urgent help needed
I am going to give h1b Visa Interview next month in Mumbai consulate. This is my first time h1. I have couple of questions please help.

1) I have recently transfer my h1b to my Prime Vendor to remove the layers from between. Will it cause any problem during stamping?
2) I came to USA on F1 status and took transfer to English learning school and after 1 year i got enrolled in some other collage to complete my masters. Will it create any problem?
3) I came to USA in 2009 for f1 but returned back to india within 1 mnth as i was suffering from appendix and need to get operated in india. I came back to USA in sep 2010 . In this one year i went to dubai for work/training for 3 months . Will visa officer ask any questions on it?

Please please help i am very tensed

Layoff from Company H1B status
Hi, I am ABC. I have completed my Masters here and I am working for XYZ oil & gas engineering company on H1B. I have a 3 yrs US experience. I am married my wife just came here 4 months back on H4 visa. Suddenly I got layoff but i have 10 days notice period. I HAVE STARTED APPLYING FOR NEW JOB. I want to be in status, so I started my research for several days, I've found some of the ways:

1) Search a new job(as I have already started)

2) Get admitted to F1 visa to some School for some course and change my wife's visa to F2 visa( I have already completed My Masters here and I also took English in my coursework)

3) Get my wife admitted for F1 visa and I go on F2 visa. Then i can search job and again go on H1B visa. Will this effect me, on my future job.

Please let me know the best scenario so that I can be in some status before I find a job.

H1B & F1 Visa Exp -- Chennai
Hi All,
I am sorry folks for posting it so late. My interview was on Dec 29/30 Chennai.
Both my wife (F1) & my (H1B) attended the interview on the same date but independently as the system do not allow H1 & F1 together.

OFC
It was 3 Cenotaph Road, Chennai near Kalignar TV. There was no rush at the location and we reached right on time.
They will not allow 15mins prior to your appointment time. So reaching on time is sufficient.

** NOTE: Do not carry mobile/bag. They will not allow inside the building. ***
When we reached the location it was raining and we requested to carry our shoulder bag as the documents will get wet but they denied sighting security risk. I picked an argument but they did not budge. So we took turns to attend our needs.
Inside the building, the process was breeze and simple. We were out in no time.

Visa Interview:

We arrived right on time. My Wife interview was scheduled at 9AM and mine at 11AM.

F1 Visa Interview:
She is doing her master in NJIT. There was only one semester left at the time of interview.
Vo: I see that you are doing your master?
She: Yes. I have only one semester left.
Vo: Can I have your transcript
She: Handed over the transcript. It was printout from web and signed by advisor
Vo looked at it for a moment and said, all the best for rest of your semster.

She was out by 09:30am
H1b Interview:
Vo: Is xZZZ your petitioner?
me: Yes. YYYY is my employer [ I am employed at financial firm in NYC]
Vo: Do you work at NY location
Me: told him the address at NY location
Vo: What are you current responsibilites?
Me: I work as Associate apllications developer
Vo: What is your pay?
Me: Base pay of xxxx

He handed me paper and asked me to collect my passport later approving my visa.

** NOTE: Do not carry mobile/bag. It is absolute waste of time and they will not allow inside the building. ***

All the very best

Hyderabad consulate - Approved H1B experience
First I have to thank the immihelp management for providing the platform to share information which is very useful for novice
and many thanks to users for sharing their experiences which built confidence in me to face the interview.
Now its payback time for me to share my experience.

Consulate: Hyderabad
Date: few days back 9:30 slot

Documents carried for interview:

• Passport

• DS-160 confirmation page

• Appointment Confirmation

• Original I797

• I129

• LCA

• Client letter

• Client Master Services Agreement and Purchase Order

• My Resume

• Project Documentation

• Educational Documents

• Offer Letter from H1B Company

• Consulate letter from H1B Company

• My previous Experience Letters

• Passport size photos as per visa requirements

instead of annoying you with fingerprints process on the previous day, I will directly start with consulate details

As suggested by our predecessors in immihelp, I have reached 30 minutes earlier than my slot time just to skip unexpected events.
At the entry, consulate staff will check the stamp on appointment confirmation page
(we will get stamp on this appointment confirmation page on our finger prints day, make sure you carry the same page with stamp)

After entering the consulate premises, they asked to wait in a hall for 20 minutes
then they put a sticker on passport showing unique token number followed by security frisking.
again we got to wait in a lobby where token number and related counter number is displayed

Finally, It's my turn and greeted the Visa Officer(VO)
VO: Hand over passport and I797
Me: Handed over passport and Original I797

VO: What is the purpose of travel.
Me: Employment, I have been offered a Job from YYYY company located in Michigan, USA.

VO: Who is your employer
Me: YYYY , located in Michigan USA.

VO: What is your salary.
Me: $$$$/annum

VO: What does the client do.
Me: YYYY YYYY X

VO: Your Visa is approved
Me: Thank you and collected my original I797.

VO did not ask any documents apart from I797.

If it is a [In House] project then it is recommended to carry Project documentation.
If it is Client location project then it is recommended to carry client letter.

success formula: Confidence and to the point answers

Do not get tensed / feel nervous by reading so many blogs on H1B, just read them and be prepared.
be confident and do it in your own away.

Loads of Luv
Kishore
