Hi All,
I am travelling to India for stamping on April 4th. My current Visa Stamped till April 12th. I have Interview scheduled on 9th and 10th.
My question is are there any rejections for Bachelors (3yeard degree) with computers major? as per the many of the interview questions posted here, they are mostly stressing on masters/bachelors and Computers/ Electronic?
In this situation how much safe is to go for stamping keeping in my my visa is expiring on april 12th. But i have approved i797 till sep 2019. I still have 2 more years out of 6.
Suggestions will greatly helpful.

Hello all,
My recent experience with H1b visa renewal stamping -
--Dropbox = Feb 8th, 2018
--Received my passport and 221G = Feb 15th, 2018
--Interview date = Feb 16th, 2018
During the Interview VO asked me few questions -
-- Employer Name?
--Annual Salary?
-- Designation in Company?
--Where do live in the US?
--Which university in the US did you graduated from?
Then at the end of interview VO says "Your visa is approved".
--Case date created = Feb 9th 2018
-- date updated = Feb 16th, 2018
--Next date updated = Feb 21st, 2018
--Last date updated = Feb 28th 2018
My online visa status still says "Administrative processing" and there is no update since then. I tried calling them but they always give a generic answer and nothing else.
FYI - I have never had any issues with H1b visa stamping before. And this is my H1b visa renewal stamping.
Has anyone been in same situation recently? Any feedback or comment regarding it will be appreciated.

H1-b dropbox prolonged

I would like to share my experience with dropbox in the Hyderabad consulate.
3/18 - dropped off all the required documents at the Hyd Visa Application center.
3/22 - Received an email from the consulate with the following:
"Thank you for submitting your documents for the Interview Waiver Program at the VAC office Hyderabad. However, to process your visa application we would like to let you know that your case needs further review and requires you to come to the Consulate for fingerprints and interview."
I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this lately? Given that this was just an H1-b extension, with the same employer (not a 3rd party worksite) that I've been with for 5yrs, the requirement for further review has come as a surprise to me. CEAC visa status is "Administrative Processing" with a description - "Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing...". With a lot of anxiety around the email I received, I have the following questions:
1. What could be the possible reasons for this pending status and a further review?
2. Nothing about 221g is mentioned in the email. But does this mean I may have got a 221g?
3. I had chosen to pick up my passport from the visa application center location. The passport is still with the consulate.
Since I haven't been notified about 221g at all, does this mean I'm probably required to just go for my fingerprints?

The status as of today shows ADMIN PROCESSING in visa tracking link.
Till March 21st, Passport tracking status showed "your passport is still with embassy"
From last 2 days it is now showing, "no status update for the passport number"
This is cutting close, as my joining is from April 1st so a little worried now.
Please suggest if this is normal or share if anyone has recent similar experience.
