3-year Bachelor's Degree in US accredited school okay for H1B?
I'm looking into applying for an accredited Bachelor's Degree program at a school in California. However, it's a 3 year program (180 units though).

Would that fall under the H1B requirements, since it's in fact a Bachelor's Degree or I'd really need to find a 4-year program to qualify?

H1B Employment Agreement
Hi,
I am in India and a company/consultancy named "XYZ" processed H1B with their own expenses under an agreement. The agreement says if I don't join in their company in US then I need to pay the visa expenses. I got H1B visa stamped with "XYZ" company and I am still in india. Now, I got a another opportunity to work with a good company "ABC" and they offered me that they can transfer the visa and send me to USA.

Note : I didn't sign in any bonds but singed on some agreements in india.

Can "XYZ" company sue me if I don't pay the visa processing amount?
Can "XYZ" company create any problem for my employment with "ABC" while I am in USA?

Please help me in this.

Thanks

H1B Visa Stamping at Hyderabad Consulate
Hi All,

I got lot of help from various forums and it's my turn to share my experience. I have attended H1b Visa interview first time at Hyderabad Consulate on June 11 th. Biometrics was on 10 th, it went through fine, my appointment was actually at 11 30 but I was there by 10 30 AM. They allowed me inside, perhaps it was not that busy may be, I was out in 10 minutes.

Next day, June 11 th, my appt was at 9 30 AM. They allowed me on time. While I was in the line, they checked my appointment and DS 160 and ticked the passport.Got inside the building and were seated in an open area. I was asked keep my appt confirmation and DS 160 inside. Then went through security check and got inside the main building. We were told to keep photo with white back ground in the passport, we were told that the photo taken previous day did not come correctly due to technical issue. So every one did the same, those who did not have a back up of their photo had go out of the consulate building and get a new one. So, please keep a back up photo with white back ground. I had one, so went to one of the lanes, they checked passport with photo, verified something and asked to get into another line. I gave my finger prints again (not sure due to machine fault y'day or that's the norm to tally), then came the big step, went to counter number 12 to attend my interview.
There was a student before me, he was asked several questions, may be 5 minutes in front me. They wanted to validate the students awareness of what he was doing, where he will stay, which colleges etc.... he got his visa approved. I went next with my wife and 2 kids. Just 3 questions,

1. who is your petitioner ?

XX comp

2. What do you work as ?

YY

3. What do you do as YY ?

provided my work description

then turned to my wife and asked a few questions, I got a sigh of relief.. :-)

4. Where do you stay in US ?

XX

5. How long are you married ?

10 years

6. How many kids do you have ?

XX

She congratulated on our 10 yrs of marriage, and said the golden words, "your visas are approved".

I said thank you, my kids told her bye and we came out happily.

Important things, keep a back up of your picture with white back ground for Visa, expect lines, waiting times, be ready to take out your documents, show and keep them inside properly. Don't loose yourself as you go through the process, stay calm and tell your self it's fine. Don't get any negative thoughts as to why they can't run the process better, this could be like this or that, don't think or say that. It can unnecessarily spoil your concentration on what's more important. You just want to get your visa approved and come out. EVery thing else is fine and wonderful.

Good luck to you all, be confident, more than that be calm and cool.

H1B -221G _Blue Slip_Chennai Consulate
Hi,

I got lots of help from this forum so Just wanted to add my experience on 221G- Blue slip from chennai consulate.

VO asked question like...

1.client name

2.clinet location

3.salary amount & who will pay

4. Highest qualification

& finally asked for client letter & statement of work.

I was not having client letter at that point of time,

so they returned my passport & issued 221G blue slip with tick mark on the submission of contract between client & employer & client letter on letterhead.
submit through email to chennaiH&[email protected]

Document submission date:-13th April 2015(from official email id)

Got Document submission confirmation mail on:- 13th April 2015

Got an email from [email protected] on:-29th April 2015(on my personal email id)

Stating that

"Your document(s) have been collected from the US Embassy/Consulate

The passport number being returned is YYYY ZZZ

You have chosen to have your documents delivered to the following location:

Bengaluru, Prestige Atrium 2nd Floor Unit No. 304, Bangalore, 560001 ".

Actually i was on long vacation so unable to check my Personal id till 18th May.I was thinking if any intimation comes it will come on my official id.

I saw that eamil on 18th May then i tried to track at VAC center. They told me if you will not collect the document within 14 days,it will be returned to consulate.

But the question was that passport was with me then what they sent it back. I was trying to track that whether i got refusal letter or something else.

Got an email from chennaiH&[email protected] on - 21st May 2015 with another 221G attached with headings "REQUEST TO SUBMIT YOUR PASSPORT FOR CASE NO-2015 xx xxxxxx"

Another 221 G letter ,Tick mark was on "Please submit your passport at nearest VAC centre".

Passport submitted on:- 22nd May 2015 from our offc. Due to weekend n holiday it reached chennai consulate on 26th May 2015.

But Still CEAC status was in AP state.

On 30th May ,staus updated date changed to 30th May 2015, But still in AP .

After a week of document submission ,i didn't get any update or any notifiaction on system.

UStravel doc site, message was like"Your Passport is still with Embassy/consulate"

Finally on 3rd June,CEAC status changed to "ISSUED" & date changed to 3rd June 2015.

Ready for pick up:-4th June 2015

After a long wait, got H1B visa with the same validity as mentioned in petition.
