I have attended H1B interview at Mumbai along with my wife and son on 23rd Jan.
VO is very friendly and polite.
VO: Good Morning, How are you?
Me: Very Good Morning. I am fine, thanks and yourself?
VO: Fine, thanks
Me: Handover all passports (Myself, Spouse, Kid) along with my original I-797
VO: He scanned the bar code on passport
VO: Who is your client?
VO: Who is your employer?
VO: What is your salary?
No questions to my wife (H4).
VO: He asked me to take my original I-797 back
VO: Finally, He said, YOU VISA IS APPROVED. Good day. You can fly after 3 to 4 days. (As I've mentioned expected date of fly as 31st Jan)
Me: Thanks.
There was no preference to parents, who’s with children (Mumbai). So plan accordingly. Children below 14yrs need not come to VISA interview. Refer : http://www.ustraveldocs.com/in/in-svc-visachild.asp

Hi Guys,
I will be attending my h1b visa interview for an in-house project in this month. I am not sure which consulate should i go even though i am from Hyderabad. I got 221g blue slip when i went to hyderabad 3 years back.

I have attended H1B interview at Chennai along with my wife and 2 children on 31st Jan. Questions were
Who is your petitioner?
Have you already been hired?
Can I see the employment letters?
The tentative date of joining is Oct 2013, why not have you joined yet?
Are you going to work for client?
How did you find the job?
Asked to wait for a min.

Biometrics: 29th Jan
Visa interview: 31st Jan
Today I have attended the visa interview along with my wife and kid passport ( my kid is Infant , so no need to take her for OFC and visa interview) , I just bring my kid DS-160 confirmation page and passport to the interview.

To attend H1b interview in Feb

But in the client letter,my job title is mentioned different from the petition documents because the client doesn't have that particular role at their end ,hence they have mentioned a role which matches closely with my responsibilities.
Can you please let me know if this is going to cause any issue.
However the roles and responsibilities have been mentioned correctly.

H1B expired I797 - Cap exempt
Hi Folks,
I have a question regarding my previous H1B and extension with cap exemption.
I was in US from Apr'2006-Mar'2010 with 3 different employers( 3 separate I797 petitions).In 2010 while I was in India, another employer applied for extension and got a petetion aproved for 1 yr till Nov'2011 but did not use it and stayed in India.
Now I don't have any valid I797 petitions but out of my 6 yrs H1B period I still have 2 years left over. So can this existing H1B revoded and apply for a extension for these 2years instead of applying it as a fresh H1B in the 65K cap?
Appreciate your valuable inputs.

Planning to go for H-1B at Chennai Consulate

I have been in US for 8 years and this is my 3rd stamping(H-1B renewal). I have my immigration petition filed by my employer. I have been with same employer for all the 8 years and with current client for 4 years. I work on EVC model and I can get both vendor and client letters without any problems. Do I need to be worried about stamping?

h1b experience jan 30 at delhi consulate
Today (01/30/2014) me and my husband went for h1b visa stamping at delhi consulate.
My husband's interview was at 8:30am. he is working with big multinational company and had l1 (used 4 years ) & b1 but applied h1 with small company.
Consulate asked 3 questions.
have you worked before future company.
which is your current company
Is it inhouse project
then consulate said "this time we need more document" and gave 221g slip with all left hand checkboxes check.
After that my interview was at 11:00 consulated asked me couple of questions
like company name , is it inhouse project , is your husband coming with you, like this and at the end she said give me DHS (letter to USCIS sent while filing petition) , this is the only document that is missing. i said, i don't have then she said in order to proceed she needs that and said to me that she gonna keep my passort, petition & employer income tax return but at the same time gave me 221g white slip mentioning submit USCIS letter.
me and my husband both are very upset. Please advise what are our chances to get stamped. Also please tell what should be our next steps.
