one which was for 3 years or second one for 1 year ? I mean should I transfer H1 petition from employer A to C or B to C ?

This site really helps me for my preparation. I have given my H1B interview on Aug 1st at Hyderabad consulate. My visa is approved and here are the questions:
1.Who is your client and what do they do?
2.what is your salary?
3.What is your highest qualification?
4.How do you come to know about this position? who applied it?
5.Is this your first work permit?
6.Have you ever been to USA?
I said: Yes, i traveled on business visa.
7.What you have done on your business trip?
I told him that i attended business meetings and gathered requirements for the upcoming project.
Finally golden words "Your visa is approved.Have a safe travel"

Dropbox - Mumbai
Only documents they asked was Passport and copy of I797.
Dropped on 31july (Tuesday) to avoid Monday dropbox crowd.
I was in and out in 15min.
Aug 8th, approved and is being prepared for delivery.

h1b first stamping admin processing no slip passport returned
Hi everyone,
I have attended h1b interview on march 5th 2018 and on march 14th I received an email for additional documents and also received another email to collect my passport(for which case was created).There was no slip or no stamp in the passport. On march 20th I have submitted my documents. But when i track the ds160 number it is still showing the date of passport pickup date.Not sure what is going on. is there anyone on the same boat?

H1B dropbox experience
Hi everyone,
I would like to share my H1B dropbox experience at Ahmedabad VFS center. This was my 1st time with dropbox application.
Security asked for my id and to leave my mobile outside. I got the token no. and was asked to wait inside. Then I entered the room and waited for about 3 minutes and my number was called in. She asked me to provide the interview waiver confirmation letter followed by DS-160, previous I797s and passports (new and old). I provide everything including previous I797 as well which she returned to me saying it’s not necessary for my application. She confirmed the phone numbers and pick up address. Then she confirmed that she has received all necessary documents and they will mail it to the embassy. I should receive my passport back within 2-3 business days or latest 10-15 days.
Here is the timeline:
July 27th, the Friday: submitted documents
July 27th: ustraveldocs status- passport being delivered
July 28 and 29 weekend
July 30 and 31 the Monday and Tuesday:
Ustraveldocs: passport still with embassy
Ceac status: application received
August 1 and 2, the Wednesday and Thursday:

Hi everyone,
Need help from personal experiences or experts on a couple of things.
1)Has anyone recently visited India for H1B stamping for F1 to H1? Any experience shared would be really helpful. I am hearing that F1OPT to H1 goes into administrative processing and then it can take weeks/ months to get the visa.
2)Also, if anyone can throw light on the PMIP and how long after the H1 becomes active , the PMIP is active or is made available to the consulate?
3) Is it more advisable to go to Canada / 3rd country for first time H1 stamping ( F1 OPT to H1)
Any help or direction is really appreciated 🙂

Hello,
I entered US with an H4 and converted to H1B and got 140 approved. After that I converted back to H4. Now I am filling DS 160 for stamping. It would be great if anyone provide information on the question under "Travel Plan". The question is "Has anyone filed immigrant petition on behalf of me". I answered Yes, as I got approved I 140. Once I answered "Yes", the application further asks me to provide explanation. Please let me know what information has to be provided on the explanation part.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
