I attended H1b consulate interview on 25th Jan 2018.The VO didn't ask any documents kept my passport and handed 221g white slip marked admin processing..anyone with same case please respond..it has been 1 week now ceac status updated on 30th janbut still AP

Hyderbad consulate
I had an interview on Jan 19, 2018 and the Vo said visa approved and i should have passport in 5 to 7 days . No 221g or anything .
I got an email from consulate saying that i needed to send previous I-797 after 2 days , i sent them same day and they sent an email requesting again and I sent them . i got an email from consulate on Jan 30 saying that case undergoing processing.
Today i get an email saying that i need to submit passport with 221g . The passport is with them, CEAC website say application received and update shows Jan30. The passport tracker say the passport is with embassy.
i do not know what to do .

H1B Visa Interview Experience in New Delhi

Came home for a vacation in New Delhi and made an appointment to get my first time H1B (F1 -> OPT -> H1B) visa stamped. Interview was pretty basic questions (what do you do, where do you live etc) and at the end, the Consular Officer said he had to check one more thing for me and it would take a week. Was not given any 221g slips.
Timeline:-
Case Created - 11 Jan 2018
Visa Interview - 16 Jan 2018
Case Last Updated - 16 Jan 2018
No updates since then and the tracker says 'Administrative Processing'.
Especially frustrating because the officer said it would be a week and its been more than 2 now. Already had to cancel two flights so taking its financial (and mental) toll.
Any suggestions?

H1B Dropbox - Chennai Jan 2018
Hi All,
I would like to share how H1b dropbox submission went for me.
Submitted Docs in Chennai Dropbox Location - Jan 16th, 2018
Status - Case Received - Jan 17th, 2018
Status - Admin Processing - Jan 22nd, 2018
Passport returned with 221 G Blue Slip - Jan 25th, 2018
Appeared for interview on Jan 30th with all the documents requested in 221 G form.
They took my finger prints and the visa officer asked basic questions - Petitioner, Client, How long working for Petitioner/Client, Salary.
Then VO asked for my last 2 years payslips & w2 forms and verified it. He said my visa is approved and I can expect my passport back with stamping within a week.
Now I am waiting to get the passport back.
Almost all the documents were requested in my 221 G form. I work in EVVC model.
But the interview went very well and got over in less than 2 minutes.
So don't lose hope! You are good if you have all documents to prove your employment and pay.

what documents to take for h1b renewal interveiw
Can any1 give details of documents to carry for h1b renewal interview. my last visa expired over 12 months so no option for dropbox. I work with the same company for last 8 years. my last h1b visa had RFE but got approved finally. Hopefully wouldnt be issue for visa interview as my RFE had lot of points to cover. Any suggestions. My case is Systems Analyst job, F1 to H1B COS.
Although title is Systems Analyst, job is that of typical Systems Analyst as well as QA automation engineer.
I had following questions:
1.Any idea of such cases(systems analysts) are getting additional verification?What are the factors that lead to additional verification?
2. How many weeks approximately it can take for verification for h1b stamping in India?
3.I heard current scenario at Mumbai consulate isn't good, meaning too many 221 g's. Is it advisable to postpone my stamping date (intended for first week of feb) by a month?
4.If someone was on OPT and unemployed for a month(you can remain unemployed in OPT for upto three months), basically meaning left previous employer, had a one month unemployment and then got the full-time job, does this give a bad impression to VO, do they check in that detail? If asked were you unemployed while on opt what to answer

First time Stamping- Question on employer
Hello, My first H1b was filed with employer A and has been approved in 2016. I converted full time in December 2017 with the same client after working as a contractor for 2 years. I am going for first time stamping next month.
When or if asked how long I've been working for the petitioner/employer, should I only mention 2 months or should I also mention that I've been working for this client since the past two years and converted two months ago?

It is frustrating me everyday.
Actually my employer has applied H1B for me on Mar 2017 which has been gone through successfully. My visa interview also has been scheduled on 5th and 6th of Feb 2018. But suddenly, my interview has been postponed unexpected and the reason was the consulate visa approval percentage is very low. They are mostly rejecting the case or issuing 221g.
Could anyone update me on this? Are they really reduced the approval count?
