h1b re-stamping mumbai
Hi, I am visiting india this month and have a visa re-stamping interview at mumbai consulate. I have a valid i797 valid till 2019, but my travel visa is expired as of Sep 2016. Actually my visa had been stamped with an old petition which was only till sep 2016 and than i got a new i797 which is valid till jan 2019.
Anyone having any experience like what would be the process and if there would be any issues in the consulate for visa approval.
Just to summerize
Latest I-797 valid till Jan 2019
I-94 valid upto Jan 2019
Travel visa expired as of Sep 2016
Old Petition/I-797 expired as of Sep 2016
Please advise.

I got my H1 approved in 2015 and I am working on EVVC model with prime-vendor TekSystems .My brother's wedding is in this month and I am planning to go India. Is this correct time to travel?

Educational qualification
I see there is a common question in most of the H1 interview about highest qualification, is all the approved H1-Bs are masters or are there any B.Techs? Mine is B.Tech and working on EVC model, in US and this is going to be my 5th stamping. Have a travel plan this month and als booked an appointment at Hyd this month end, is it Ok to go for stamping?

H1B Visa Stamp Correction Time
Hi,
I had my visa interview on Jan 6th and after being in administrative processing for more than 3 weeks, I got them Issued and stamped on Jan 31st. However When I picked up the passport with the H1b Stamping, I noticed that the Petitioner Name, Petition # and PED are wrongly stamped. They have pulled the details from a wrong petition # which has one correct digit in it as opposed to my original Petition # in I797.
I had submitted my documents for Correction yesterday with the Supporting documents at OFC center in Chennai and today the CEAC status changed from Issued == Ready == Admin Processing.
Has anybody experienced such a situation and how long it might take if the passport is submitted for a correction with the mistake is from Consulate side.

I am a silent reader in immihelp. There are lot of rumors regarding rejection of H1. Please do not believe them. My friends suggested me to postpone my interview, but I had interview today.
This is my first time H1. Here are my questions:
Are you working for xxxx company?
Who is your client?
Salary?
Working at client location?
Where is your client?
Asked for me I797 form. Then the golden words "Your visa is approved"
To the person in front of me, Interviewer asked about 'father's occupation', 'father's salary', 'what everyone in the family do'. I guess it could be for F1 visa. Anyways thought of sharing it as well
Hope this will help you guys. Be confident and answer questions straight. You will come out with a smile on your face :)

H1B Visa Stamping for the first time
HI All . I am working with an IT company's direct client at the client location from Sept. I got my H1B approved this October. My trip to India is scheduled in the next week for the purpose of stamping. Whats your take on it? Should I go ahead or wait a little. Is there any problem at the port of entry?
