Address on approved petition, DS-160 and passport
Hi,
My H1b got approved through premium processing on 3rd August. I have an question and help your help urgently.
During my petition filling, I was in Bangalore and so I provided Bangalore address. Thus my approved petition has Bangalore, India address.
Now I moved to Pune and I filled Pune address in DS-160. Pune is my second home where I stayed longer earlier between 2007 to 2014.
I was in Bangalore for one year only.
Now my passport has Rajasthan address because it was created 9 years back since I born in Rajasthan.
My question is, My approved petition has Bangalore address and DS-160 has Pune and Passport has Rajasthan address.. My visa appointment is scheduled on 19 August in New Delhi.
I need your suggestion on this ? Will it create any issue or do I need create another DS-160.

H1b regular - RFE processing time
Hi All,
I received RFE on May 27th and docs were sent to USCIS on 21st and the status was changed to response received on July 23rd in the USCIS site (Vermont center).
Its been couple of weeks by now, Can someone pls tell me how long it would take get approval?

H1 Stamping (Change of Status from H4 to H1) at Mumbai Jul 2015 - HAPPY!
Hi All,
I was on H4 and got H1 while in US in 2013. This July I travelled back to India for 1 month vacation. Sharing my experience of first time H1 stamping at Mumbai consulate. VISA GOT APPROVED…HAPPY!!
29-Jul-2015 – Biometrics Appointment @ 2:30 PM
Arrived at the center at 2:15 pm and finger printing was done and I was out by 2:45!!
30-Jul-2015 – Visa Interview Appointment @ 9 AM
Arrived at 8 am and got in line. By 9:15 am, I was called for the visa interview.
Following questions were asked by lady Visa Officer –
• Name of your company?
• How many employees in your company?
• How many years of experience?
• What’s your designation?
• What’s the salary?
• Are you working for a client? Is there also a middle vendor?
• Are you working for full time? I mean is this the only client you are working for?
• Is your husband also on H1?
• Do you have any children?
• Though I was carrying almost 50 pages of documents, she did not ask for even a single document!
• Your visa is approved!
03-Aug-2015 – Got text and email that my passport is ready for pickup. Collected it from Blue Dart location at Pune’s Sohrab hall.
FEW TIPS
1. Please arrive at least 1 hour before appointment even if they allow you to stand in the line just 30 minutes before the appointment.
2. Correction to DS-160 is allowed without rescheduling appointment. Just submit a new DS-160 and on biometrics appointment day, let the staff know. You don’t have to do this again on visa interview day.
3. They say minimum 1 day gap is required between appointments but it does not mean 24 hours.
4. Rest rooms are available once you are inside the building
5. At the time of interview, just keep your file folder on the counter to show that you are ready with all the documents ?

H1 Visa extension stamping experience in Chennai
Biometric on Aug 4th
Interview on Aug 5th
For Biometric all they need is all passports, Appointment letter,DS160 confirmation letter, At Biometric center Get fingerprints and verify that ur full name in DS160 matches with ur passport.
If in case it doesnt match , they may ask u to fill up a new one on the preheir premise itself.
Our Interview was at 8 AM, We reached Consulate area by 7.15 and found a roadside parking spot at Avvai Shanmgam road which is the closest place to the consulate. Kept all our personal belongings including wallet,mobile, etc in Car itslef.
Stood in the 1st Queue for interview appointment letter verfication and passport verification, they sent to the second queue waiting for the manual scanning.
Then another security check with the things that we broght in like the documents, files etc.
Funny part was, a guy from AP had lemon with him, dont know what he had planned with Lemon there. Any personal belongings were asked to be handed over to an approved cart vendor outside.
Then inside we were again asked to verify our finger prints to match with the ones took the prior day in OFC biometrics center.
Then comes the actual queue for the interview.
This was the Conversation in our turn.
Me: Hello Sir, good Morning
VO : Good morning,
VO :Can i have all your passports?
VO to my Daughter: Hey baby Good morning , how are you doing today?
Daughter: Good, how are u ?
VO to my Daughter: How old are you are you?

H1B and H4 Approved at Mumbai Consulate
Biometric got completed on 29th July and we came out in 15 mins. As this is rainy season bring umbrella with you as there are no sheds available.
Next day 30th July my slot was 9:00 am and we reached there by 8:40 and straight went in. Below are he interview details.

Step 1: I have given my finger prints at first counter.And waited for consular visa interview.
after 15 mins they called me.

VO: approval notice please
ME: Handed over my I797 approval notice.
VO: what does your company do?
ME: answered.
VO: asked me about project and roles and responsibilities.

Need Suggestion on H1B
I am from india. My employer had filed H1B on my behalf last year(August 2014) and it was approved in the end of the November 2014.
As H1B visa was not subject to "Regular Cap" at that time but recently on April 28th 2015(regular cap), NVC asks my employer to submit H1B fees. But from that time to until now, my employer haven't heard from NVC.
So i would like to ask few things from respected members that:
a) When NVC is going to process the remaining part of the case by issuing DS-160 form.
b) As we are in 10th month. So, Will it take more time to schedule an interview.
c) Am i able to start work from 1st October, 2015.
Looking forward for swift reply !
