H!B, H4 VISA
Atlast the day has come for the Interview for the VISA STAMPING. On 6th of August 2014, Me and my husband went for bio metric @ 10:30 AM. We are in queue and its very long, waited for 20mins.

The person at OFC verified our DS-160 confirmation page, after seeing the passport he said ok for me, but told that my husband's name in the confirmation page and the passport are not identical (extra space not there his name in the passport). They asked us to correct the form and bring the fresh one. DO not panic, there is a jobber within the premises itself who charges INR 250.00 and will fill DS-160 for you. It took us 15 minutes to get the necessary corrections done and get back to the OFC officer.

So while filling the DS160 form be careful and fill the details according to passport details.

You will get the fresh DS160 confirmation page again changes made in the DS160 and you should carry the same.

This time he verified my husband details and let us in. The moment we Went inside and queue for the sticker to stick on the back side of the passport which makes the entry for the interview.

Then me and my husband went to take picture, earlier it was online to post the picture but they made it is easy, Bio Metrics were completed in 15 minutes.(Note: Their you do not smile while taking your picture, they do not want you to show your teeth).

After finished our OFC check, we got relaxed and left for the day.

FInally the day as come for the final Interview for VISA STAMPING.

The next day on Ausgus 7th, 2014 our Visa interview was scheduled for 10:00 AM. (Note: Guys be before 1hour to your schedule time, otherwise you get panic in hurry.

We reached the place by 9:10 AM and we were immediately asked to stand in queue along with rest of the 9.30 AM appointment, our passport has been checked with sticker place at OFC and then we were allowed inside. We said to be wait at the open premises for checking our stuff as my time has not come, so was waiting. Completed all the formalities in another 30 minutes and we were in the waiting area inside the interview hall in the next 30 minutes (@ 9:40 AM sharp) with our token number went inside and waiting at the lounge. After some one lady came to us and gave Pamphlet. i Read carefully about instructions return in that.

We were called for to go at counter at 10.30 AM.
He asked me show me I797 and said you cannot travel to usa right now as your visa is starting on 1st October, I got shocked but don't big panic, he will say again you can travel after 20th september but mostly people will travel after october. He check our passport (Me and My husband's) then guiding people said to wait at waiting lounge area.

We can check the details on the TV Screen who's Ticket number is displaying, we get that ticket number on the back side of our passport. It's a TOKEN NO.

we were waiting for 1hour but unfortunately my number is not displaying as some of our next conitnue numbers displaying, My husband went to ask why it's not displaying our's as its been 1hour, he said will come wait at the place sir. Again it's repeated same and we still waiting for 2hours 30 mins, This time we really getting frustrated as my my number got skipped and later numbers got displaying. We got doubt something is went wrong and again my husband went to ask the guiding people why its not displaying our's, as our ticket before and next numbers already came.

He said to come along with them to the counter which is mandatory counter for everybody. At last our number been got displayed after informed at mandatory counter, been waiting for 2hours 30mins time.

Now the time for the Interview, Our turn, me and my husband standing at the counter. We started our conversation.

Need suggestions for H1B Visa Interview
All,
I am attending H1B and H4 interview on Monday 13th July. I have couple of questions here.

My Employer is YYYY company located in Ohio and my Client is YYY located in San Hose. My company is planing to send me at my company location at Ohio first and then file LCA amendment for location change at my Client's place at San Hose and once approved ask me to travel at client location.

1. What should I answer , if Visa Officer ask me "Why I am not going at my Client Location San Hose and working from my Employer Location Ohio?"

2. In such case do they ask for any Client letter or any agreement copy between employer and Client? (I do not have that. My company has not provided that to me) .

Please suggest.
Thanks

H-1B and H4 interview at Hyderabad
First let me thank to Immihelp forum for providing a platforom to share our experiences. I am writing my interview experience at Hyderabad consulate. It's my third time I attended Visa interview. L1-B, H1-B and again this time on H1-B.

OFC : There was a big queue at OFC center. We waited for around 30 mins to get our turn. Myself and my wife were given a different counter numbers. My baby's (8 months) passport was taken to another counter. We gave them our baby's 50x50 photo and the lady photographed it.

Consulate : Our slot was at 12:00 PM and there were around 20 people already at the main gate. One guy was checking the passports and allowing only few people at a time. There it was around 20 mins of waiting time. Later we were allowed inside the compound and were waited for around 15 mins and were allowed into the security check point. This time they didn't give any token number on our passports (for counter allocation).

We were sent to the interview counters and they again took our biometrics for one hand. The lady had written a number on the OFC barcode sticker. That is the counter number. We went to the counter there was an Indian VO. Below are the questions asked to me and my wife.

Me & my Wife : Good Morning sir.

VO : Good Morning. Your passports please!!

I gave 3 passports and the VO looked below.

Me : We didn't bring our baby sir.

VO : Thats ok!!

VO : Who's your employer?

Me : YYYY YYYY XX

VO : End client?

Me: YYYYYYYYY

VO : Which city are you going?

Me : AAAAAA

VO : Do you like AAAAAAA?

Me: Yes sir.

VO to my wife : Do you like AAAAA too?

Me & my wife: This is the first time travel.

VO : Ok.

VO : How long have you been married?

My wife : YYYY yrs.

VO: Ok your visa have been approved.

Me & my wife : Thank you sir!! Have a nice day.

Thats it guys. Ensure that you carry all your original and copies of them.

Merida, Mexico
I attended a H1B visa renewal interview in Merida, Mexico right after the Fourth. Heres the process.

I came here a couple days earlier because in Mexico, you need to go have your photo taken an ASC (application service center) before the actual interview. I stayed at Hotel Mirador (where people are so nice and accomodating, and its a pretty nice hotel).

I then went to the interview. This time i stayed at IBIS which is a really nice hotel. I stayed at IBIS in Tokyo when i traveled there. The interview went well. I was asked a couple routine questions, like how long you ve been in US, where do you work, which firm, did you go to school in america, where are you from in china, is this your first time in mexico. He's pretty nice and asked me when im leaving the country. after a while, he put my passport in the urgent case pile and told me i should be able to pick up my passport here tomorrow after 4 with this slip. if not tomorrow, it should be wednesday.

As i had a valid visa prior to coming to Mexico, i didnt have to get a separate mexican tourist visa. In general, i LOVE mexico or maybe more specific MERIDA. People here are so nice and are so willing to go out of their way to help me out. Love them. Tried to speak in Spanish as much as i can but that didnt pan out as my spanish is really bad. As most TNC (third nation citizen) go to canada for stamping (as its closer to US), i highly recommend mexico. people are so nice, things in general are cheaper, beaches are awesome, so easy to make friends here!

221g Blue Slip
Hi I attended the visa interview in chennai on 16th June .... Discussion went well with VO and he asked me for all documents and asked me a few routine questions and asked me to wait for some time.
Then he called me back after 30 mins and said that no issues with my documents and all necessary docs are there but said admin processing is required and handed me a blue slip with the check box saying "Admin processing required" and handed me all my documents along with passport and said they would contact me for further info.... This was at time when the visa processing was down for close to 10 days.

On June 24th there was an update only on the last updated date but no update to the content on he website..

Please let me any idea how much time it might take.

Thanks for the help

Your visa is approved. you may collect your passports in a few days. VO did not give any slips.

H1B Visa Application MRV receipts not enabled
Hi All,
I have applied for H1B and H4 Visa Applications for myself, wife and kid. I have paid Visa Fees through NEFT mode. But still MRV receipt numbers are not enabled for us. Hence could not GO ahead and take Visa Interview Appointments. Getting error as "No calid record found". I have followed up with US visa support team for more than a week, but no satisfactory answer yet. I have provided them all my payment details. Still waiting for answer.

Has Anybody faced such issues recently? Please suggest what needs to be done here / or whom I should see to get this done.

Thanks.
