H1B visa approved after administrative processing (Hyderabad)
Consulate: Hyderabad
Interview date: Feb 7
F1 to H1B COS

Questions asked:
Masters in which university?
Major?
Who is your client?
Annual pay?
How many months on H1?

That's all, she took my passport and gave me administrative processing white slip (221G) with case number on it and said nothing to worry, it will just take couple of days. Interview lasted for less than 5 minutes.

Checked the visa status today (Feb 12) online and it showed me as "Issued". Waiting for my passport pick up email.

Be confident and answer ONLY the question asked, nothing extra. All the very best guys!

Visa approved but in Administrative Processing
Hello,

I completed my Biometrics on 31st Jan. VI was scheduled for 8th Feb. 9.45 AM.

Details of Interview
1. I was asked for Approval Notice.
2. Highest level of education and where?
3. How long have I been working with current company?
4. Salary?
5. What type of work?
6. Single/ Married or any of such plan?
7. Visa is approved and will be ready within 2-3 days. No 221G's, no any other slips handed over to me.

Since 8th Feb, my status on CEAC shows to be under Admin. Processing. I called on the phone number provided and IVRS says the passport is still at the Post.

Also I forgot to handover the Right Part of the I-94 to CBP. I asked my couple of other friends and they too forgot to handover the I-94 to CBP and never had an issue.

Overall the procedure went smooth but the status of Admin Processing is giving me chills.

My questions are,
1. Is it normal to have the status of Admin Processing for first few days while they make your passport ready for pick up?
2. Did anyone had problem due to forgetting to submit I-94 to CBP before leaving USA. If yes could anyone shade light on their experience?

Thank you!
All the best for your further endeavors.

H1B stamping 221g Hyderabad
Hi, First of all thanks for everyone who shared the experiences here.It helped me a lot. I have a similar experience like others regarding 221(g) white slip in Hyderabad.

I attended the Interview on 22 Dec 2017 at Hyderabad for H1B interview for the First time. Previously I was on F1. Here are the questions VO asked me pretty basic questions.

1.What is your highest degree??

2.Do you Work for Consulate or Direct hire?

3. Where is your Client Location?

4. What is Your Pay?

She asked me LCA at the time of Interview after verifying my pay she returned it back to me. After these questions passport was returned back to me I was Shocked for that action and she said we are giving you 221G which is temporary hold and kept in Administrative Processing it may take 2-3 weeks and she let me go by giving white-slip.

After that I got a call from consulate on Jan 5 to submit few documents and I submitted on the same day itself. But i didn't see any update in ceac tracking even the updated date.

After 4 weeks i.e. on Feb 6 i received an email from Consulate to come and submit the Passport.I submitted it on Feb 7 and in CEAC website the last update changed on 8 FEB and on Feb 9 it changed to Issued. This is a long wait I want to share my experience and help my fellow friends who already attended and going to attend. I think it help you Guys. Thank you once again.

Dec 22 - Attended Interview(AP)
Jan 5 - Requested for Documents
Feb 6 - Requested Passport to Submit
Feb 8 - AP(Last updated changed)
Feb 9 - Issued.

H1B Stamping - Hyderabad
I worked in employer A(from Dec, 2015 to March, 2017) and changed to employer B (One of the top reputed bank in NY) with 140K base pay in April, 2017. I have valid visa up to Sep, 2018 with my previous employer name. Last December me and my wife came for vacation to Hyderbad. I have submitted the documents for new stamping with change of employer and visa extension.

Dec 5th - Submitted our(me and wife) documents through dropbox
Dec 8th - Received email from Consulate to submitting the fingerprints and attend the interview
Dec 15th - Attended the interview, they were given priority for us and sent to the counter immediately. VO asked general question and said that visa's are approved
Dec 18th - My wife visa status changed to Issued, no status update in my case
Dec 21st - My wife got an email to collect her passport from VFS office.(collected immediate next day)
Dec 29th - My case status changed to AP
Jan 5th - I sent an email to [email protected] to know the status of my case
Jan 8th - I got an email from Consulate stating that should attend for re-interview
Jan 12th - I went to Consulate with supporting document to attend the interview. They were sent me to Counter 1 which is in separate room. One Indian women initially inquired about my past experiences and after that asked more question about my previous employer A. Requested the all payslips of previous employer and bank statements. I said that not carrying all payslips but i have last 6 payslips. She given 221G white slip form to submit those documents through email. Same day sent those documents to given email id.
Jan 17th - Got an email from consulate for submit the additional documents(Employment letter from Previous employer, SA with client and employer, all payslips and bank statements) in VAC office
Jan 21st - I got requested additional documents from previous employer and submitted all docs in VAC office
Feb 5th - Case was updated from AP to AP again
Feb 6th - I got email from ustravledocs stating the my passport returned to VFS office. Still case status showing as AP but my passport is ready to pickup in ustraveldocs. I was worried and tensed with lot of thoughts
Feb 7th - I went to collect my passport from VFS, but they didn't return my passport they gave back my documents which are submitted earlier in VAC office and re-interview time. Immediately i have checked the passport status its showing as "Your passport has been picked up" in ustravelsdocs

Already it's been 65 days till now but still my case status showing as AP.

I am wondering that why my passport status showing as been picked up in ustraveldocs? What they are trying to do with my case and why they are holding my case due to previous employer investigation?

I am worried about timeline of this process and already i have rescheduled my flight more than 3 times.

Did anyone faced this situation or any idea about these type visa processing delays?

221 G Blue Issued
I had my h1b visa stamping interview (H1B) on 9th jan,2018. Was given a blue slip for 221g case and submitted the requisite documents(end client letter and agreement) via mail on 30th Jan,2018 (got acknowledgment mail from embassy). My passport was not taken by them. As of now the status on the ceac website is still showing "Administrative Processing" and case update date is still "9th Jan". When i search with my case number in ceac , getting error "Invalid Application ID or Case Number".

Did anyone have similar experience? Any idea on why they might be taking so much time? Any timeline estimates?

Case Created - Jan 11
Interview Date - Jan 16
Administrative Processing - Last Updated: Jan 16
Administrative Processing - Last Updated: Feb 6
Issued - Feb 7
Passport Picked Up - Feb 8

I'm still not really what was verified and why it took so long. Hope this info helps.

H1B Stamping delay at Delhi consultate
Hi
I had my h1b visa stamping interview (OPT to H1B) on 5th jan,2018. Was given a white slip for 221g case and submitted the requisite documents via mail on 15th Jan,2018 (got acknowledgment mail from embassy). Meanwhile, my passport was taken by them. VO had told me on on 5th jan that it would take 3-4 weeks after your document submission for the processing to complete. As of now the status on the ceac website is still showing "Admin Processing" and case update date is still "5th Jan".
I am getting worried now. Have already rescheduled my flight once and have no idea when I would receive my approved visa. Already exhausted my company leaves now. When I called them, I get a standard reply from them which is same on the ceac status tracker. No help from them as well.
Anyone else here facing a similar situation?
Thanks
