Hi Friends,
I had attended VISA interview on 15th May 2012 8.30 AM. VO said your visa is approved will send a week.
Still I am not received, I dont know what's going on. I contacted many times to VFS, they dont have enough information and the said they are just mediators.
I read so many reply's, but no one is like my case. If any body in same situation kindly send me mail or post your experience here.

Hi, Thanks for immihelp, it has guided me a lot and made myself prepare for the interview with Ease.
Always make sure you take multiple copies of 50x50mm photos, If you are wearing spectacles please have copies of your photo with spectacles and without spectacles. Because you dont know what picture the indian verifying officer will ask for... Else you nee to take photos inside which will delay you interview.

H1 B interview
Hi,
Date 28-05-2012
1) Reach atleast 30 minutes earlier than your interview timing.
2) Do not forget to take 50 mm X 50 mm photograph of yours (Recent) otherwise you're interview will get delayed.
3) carry cash atleast Rs 200-300/-
4)Be calm
5)Indians will be rude and Americans will be very helpful and humble (As I noticed). do not get in any unusual discussion and do as directed.
Now this will happen inside consulate , your documents will be checked by security gaurd on enterance try not to carry and sealed envelop , carry your interview invitaion atleast two copies of it.
after that you will be asked to sit in a hallway you have to wait for your token number where some on contract Indian official will put sticker with serial number on it , on your passport and will bundle it , next your finger prints will be taken, you will be directed to another building here again you will wait for your token number.
be calm and pleasent do not get nervous or fumble or annoyed or lose heart because you see somebody is getting rejected , do not lie speak the fact and the truth ..
now to me VO asked on three questions
VO : your client name ?
Me: such and such is my client and they are known for their such and such product
VO: Your salary in US?
Me: X $ per annum & X/12 $ per month
VO: What are you going to do there?
Me:Explained about my work in project.

Came out : Autorikshaw drivers will read your mood and will ask you to pay him more for sweets , I've paid Rs250/- instead of Rs60/- so try to avoid taking Rickshaws from just outside walk and little and then take a ride ..

Hi,
Thanks to all for posting all the Visa experience.
My interview was at 8.45AM but i reached the Visa office at 7. Security told me to wait upto 8.30. @8.30 they allowed me and my dependent inside.
Security checked the Passport and appointment letter.
Then they allowed inside and there i collected the bank receipt and other documents as my company gave all the documents before.
From there they scanned all the documents and they told to remove even belt watch and others to scan.
After that they allowed for biometirc scanning. Here i waited for around 30min as the queue was very huge.
After completing this they allowed me to waiting hall where lots of people are waiting and they gave me a token @9.25.
I memorized my answers and discussed with my dependent.
I waited for almot 40mins. The person who came after me got the call before me only. Dont know what is happening but i was sitting calm and waiting for my turn.
My token was called and there is person waiting before me.
So i waited there for 5min.
Here it is like railway station ticket booking. Lots of noice.
Now my turn came.
Me: Good Morning Sir
VO: Good Morning, How are you.
Here i was littled tensed and VO office smiled, so i relaxed.
Me: I am good, how about u
VO: Good
VO: how long ur with xx comp
Me: consern ans
VO: Client name
Me: consern ans
VO: how long got married
Me: consern ans

H1B Visa - Chennai Consulate
It was a quite wonderful experience for me. My interview appointment was at 11 AM .
Before I entered into consulate, they asked me to show my Appointment Letter and my DS160 Confirmation Page. When you show that you will be given the token number and its a process your interview will be based on token number.
After that security will check you and your files, to know whether you have any CD, pendrive, etc... which is not supposed to be carried inside (even mobile phones)
Once I entered in the consulate, waited for my token to be displayed in the LCD screen. Once the number is displayed, will move to the window where I am supposed to be and they will check your documents and later folded it and kept my passport inside with appointment letter.
After this I was asked to enter into Interview hall, here also same process, waited for my token to be displayed in the LCD screen. My number was displayed and Luckily, there was no one in front of me and back of me during my interview.
I passed my documents..
VO : Good Morning
Me : Good Morning, How are you..?
VO : Good and How are you..?
Me : Good Too, Thank you
Checked all my document for a min and here the questions starts...
VO : Purpose of your trip?

VO: Where did you go?
Me: YYYY University
VO: Ah, my grandfather went there but that didn't help me get in!
Me: (Laughing) They dinged me the first time I applied, but I persisted and it worked out. I got lucky.
VO: (Starts laughing) What did you study?

It was a superb and tensed experience for me while attending the Visa interview.
I attended the H1B Visa interview on 25th May 2012 at Hyderabad, It was a bit stress and strainful preinterview work.
As soon as I stood in the queue for interview there were four people standing infront of me and among that I remember there were three YYYY employees and one guy from Microsoft.
Amazingly and shockingly what I observed while standing in the queue was all the three guys were rejected for the visa ( I am extremely sorry for all the guys) and person from YYYY got through the Visa.
The Person infront of me was from YYYY and his visa was rejected and I lost almost all my hopes and stood infront of the interviewer with the hope of just bleak chances of getting visa.
I was asked the following questions:
1) GoodMorning , How are doing ?
2) He asked me which company I work for and who is client in USA ?
3)Location of Client
4)Reporting manager and his location ?
5)Client details
6)Does your reporting manager and you work at same location.
Thats it, came out the golden words

H1B visa approved
It was a big day for me .. My interview appoint was 9AM 25th May 2012.. I reached the consulate at 8AM .. there were quite a few bunch of people sitting around the corner of the consulate .. i started joining in the queue. Before i entered in the consulate they asked me to show my interview letter.. so all you people ready with the letter before joining in the line so that you no need to look around and start searching your paper. Once i entered in the consulate i sat on a bench and some consulate guys came to us and asked us to take out our passports and I797B forms and they later fold it and kept in my passport .. So there are lot people still waiting in the line to sit out side wait for the call .. so dont panic though your visa interview scheduled at 9AM and you are still in the line .. Its a process the interview will be based on your token number which you will get once you go inside the actual waiting hall. Once you get the toke they will guide you to go for the finger prints.. Once they taken your finger prints then you will have to wait for your turn for the interview. Keep monitoring the screen .. it will display the ongoing token and next one in the queue along with the window number ... Dont try to think too much about any things .. you may see some panic and disappointed faces after getting their visa rejected. Dont worry those are other category of visas.. I waited for my turn and approached the alloted window ..
Me: G'd Morning .. How are you doing today.
VO: I'm good thanks. How are you?
Me: good too thanks.
VO: Pass the 1797B and passport.
Me: Yes mam. Passed the documents to her.
