Post Decision Activity
Hi Guys,

i have a weird case with my H1-b petition raised by my previous employer , it got picked and current status is as below

"On YYYY YYYY YYYY , 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129 PETITION FOR A NONIMMIGRANT WORKER. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."

but without proper knowledge , i moved out of the firm without any other details except petition number.

now my question is that , will this petition number be helpful for my current employer to apply for H1 transfer.
any information provided will be more helpful

Need help on Port of Entry location
Dear All,

I got my H1B stamped and my employer is in Washington. My offer letter is also given based on Washington location. But, I had given my place of stay address in Texas, which is my relative's address.

Regarding Port of Entry, can I enter in US through any location ? I am planning to enter through Texas. Will there be any issues ? What documents should I carry to make sure that I face no issues in PoE ? If there are any links/posts that clarifies this, then please provide them as well.

Thanks,
Gaurav.

Need Help- H1B Blue slip at chennai consulate
Dear all,pls help me out with your thoughts !!

I had my H1b interview 7th Feb at Chennai.Chennai was in very hurry and asked about my petitioner, then my pay, then in house or client? How much i will get, asked the client letter and PO, i gave those, then asked will you work at client place ? I told yes and told about client and address too. Then she has asked me Project letter, I gave that too. Then she has asked me about my job and responsibilities, i have explained evruthing and gave her project document also. Then she has asked me for LCA ,She has seen LCA and told right i can see that you will work at client place .Then she has asked me for offer letter.I gave that too. Then she went inside and spoke to some Indian officer for 10 minutes and came back to counter and asked me to wait for a while.

After 65 minutes i was being called to another counter and no nobody was there. After 5 minutes some Indian VO came and Asked me about my current company, how long with current company, how did you get US H1b offer, my education ,are there any vendor between you company and client? then she has asked me to give all H1b petition docs, H1b offer letters and Client related letters originals.I gave everything then she has asked me wait for 10 minutes.

After 10 minutes i was being called by the Fisrt VO, she gave Blue slip with only checked with additional administrative processing required. She didn't check on any documents. She gave my passport back and told we are keeping your docs and will let you know when to submit your passport.

How much time will it take? They did not ask for any document as they took all original docs and I had everything with me.I had provided all the letters which were asked by VO.I didnot miss any letter.

Pls help me with your answers.

Thanks
Anil

H1B Passport delay
Attended consulate interview on 03/02/2014 and VO said, 'You VISA is approved'. Its been 6 days from the interview, Haven't received any updates from them. When I checked the status in online(http://cdn.ustraveldocs.com/in/in-niv-passporttrack.asp) it says. 'Your passport still with post'.

Any idea, why the deiay is?

Documents to be submitted for 221(G) H1B
Hi friends,
Thank you all for all your valuable inputs regarding US visa applications.
Few days back I had the H1B visa interview and VO gave me blue 221(G) asking for some documents from my petitioner. I have got those from my petitioner.
My question is
1) Should we submit original of the documents asked by VO or copy of the same is sufficient? (Client letter, Contract Letter, Project letter etc.)
2) Should we submit original of 221(G) blue letter, or should we submit its copy only?
3) My understanding is there is nothing like drop box where we can just drop all the documents sealed.
We need to reach OFS and submit documents in hand. Is that so?

Expecting your kind response for the queries,
Thanking you in advance.

H1b experience - Hyd consulate
Hello All, first I would like to thank this for helping me with all my visa questions. So I feel it's courtesy to share my experience here as well.

Date of interview: 06-Feb-2014 08:00 AM
Location : Hyderabad.

I had only one guy in front of me , he had 2 visa H1b and his spouse H4. It was approved.
She called me next and asked me to pass copy of i797 and passport. No other documents asked.

My questions:
1. Which company do you work for?
2. How long have you been working for this company?
3. What's your salary?
4. What's your highest education qualification?
5. Do you have any end client or internal project?
( I m working in EC model )
6. What's your client name?

Your visa has been approved.

Thanks.

H1B OFC and PA experince
Hi All,
Thanks to this forum to clear my doubts.

I wish to share my experience of process.

My OFC was scheduled in BKC ( Bandra Kurla Complex) , Mumbai at 9.00 AM. I reached there by 8.20 AM. We were allowed to enter at 8.50 AM. Whole process got complete in 10 mins. All authorities were co-operative and will assist you during process.

PA was scheduled at 7.45 AM . I reached there at 6.30 AM. My suggestion is to reach at least 1 hour before PA time. We were allowed to enter at 7.00 AM where we went through security checks. We were asked to seat in big hall. one of the officer gave me white pamphlet about U S work rules and rights. Fingerprints were taken at 7.20.

My interview turn came at 7.55 AM.

Here is conversation
1. Please show me your petition and passport
2. Who is your petitioner
3. How long you working with petitioner?
4. Who is your client?
5. Are you single or married?
6. How long you are married?
7. Are you planning to take your wife with you?
8. Did you get white pamphlet ( U S work rights)?
9. Have you gone through it?

and Finally golden words: "Your visa is Approved".

Trust me, All authorities including VO and other officers were co-operative both at OFC and PA center.

You will feel relax during process.

All the Best!!!!

H1B Experience
Hey All,
Thanks for everyone who have been sharing their experiences on this website. I attended my H1b interview today. All of the questions were similar to the people mentioning here but my ending was a bit different.
My Visa counselor asked for employment letter that i didn't have and her reaction was not very happy about it. She said they need some more processing on my case but didn't give me any color form or any tracking number to get update on my case.
Have anyone else faced the same problem? I am worried what is going to happen. Should i keep my hope alive?
