H1B renewal stamping interview
I am in USA and planned to travel to India on 23rd Feb. However, my visa stamping got expired and have a valid petition until Jan 2018. If I go to India, I have to go for stamping. Please share your experience on H1B renewal stamping when you have valid petition. I am with the same employer and did not change employer. Is it difficult to get stamping?

Anyone has got an experience?

H1B Stamping @hyderabad on 06-Feb
Hi All,

Thanks for your post. Today we (H1&H4) had Visa Interview @ Hyderabad US Consulate. Window 15 is assigned to us and there are 3 more applicants which were waiting ( All 3 applicants approved in that window)

Below are questions were asked

VO started Checking the passports ... Here is the first question: How old are your kids? Answered

How long have you been married?
Who is your petitioner?
Are you working for your petitioner or client?
Which location you are planning to work?
How much is the salary?
What is your highest qualification?

then VO said your Visa is issued and will receive an email to collect the passports...

I was not asked any documents but its always better to have all the required documents...

All the best for the folks who are planning to go for interview... There is no need to panic at all and ignore about the rumors in media .....

H1B fresh stamping!
Hello,
I am currently working full time (direct hire) for a biotech company and is scheduled for fresh H1B/H4 visa stamping at New Delhi consulate in second week of Feb. Suppose to travel next week. I have a PhD from US university and has been working after PhD with the same employer for past 4 years. Haven't got the stamping yet and so this will be our first stamping. Any suggestions as to whether we should consider deferring the interview now... Worried about the info that is being circulated about rise in issuance of the 221g...

Any advise/suggestion is sincerely appreciated.

H4 approval
Hello All,

My background -

- I have a stamped H1, which will expire in Nov 2019. This is my 5th year with my current employer and its my 7th year of H1. 140 is approved.

- I am not into IT and directly work for my employer (no client), I did MS from the US.

My question(s) -

I am getting married later this year and my wife will join me here on H4. With all the immigration updates we are currently hearing, is there a risk of H4 denial? She has never been to the US or don't have any prior visa denials....and my case is pretty clean too, never had any issues with F1, H1, GC labor or GC 140, all were approved with no issues.

Does she needs to appear for the H4 interview alone or do I need to be with her as I am the principal applicant?

Let me know your thoughts on the new H4s.

Thanks,
P
