Experience at Kolkata Consulate@18th & 19th July
I had my Bio metric scheduled for 18th July 2:15 PM. Reached very early by 12:45. Wasn't allowed to enter till 1:45 PM. Waiting outside in hot weather was very tough. But once entered , they completed bio metric activities much before 2:15 PM as there were very few applicants.Only new thing I noticed was they allowed mobile phones.
Interview
I have interview next day at 10:30 PM. this time I reached there by 9:45 PM. Security guards told to wait far away from Consulate as they were still processing 9:30 applicants. Finally they called to get in queue at 10:45. They verified DS 160 to confirm Bio Metric has been done or not. basic security check and then I was allowed to enter interview area at around 11:05. Again one of the officer verified passport but told me visit next counter. The other counter told me that my photo is not clear which was taken on the bio metric, so I have to go outside get photo clicked from outside the consulate and come back again. This was also a new thing for me as never heard this in this forum. I requested him I have got few photos but the size was small. He agreed to take that photo and asked me join another line for the main interview. I was relieved a lot. Finally my turn came for Interview at 11:35 am.
Questions Asked:
VO: Please give your passport and whats your purpose of visit?
Answered and he started checking details after scanning my passport.
VO- So you work for XX Company here. For how long you have been employed with same employer.
Answered accordingly
VO- I can see your client is from Utility industry. Do you have any experience working in that industry?
I told him all my experience is in the same industry.
VO- Have you ever been to US or any other country on work permit visa?
Answered all countries I visited. But I have never been to US.
Then he kept my passport in some folder. I understood that its all done now. I have prepared well about my job duties,project details and various other questions but he didn't asked any thing. Also I have carried 2 folders of documents. Apart from passport nothing asked.
He told me system is a bit slow today, just hand for a while but your visa has been granted. After a minute he told its been updated in the system and i will receive my passport in next few days. Happy Journey. I thanked him and left the counter with a happy frame of mind.

Today(July 20th) I attended for my H1B interview. I am in EVC Model.

Guys, Can I work for 2 employers on h1b visa. I did some research and came across concurrent h1b visa which allows me to work for other employer. Any experiences?

I'm in a tricky situation right now. Currently in OPT EAD status( valid 02/19). I have filed H1B thru my current employer before my H1B is approved and currently I lost my job. I have filed my marriage based GC and done with my finger prints. Currently I have an offer in my hand where I told them I do not require any sponsorship because I can work thru my OPT EAD (valid 02/19) and before that I will receive my greencard EAD.
But now my H1B is approved and I think my OPT EAD will be revoked. So is there any change I tell my current employer to revoke the H1B and then I move on t the OPT EAD status? or is there any other good scenario where I can work.
Any help is appreciated

H1 revoked by employer, can i come back to USA with new petition

I have completed 2.8 years on H1B with ABC company. I am resigning in USA going to india to join in XYZ compnay. ABC employer revoked my petition.
After two years can i comeback to USA with my new employer (XYZ)? Can i get the Cap exempt or do i need to go for lottery again?

H1B, H4 Dropbox Stamping in Chennai
Timeline:
3rd July: Submitted the following documents (My I797 current & previous), my passport and photograph. For dependants, they just collected the passports and the VFS guy said their application needed no further documentation, they will base the H4 dependants (Wife + kid) on my current I797 peition.
4th July : Passport in embassy status
5th July: Administrative Processing
8th July: Administrative processing
9th of July: Issued (status only for me H1B, for H4 status still showin processing)
10th of July: collected passport, my (H1B) visa has been stamped and my wife H4 did get back a blue form 221g, asking my wife to appear in person at consulate for interview, with the following documents . Old i797C
11th - wife in US embassy:
VO: I797 Old approval notice
Asked if spouse (Me) on H1B is in USA or here. Answer: Here and we applied together.
VO: was like "Oh" and then he typed something and asked for my approved visa, and my wife didnt carry any, and she told it was only collected few min before this interview.
VO: Prints something and attaches my details, collects passports and then says expect to hear back from us within 5 working days.
Status:
13th July: Administrative Processing
16th July: Ap
17th July - Visa issued
18th July - H4 (WIFE + KID) Stamped passport picked up
Suggestions: For dropbox, even if the VFS rep says the old I797 or other documents are not required, please make sure you request them to include these, to avoid uncessary delay in approval, like for my wife and son.

H1B wage level 1 visa application
Hello dear friends,
I've scheduled an appointment for H1B visa application. This is my first H1B and I never was in the US except for B1 visa. My petitioner is well known company, but my LCA says it is wage level 1. My salary is 109,000 annually in Bellevue, WA (near Seattle). I didn't get RFE, my petition was straight up approved. Can there be any problems with my wage level?

Shoes,Belts and full body check and will be directed for Window #1 where they again check your DS -160 ,passport and photograph then will direct to Window#2 where we get our ten print done
Will be guarded with a security to 20th floor for the Interview Waiting in the line and now my turn

H1B Stamping for Aug 2018, Hyd vs Chennai
Hello Friends,
I have a unique situation with my H1b.
My initial H1b with employer abc expired on July 31st 2017, luckily emp xyz applied for transfer and extension before July 31st... after an rfe and rfe response final decision with denial of H1b was received on March 29 2018. I have no valid i94 or H1b , i overstayed for 96 days due to my fiance's health condition.
Now my question is, with the overstay of 96 days which consulate is easier for getting visa stamped Hyderabad or Chennai or another city ... individuals with similar cases please share your experience.

Admin processing - got email to submit passport
Hi All,
I went for Visa Interview and got 221g blue slip on May 21st 2018. Today I got email to submit my passport. But CEAC status is still Admin processing.
1. Is the email to submit my passport a Good sign?
2. Will now my Passport be stamped or will they call me for interview again?
