I attended H1B Visa interview on 15th March in chennai consulate. VO said approved but in ceac it shows "Administrative Processing". I did not get any mail from consulate. In cgifederal.secure.force.com, status is "Document Delivery Information: " from past one week. Before that it was "With Consulate/US EMbassy"
Can any one please help me on what further actions i need to do.
Regarding simultaneous application of H1 & H4 visa
I applied for H1 this year and planning to apply for H4 on may 5th. I'm getting married on April last week. My spouse has a valid H1 visa.
1. Will visa officer get to know about my H1 status when I go for H4 interview?
2. If he knows what will he question me? And what should I answer?
Or suggest me some alternatives. Thank you.
My wife appeared for H4 visa (renewal) interview on 24th March 2017. She got 221g (green slip) and asked to submit below documents.
Scan and submit the following as a pdf document:
Invitation: An invitation letter from the sponsoring organization in the US. For graduate students, workers, and exchange visitors, this letter should include the name of your supervisor or advisor and details about your work.
Submit all of the following information as a Word document:
Resume: A detailed resume/CV that lists your professional and/or academic backgrounds from your past/present work, three professional references, and a list of all publications.
Research: A complete and detailed description of 1) any research you intend to conduct in the US; and 2) all past and/or current research you have conducted in all countries. You must include a description of the practical applications of your research and study.
Position: Your current job title and a full description of your work.
Purpose: A detailed statement of purpose of your visit to the US.
Itinerary: An itinerary of all locations you will visit in the US, including dates, contact names, organizations, addresses, and telephone numbers.
Funding: Name of the person or organization that is funding your trip and your research.
Travelers: A list of all travelers who will accompany you, including family members and colleagues.
Travel: Dates and locations of all your international travel for last 10 year, except for US travel.
We are not sure why they have requested these papers.
I am concerned whether they need a invitation letter from me or from my company.
She has not done any research in USA or not even done any study in USA so what we need to say to answer to that query. (What should we have to submit in Research, Resume, Position ?)
Specially why they asked for Position . She is on H4 and she can't work. What should we have to submit ??
She is in USA since 2014 and she is a home maker. Even she is not doing any study in USA. She went to India in Jan 2017 for 3.5 months.
Visa officer asked below questions.

Based on what I saw on my interview day, I see all smiles around and almost everyone seems to have their Visas approved. I have traveled back to USA in this week and no questions asked at port of entry as well.
Bio-matric-
27-Mar-17 (Mumbai) - appointment time 3:45 (As was traveling from Gujarat kept late afternoon time)
Reached at visa application center for biometric at 2:00 PM, I checked once with security person outside gate, he said up to 3 PM appointment can go inside, and I waited outside and asked again around 2:30 or so, and checked with him again, and this time he said you may go inside.
Asked us to leave mobile and any electric equipment outside building (Includes Fitbit or any other fitness tracker).
You need to keep the only passport and DS-160 form with you, before entering inside, they scan the DS-160 form and then allowed us to go inside.
Again there is kind of security check, and then they ask us to show passport and DS-160 (They checked name and Passport and looked at us with passport photo reference).
Went further inside, and for my case, I had to change my wife DS-160 number, so we asked them to change our, hence she printed another sticker of latest DS-160 confirmation and stick to passport back again (website currently not allowing us to change it though you can update of your own. So guys for any amendment don't panic, you can just fill out another DS-160 and carry along with you and asked at the 2nd counter at bio metric they will help you out.)
After sticker, you get token, and you will be in the queue, once your number comes, you need to go to the respective counter, and they will ask birthday and name, and take your photograph and finger print for all hands and stamped our DS-160. less than 15 mins and everything completed for biometric.
28-Mar (Visa interview)-
I got appointment slot of 10 AM, so I reached there around 9:15, and can see huge queue out side of building, all standing for 9:30 appointment, once whole 9:30 queue moved, I joined as 10:00 AM queue, sharp 10 our queue started moving, but still not in side building, after 20 min wait outside, we moved in side first building.
Here they asked DS-160 and passport (I noticed someone took the fresh copy of DS -160 instead of carrying bio metric day, which has stamps etc on it, and they got some trouble, and I don't know what happened with them. Silly things happen in life) In first building, your security check will be done, and you will be moved to another waiting area where you can seat and wait for your turn.
We waited till 11:30 and then we got our turn to go inside building 2 where interview was taken place.
First, they will take your passport and call you one by one near window, where they will do biometrics check (Ask you to place your finger as they instruct and then they give you passport back). Next queue is for the final interview. But in my case, when my turn arrived for biometric, that lady said no for me and my wife, and I was asked to sit down and wait until they call me, they haven't said any reason why I have to seat. this was kind of panic situation, but tried to keep my self calm and compose.
After 10 min another lady asked us to come to the window, and she said your petition got amended, do you have an original petition, and I handed over it (Luckily was carrying a copy of original one as well). Then she asked that all she needed, and again asked us to seat for 10 mins or so, meanwhile we were listening questions asked to people, and hearing words like we are approving your visa.. etc.. after some time she asked us to come to counter, and then she handed over passport with the petition.
By this time only 6-8 people left inside the building. and now we did our bio metric check, and she asked us to move forward for interview.
So staff persons became bit liberal now and asked us to choose your fav window for interview, as its kind of end of day time, we got one window, a lady visa officer, and conversation started,
Me: Hi, Good morning mam.
VO: Hey! Good morning (With smile)
VO: Who is your employer!
Me: YYYY company.
VO: I never heard about this company what does they do?
Me: Its small product based and software consulting company.
VO: Okay, what is your designation?
Me: YYYY (its role not designation and say same as you get in your offer letter, may be tricky question for Me as I was thinking what is my designation in new company but then thought its role)
VO: What is your salary?
Me: I asked India or in the US?
VO: USA. Per anum salary.
Me: YYYY XX (mine was six digit, so may have helped, try to speak in US units, that may give a differnt impression, like use million, hundred thousand etc..)
VO: And who is your end client?
Me: XX
VO: okay good.
VO: How many years of marriage!
Me: replied.
VO: Where you will going to in US?
Me : replied.
VO: It will be chilling over there ...
Me: Smiled, I heard about it.. and no question to me or wife after that. She got plenty of time to ask another question while working on her computer, but she looked satisfied.
VO: (After minute) Ok, Hope you gone through knowing your rights in US template, you can go, have a good day.
Me: Thanks, Yes, I have gone through, have a good day!
