I am working on Senior Software Engineer in India for Reputed US based company.
Me and my wife went for Interview.

VO to my wife: Do you have Children ( my wife said yes)
She is reading continuously for 5 mins without asking anything, later she went inside with my documents ( LCA and I 797) came after 4 mins and gave 221(g) white color with Case number. Didn't mentioned any documents required.
Don't how many days will take for further update.

F1 to H1 - Top Tech Gaint 221 g issued
Interview on 9th (F1 to H1):

Did not ask for i797 copy also. Took the passport and asked 5-6 basic questions like salary, location, what you do at work. Asked did I work on OPT
Issued 221(G) blue slip and said it will not take terribly long. Retained the passport
I hope it's again started in the summer.

F1 Stamping while H4 drop box is in progress

I am Going to India with my spouse for H4 drop box.
Currently I have joined college in US. I have got my I-20. I wanted to go for F1 Stamping.
Can I fill in DS 160 pay Sevis fee and book an appointment, While already Ds-160 is filled in for H4 Dropbox.
Can there be two ds 160 at one time.
It would be great if some one answers my question.

I've been following this forum silently for the past several weeks. Its my turn to post. I am on a H1b Visa going for renewal along with my wife who is on H4.
Location is Hyderabad
OFC was at 330 on 4th April. Just make sure to go there at 315PM. There will be a queue, and by going slightly earlier than your scheduled time, you can get ahead of others.
H1b was at 1030AM next morning. We reached the gate of US consulate at 10AM and within 5 minutes they started allowing us inside the building.
Myself and Wife booked an appointment together.
VO: Where are you working?

I work for a mid size american SAAS company that is relatively unknown to a lot of people.
VO: Is this a start up?
I said No. (I wanted to further explain, because by some definitions we are a startup but I wanted to answer to the question)

I said Yes
He then turned to my wife.
VO: Mam, when did you meet this guy?
I thought that was condescending, he could have said when did you meet your husband, or him :)

VO: Sir, I am approving your H1b and you should receive your passport in 2-3 days. Mam, I am keeping your case on administrative processing. Its nothing to worry about or be concerned, we do this routinely. You should hear from us in 3-5 days.
My thoughts: From hearing other interviews, it definitely seems like they are scrutinizing more these days then previously. Especially, for first timers directly going on H1b from India, and folks working for a client. But overall, if you can answer precisely and are confident you should not have to worry so much. I cannot understate talking slow and precisely to their questions. These VO's have very little patience. Good luck

We have to put all of our documents,wallet, watch, Sandales(Behind me one girl was there, she wore heal sandal,
security ask her to remove and put your sandales in the box for scanning) in the box for scan.
