My H1B visa got expired on SEP 2009,i am planning to attend H1B visa interview in NOV 2010.
Its been more than 1 year since my visa got expired.
If i go for H1B visa interview ,does my visa comes under a regular H1B visa or will it be a renewal?

Submiting dosuments at Hyderabad Consulate
Hi,
Do we need to submit all documents along with client letter at HYD consulate before attending H1B visa interview?

H1 Visa approved on 14-Oct
Hi,
I have my H1 Visa approved on 14 Oct and got my passport back today. VO has asked me below questions.
1) what are you going to do there.
2) how long you are with current employer (since I am moving to US Same company)
3) what is your qualifications.
4) can you show your original certificates.
5) Did you masters completed or studying now.
AFter that VO said your visa has been approved and will be couriered in weeks time.
I said thanks and left the place.
I want to thank everyone who posted their experiences which helped me to prepare better.

I was on H4 been in the US and got H1.

Hi ,
on OCT 14th i had my visa interview and i would like to mention that VFS team present at the consulate are very helpful and i request you guys to carefully listen their instructions and follow them .Below are the things i took care of ,
1) I didn`t bring any metal,leather item to VFS not even belt .
2) i have choosen transperent folders for my docs .
3) I was there are consulate by 7.15 even though my interview was scheduled at 8.30 . Actully i was out of consulate by 8.20 :)
4) all the docs are arrenged in such way that i can bring out them at anytime.
All you need is ur interview letter and passport thats it .All other docs you carry will be usefull in interview .If visa asks u for it .
below are the questions,

ME : Replied

Today me, my wife and son applied for H1 and H4 Visa..
I am full time employee working with a CA Based Retail Company..
I think they grill the applicants much more now..
Asked following question:
a) What do i do for YYYY ?
b) Where i am going in US?
c) Whats my designation?
d) What work do i do?
e) How did i get a job in YYYY ?
f) Keep asking who is the client and so on but i told him that my employer is my client and i work for my employer only directly on site
g) asked if my daughter is US Citizen?

Got 221g for my kid(H4 visa)

On oct 4th I have attended the H4 visa interview only for my kid, since I have already have H4 visa. They gave me the 222 g forms and asked me to submit the following documents
1. 6 monts bank statement for the principal applicant
2. Paystubs
3. Employment letter
My husband is working in US since June, 2010. so we have the bank statement for only 4 months.
My question is
Shall we submit the bank statement here in India for 2 months and the rest from the US ??

I got H1b approval on 2008 and I went for H1B stamping on Sep 2010. Below are the questions asked by the VO.
1. Who is your client?
2. Client Address?
3. Why you didnt get your H1b stamped before? (reason for delay)
4. How long you have been working with YYYY company?
5. How do you get job in YYYY company?
After answering all the question the VO gave me the 221 g form and told me "Is the client requirement still exists"?. The reason is I had my client offer letter on 2008.
Unfortunately we are having some issues with the client which gave the offer on 2008 so I will not able to get the letter from the client.
So can I get the offer letter from some other client and drop those documents in VFS? Please advise.

Extending I-94 after Passport Renewal
I have my I-797 until Jan 2011. My passport is getting expired by 10/26/2010. So, my I-94 was only until this date: 10/26/2010.
Recently I got my passport renewal and now I need to extend my I-94. What is the procedure for extending the I-94? I live in Burlingame, California. Can any give me advise?
