I am planning to go for Visa interview in Oct 2014 in Hyderabad and when I read through the previous posts, it seems "Project Description document" is necessary (around 80 page document) for those working in consulting firms (EVC model).

Can anyone give information if this has to be from the employer or the client? And how important is it to have this document?

              I have given my H1B visa interview on 23 Sep 2014 and VO said , he is approving our visa and took mine and my family passport . now its 28 today and still showing Admin process . I have given my interview in Kolkata.

Please tell me what I need to do .....has anyone go with this situation.

Please suggest me regarding that.

Hi All,

I have attended H1b interview in chennai, it's thru. I am happy for that. Now turn to my wife H4 visa.

My employer told me to attend the interview single, now he is asking me to schedule for my wife h4. He asking us to carry my passport all pages ans marriage certificate, marriage album, i129, I 797.

I have got visa, but still I am in India, is there any chance of asking too many questions to my wife?

Do we need to carry any other documents other than mentioned above. Please help us?

i am directly coming to my visa interview process since before all the process is as usual...

Here is the my interview process went...

8.40AM my token called for counter window number 18.

Me: Good morning sir
Visa Officer: can I have your passports please(Not wished).

Me: Hand over the passports
VO: who is your employer

Me: YYYY Answered
VO: do u work at client location.?

Me: I am going to work for inhouse product development project
VO: can I have your I129

Me: Handover the I129
VO: checking in the system for long time and asked wats your highest qualification

Me: Answered
VO: ok and asked what you are going to do in this comapny.

Me: explained about project and my roles.
VO- where are you working currently

Me: answered
VO- how long u r working

Me- answered
VO: can I have all your employer given documents.

Me: handover all my employer documents.
VO: my colleague will verify ur documents and called u with ur token number please wait.

Its time 9.00 AM

Waiting for my turn to come again...

         **** *again my token number called at 11.00AM to another counter [approx. After 2 hours] **** *

Me: Appeared in front of counter. VO came with all my documents.

VO: I will check your documents and I need your help(he came with all my documents which I have given earlier).
Me: ok sure.

Vo: ur internal project name.?
Me: Answered

Vo: can u give me which is ur project description document In this documents
Me: I have given same to VO from documents. He checked it and keep aside.

VO: what is your bachelor degree.
Me: answered

Vo- which college
Me- Answered

VO: can I have your bachelors degree documents.
Me: handover the docs. Vo checked and returned back.

VO- specialisation in bachelor degree
Me: Answered

VO: typing in system and asking what is your masters degree
Me: Answered

Vo: checking all the documents and he choose the one cover, asked what is this?
Me: company photos.

VO- ok and checked the photos and returned to me. Typing something In the system.

Again checking the documents

VO- can u give me ur employer tax documents from this.
Me: I have given.

VO- he choose the 2013 employer tax document, checking for long time in the documents and started typing in the computer. Again asked for how many employees working in ur employer company
Me: Answered

VO: your employer employees list is there in this documents
Me: yes it is there

VO-can i have that document
Me: document given

VO- looking at document and asked how much they offered u in USD.?
Me: Answered in $

Vo: how many people are working in this project
Me: Answered

V0- typing something in system and asked how did u found this job.
Me: I have posted my resume In job portal and my employer contacted me.

Vo: which portal
Me: dice.com and monster

Vo: ok and how many rounds of interview they have taken.
Me: 3 rounds

Vo: what are those
Me: 2 technical Rounds and one HR round.

Vo: ok and typing again something in system,

          **** **Asked me to stand in front of first attended counter **** ***

Me: I went and stand in front of counter number 18( which I have attended first)

Vo- Both VOs are discussed and called my token number.
Me: I have appeared in front of window.

VO: sir we need to do some additional administrative processing to take final decision, It will take some time and given 221g blue slip along with my passports.
Me: ok sir, my documents?( They keep all my employer documents along with them).

Vo: we will check and give u back your documents.
Me: thanks

Can anyone please let me know your thoughts. If anybody face this kind of situation what kind of decision they have taken.

Please suggest me how long it will take and when they will get back to me.

I have attended Consular interview on 26th September 2014 at London consulate. During the interview I have submitted all my documents(I-797B,LCA, I-129,client letter etc..) along with my passport.
At the end of the interview VO said your visa will be processed in 2 weeks and not returned me any documents which I submitted along with passports.
Do they verify all the documents again before approving my VISA?

I have given my H1B Visa interview on 25/09/2014 with my wife and child. VO told that visa is approved and our all three passport has been taken by VO. I have given interview in Kolkata.

Now still I am not getting any SMS to collecting passport and online status is showing Admin Processing. Can anybody suggest in this condition.

Visa interview

My interview was scheduled at 9.30 Am. I was in the line at 9.00 Am. After 45 min I got my token number and went inside the consulate and waiting for my turn. After 1 hr. my token number was called.
ME: Good morning officer
VO: Good morning
VO: Place your right hand fingers on the scanner
ME: Did
VO: Who is you employer
ME: told
VO: These days many people are coming from xxxxxxx company how many H1b’s are processed
ME: I don’t know about that information (At that time I didnt know what to answer)
VO: Who is your client?
ME: told
VO: How many members are working there for this client?
ME: 5 members from on-site and 100 members from off-shore
VO: To support this client
ME: Yes
To my wife
VO: Place your right hand fingers on scanner
Wife: She did
He typed something in his system for a while and said golden words
“Your Visas are approved”
we said Thank you sir and came back..
 

First of all, Thanks a lot for this forum members for sharing your experiences. I followed this forum and it helped me build my confidence level.

I have attended Consular Interview on 26th September 2014 and OFC on 25th September. Please find below the questions asked during the Consular Interview.

VO took my passport and did not even take the I-797B document.

Question 1 - Who is Your Petitioner?
Question 2 - Do you have a Client?
In my case, i did not have any client as i work at the employer's location for an ongoing project of one of the customers of my employer. Hence my answer was "No" and i did give him the above justification.

Thats it, VO said You may Go and he kept my passport with him.

My interview was schedule @11.00AM. We reached there around 10.30.
They have allowed us to enter before time after security check (Same as airport security check).

ME:-Gave him both docs

VO: What is your designation in YYYY (He read out my employer name from I-797)
ME: Programmer Analyst

VO: How long you are working with this company
ME: Answered

VO How long you are working with this client (Don’t know how he came to know my client name).
ME: Answered (He got impressed, since my client is very known in US)

VO: Will you be working for same client
ME: Yes

VO: Then why are you going there, you can work from here also.
ME: Answered (but was tricky que)

VO : What will be your work location
ME: Answered according my –I129 doc.

VO: What is your highest qualification?
ME: Answered

VO: Did you get the pamphlet
ME: Yes

I was waiting for magical word after answered these question, but he told me a big sentence which I have not heard correctly. .....I got confused…then he kept my passport and told me you will get your passport after visa stamping.

ME: Sure Sir, Thanks and I came out and checked my Visa status after 3 hour and it got changed to ISSUED ?

Be prepared and carry all the required docs, as I heard they are giving 221g slip to some people.
One good thing which I have observed that all the VO are came in Indian traditional dress.
