Visa approved, Incorrect petition Number, Petitioner Name, Expiry date.
Hello all,

My wife and I went for visa stamping @ Hyd Consulate. The interview was short.
1. who is your petitioner?
2. Who is your Client?
3. How long have you been working with this client?

To my wife
1. How long have you been married?
2. where do you all live in the US?

We picked up our passports on 4/29/2016 Friday and found that my wife's visa was printed right but my visa stamp has some mistakes.

Petitioner Name, Petitioner Number and Expiry date are printed wrong.

What is advisable in this situation correction or apply for new visa interview appointment.

Thanks

H1b stamping
Hello All,

In 2014, My h1b was selected in lottery and approved. However while stamping I got 221g and case went into administrative processing.

Last year, my current company(YYY) and one other employer(ZZZ) use my earlier case and they both got approval for new H1b case.

After that I got stamping for my current company (YYY). I did not went for an interview from other employer (ZZZ) yet.

however now I would like to go and work for employer (ZZZ) and not for the employer for which I got stamping.

Do I need to go for stamping again? If not, What documents I need to carry while entering in USA.

Received passport today but didn’t get H1B approval (I-797B) , petition copy, LCA and client letter
Hi All,

Thanks everyone for sharing experience here. It is very helpful.
I had H1B visa interview on 1st Dec 2015. VO kept my H1B approval (I-797B), petition copy (I- 129), LCA and client letter at the time of interview.
From last one and half months the status for my case was ‘Administrative Processing’.
Finally status is updated to ‘Issued’ yesterday. Today I collected passport from visa office but didn’t get other documents like H1B approval (I-797B), petition copy (I- 129), LCA and client letter. When I asked to the person who handed over my passport about the other documents he said we received only your passport nothing else. If you have any query about the documents those VO kept at the time interview just send email to [email protected] .

Do you people have any idea about this type of case? I mean to say that I have only passport with stamped visa but didn’t have H1B approval (I-797B), petition copy (I- 129), LCA and Client letter.

Anyone has any idea that if I send email to email id provided by them then how much time it will take to receive my all documents that VO kept at the time of interview.

Also if anyone is on same track, please share your experience.

Thanks all for sharing your ideas …..

221g blue slip issued @ chennai consulate for H1B case
I had my visa interview @ Chennai on 28 and was issued a 221g blue slip with no documents highlighted in it. I currently works for an MNC and my new employer is a small company in US. I would have been part of their in-house mobile products.

During interview, VO collected my project documents and offer letter and asked me to wait. I waited for 4 hours and got a phone call at their office. One lady asked me whether I have my employer’s tax returns which I didn’t have. I waited for another 1.5 hours and finally issued a 221g blue slip. VO returned all documents including my passport and gave US rights pamphlets as a consolation.

When informed, my employer said I could have given the second project details and the job responsibility letter also. He is not sure about what went wrong and said will get back from his attorney.

My wife had already traveled US last week on her H1B thinking I will join her soon. Now someone please help me with any details; in fact assist me to decide what’s next in my life.

1. Will 221g candidates get visa, especially when your passport is returned?
2. Why didn’t they ticked/checked any documents in the 221g? How will we know which document they need?
3. How long will it take for completing administrative processing?
4. If it takes months, can I travel on H4 and change to H1 in US once it is approved?
Please help me.

Thank you all and my sincere wishes to all who are going to attend the visa interview.

Thanks to immihelp for vast visa experiences which helped to crack visa interview easily. And here my experience.

OFC experience is straight forward and pretty cool. Be there at OFC just 20 minutes before as they are allowing based on your slot.

2nd Day: Visa interview(big day).
My visa interview slot at 9:30AM. But they are allowing even at 7:30. I went there at 7:30AM and allowed to stand in queue. Basic verification done and completed whole process by 8:30.

Visa questions:
VO: Hi How are you?
Me: Said hai and asked how abt you?

VO: Asked passport and i-797B?
Me: Submitted

VO: How long you have been working in this company?
Me: Said new employment.

VO: Whats your current company?
Me: Answered

VO: Whats your highest qualification?
Me: Answered

VO: What is your salary per month in USA?
Me: Answered

VO: To which client are you going to work?
Me: Answered(Its well known company in USA)

Finally said visa approved.

Observations:
1) Make eye contact
2) Confident(even i am tensed at that moment but once you enter consulate building, just observed things around me and automatically felt relaxed. This is worked for me).
3) Talk near to speaker as its clear to VO.
4) Go in formal dress which gives good impression.

Thanks and all the best to those who are going for interview.
