My situation - Got h1b in 2016 till 2019. After completion of opt continued on cap - gap till Oct 1.
Below are the questions asked by visa officer.
VO & my self exchanged greetings
VO - Did you finished masters in US?
Me - yes.
VO - which university
ME - Answered
VO - Are you a transfer student?
Me - yes, told university names etc
VO - did you work on CPT?
Me - yes.
VO - Did you work on OPT?
Me - yes.
VO - What is your highest degree?
Me - Masters in computer science.
VO - Ok, Do you work for xxxx?
Me - yes.
VO - Do you work directly to them or do you have and end client?
Me - I have an end client. xxx
VO - What is your annual income?
Me - xxxxx
VO - I'm which state you currently living in?
Me - xxxx.
VO - Ok, Congratulations I am approving your visa but you need to expect delay in getting your passport which is approximately 1&1/2 week & handed over white slip with case number on it.
(Then she noticed my worried face & said these words ( As I already told you that your visa is approved & we no need any further documents from you. Due to previous applications are still in pending we need some extra time to dispatch your passport.So you no need to worry about it.)
I said thank you so much & left the place.
She handed over 221g ( white slip) with case number. She did not checked any box in the form. I am really worried about this issue. Please share your experiences if any of you face the same problem.

F1 to H1-B Administrative Processing Chennai
I went for visa interview today in Chennai but got a 221(g) blue slip in which 'Your application requires additional administrative processing before a final decision can be made.' is checked. They retained my passport. I don't know if I left the passport at the counter small hole. If that's the case, should she call me?

H1b Visa rescheduling showing Business/Tourism visa category in appointment history
Hi
I've rescheduled my H1B appointment from 17th to 24th. I can see that in my appointment confirmation letter pdf the visa category is H&L class. But when i see the same in Appointment history, the visa category is showing as Business/Tourism. Will there be any problem because of this visa category differences between appointment history and appointment letter.
Please let me know your suggestions

Attended interview on 10-March-2017, Below are the Questions.
1. VO: Good Morning sir.
Myself: Good Morning Madam.
2. VO: Asked for Passport and I797.
Myself: Gave my Passport and I797 to VO.
3. VO: Is it a new employment ?
Myself: Answered
4. VO: What's your role ?
Myself: Answered.

This is my 2nd H1 extension and i had my previous stamping in Vancouver, Canada.
Did my master in USA.
Q1 - Who is your employer?
Q2 - How long have you been with your employer?
Q3 - What is your annual salary?
No documents were asked. Visa was granted. While i was there the trend was good. Haven't seen any rejections. My passport was available for pickup in 4 days.

H4 Extension query
Hello Experts,
I have a question.
I have extension coming. So for my wife she do not have last name on her passport.
Situation is:
Passport:
First name - Vidya
Last name - Blank
Visa:
First name - FNU
Last name - Vidya
Now for extension attorney/Petitioner/immigration officer, they say they have to prepare documents for extension with names what is on passport.They have to go with Passport on approval notice Like
First name - Vidya
Last name - LNU
I am assuming USCIS or whatever govt. agency it will be , they will change name on their own based on requirement and MAY make it like we do have today in Visa for H4 extension petition.
Please confirm and share your thoughts.

H1 in india, sponsoring parents b2
Hi,
I am travelling to india in few weeks. While,I am there, I,am applying for my parents b2 visa.
Do I have to mention this anywhere (e.g invitation letter) in their documentation that the sponsoring son is already in india?
P.S I do have to get my visa stamped through drop box. Actually, I am reaching Delhi on a Friday and planning to drop my documentation for my h1 extension while my parents will already be in Delhi having their consulate interview on that day.

Finger prints are taken on 8 and appointment is on 9th at morning 9.30. Stood in Q at 9 itself
It took an hour and half to reach VO officer.
She was calm and cool.
VO: Good morning sir..
Me: Good moring madam, how is your day going.
VO: Good(with low voice) and asked for Passport and I797.
Then she asked below questions.

H1B Successful Stamping
My situation : H1 B stamping. Visa has been extended couple of times. 140 petition approved. Same employer for 8 years.
Eligible for Dropbox. So submitted documents on 21st Feb. Process took total of 10 mins.
Received notification to pick up on 28th Feb. The visa status went to administrative processing for 2 days and then it was issued.
Additional info : Port of entry at JFK was also a cake walk. Nothing to worry.
