Biometrics: 29th Jan
Visa interview: 31st Jan
Today I have attended the visa interview along with my wife and kid passport ( my kid is Infant , so no need to take her for OFC and visa interview) , I just bring my kid DS-160 confirmation page and passport to the interview.

Me: Good Morning Sir
VO: Good Morning Sir, Passport Please
Me: Handover all passports (Myself, Spouse, Kid) along with my original I-797
VO: He scanned the bar code on passport and asked me what you goona work for YYYY company?
Me: Explained about job position offered me and Job duties
VO: What is your salary?
Me: Explained
VO: What is your highest degree?
Me: explained
VO: Which University?
Me: Explained
VO: You have a kid
Me; yes
VO: will you applying for your kid as well?
Me; yes

To attend H1b interview in Feb
Hi Friends,
I will be attending my H1b visa interview in Feb.
I have all the petition related documents,new LCA,MSA and client letter.
But in the client letter,my job title is mentioned different from the petition documents because the client doesn't have that particular role at their end ,hence they have mentioned a role which matches closely with my responsibilities.
Can you please let me know if this is going to cause any issue.
However the roles and responsibilities have been mentioned correctly.

H1B expired I797 - Cap exempt
Hi Folks,
I have a question regarding my previous H1B and extension with cap exemption.
I was in US from Apr'2006-Mar'2010 with 3 different employers( 3 separate I797 petitions).In 2010 while I was in India, another employer applied for extension and got a petetion aproved for 1 yr till Nov'2011 but did not use it and stayed in India.
Now I don't have any valid I797 petitions but out of my 6 yrs H1B period I still have 2 years left over. So can this existing H1B revoded and apply for a extension for these 2years instead of applying it as a fresh H1B in the 65K cap?

Planning to go for H-1B at Chennai Consulate
Hi,
I have been in US for 8 years and this is my 3rd stamping(H-1B renewal). I have my immigration petition filed by my employer. I have been with same employer for all the 8 years and with current client for 4 years. I work on EVC model and I can get both vendor and client letters without any problems. Do I need to be worried about stamping?

h1b experience jan 30 at delhi consulate
Today (01/30/2014) me and my husband went for h1b visa stamping at delhi consulate.
My husband's interview was at 8:30am. he is working with big multinational company and had l1 (used 4 years ) & b1 but applied h1 with small company.
Consulate asked 3 questions.
have you worked before future company.
which is your current company
Is it inhouse project
then consulate said "this time we need more document" and gave 221g slip with all left hand checkboxes check.
After that my interview was at 11:00 consulated asked me couple of questions
like company name , is it inhouse project , is your husband coming with you, like this and at the end she said give me DHS (letter to USCIS sent while filing petition) , this is the only document that is missing. i said, i don't have then she said in order to proceed she needs that and said to me that she gonna keep my passort, petition & employer income tax return but at the same time gave me 221g white slip mentioning submit USCIS letter.
me and my husband both are very upset. Please advise what are our chances to get stamped. Also please tell what should be our next steps.

Attending H1B Visa Interview At Different Consulate
I am planning to attend H1B visa interview next week , as per my work location i need to attend the interview in Hyd.
But 2 people received 221g at Hyd consulate in the past 2 days from the same employer. So i am planning to attend interview in Mumbai consulate.
Could somebody suggest me whether i can go to Mumbai consulate instead of Hyd?
Any body has any experience in the past?
What kind of questions i can expect if i attend the interview in Mumbai?

He took the white pamphlet and said "Your visas are approved " .
I was surprised as there were no question asked to my wife .
There were few others from my company and everyone got the H1B visa approved.

H1B Stamped on 1/14/2014 @ Mumbai
I attended the Biometrics on 01/13 with my wife and kids. I had a 12:30 PM appointment. I reached 30 mins earlier. When i enquired about the Queue to the Security he said it was 12:00 PM Queue but said Sir you can ask your wife and kids to sit inside , probably because my baby was too small and it was very sunny out there.
Once I entered in I was asked to show the DS-160. Please just keep this with you when you go for Biometric nothing else is required when you are required to go in the Building. The DS-160 will be checked along with your Passports and allowed in. After Security checkup we are supposed to go counter as you enter and they will put a sticker(bar code) on your passports followed which the security will give you token. Children are not given token but are supposed to join you during finger printing. Your token number will be announce followed which your passport along with token has to handed over to the Officer. He\She will take your finger prints and photographs. This is a very short process.
Following the biometric, next day on 01/14 was supposed to go for Interview at the Consulate. Here the only thing asked while you are in line by the officers will be Appointment Confirmation letter for you and your family. They check and let you in following which you will be asked to seat in open area.
People with kids are given preference and let in first, so I was asked to enter along with few other families with infants specially. Once let in you are routed by the staff to a counter where your Finger prints are re verified and redirected to the counters.Before going to the counter please keep you I797B ready and passports too.
Actual Interview:
Me: Greetings exchanged.
VO: Sir can i see your passports please?
ME: Sure Sir. Handed over the Passports.
VO : Can i see you I797B
Me: Sure Sir. Handed the entire Package.
VO: Which company do you work for?
