I scheduled interview in Mumbai consulate on November 16, 2009 - 12.30 pm.
I reached VFS office at 11.45 am and took breakfast and VFS office bus took us to the Mumbai consulate at 12.15 pm.
Visa officer called me at 2.30 pm for an interview.
I and My wife went inside in the door no 14.
Here are the conversion
I - Good afternoon Sir.
VO - Good afternoon.
VO - Are working in xxx company ?
I - Yes.
VO - What are you doing for this Company ?
I - I am xxx.
VO - Your company is doing xxx.
I - Yes.
VO - checking something in computer for 1 minute.
VO - where are you staying in USA ?
I - Ohio.
VO - Talked about winter in Ohio because he was from Ohio state itself.
VO - Your visa is approved and you will get passport in the courier.
They not even asked for single document and also not even asked single question to my wife.

I have attended h1b interview at mumbai counslate today .Below is how it went
Counselor: Are you going to work for same company?(no idea why she asked this one)
Me: No
Counselor: Have you been to US before on f1?(again no idea)
Me: No,i never been to US
Counselor: What are you going to do with new company?
Me: They hired me as programmer analyst .
Counselor:Are you going to do project?
Me:Yes(with obvious face).
Counselor: what project are you going to work?
Me: ACS got various client so i will be doing protal's Development and deployment for clients (i continued). I am going to get requiremetns from clients,design and develop protals .My main techonlogy is java so i will be writting java programs(she kept blank face when i said this ,guess she dont what java means).
Counselor: What is your highest degree?
Me: Msc at leed metropolitan university.
Counselor: Is this engineering course?
Me: Yes(i got confused by this questions)
Counselor:How many years this programme is?
Me: 1 year (then i knew why she asked earlier question),i continued and said i have also done my b-tech which is 4 year
Counselor:Where have you done your b-tech?
Me:in Hyderabad .
Counselor:How long are you working with current company?
Me:11 months
Counselor:How many employees this company have?
Me:over a 100
Counselor:Whats you current salary?
Me:so much
Counselor: SO you didnt use your f1?(no idea why she is asking this)
Me: said i have never been issued f-1
Counsler:She looked more carefully and found its been refused and said , "oh its refused,sry"
Me:Yeaa ,it was in 2003 though.
then she took sometime looking at her computer ,then she gave me I797,I129 and said "you take these two , you have been issued visa and your passport will be couriered to you".
I felt really happy ,wished her new year and Christmas said bye and came out.

I have attended H4 Visa interview as recently as 11th Dec 2009 @ Hyderabad.
Docs asked 1.Passport 2.HDFC Reciept 3.DS forms 4.I797A 5.Spouse Passport with Valid Visa.

VO: Are you working ?
A: No I'm not
VO: So you are joining your wife in the US ?

Advice Please
Hi,
I need your helping hand on my H1-B case.
I got the EAC number in random selection process in 2007. I went to consulate interview in jan 2008. At that time, they have given 221g blue form for additional administrative processing. After 1 month, they have given the visa rejection letter and in that letter they mentioned we are not issuing visa to you due to your employer is not registered with US government. I approached my employer regarding on this. They filled a motion again this ie they were reopened case in aug, 2008. From that day onwards it is showing same message
On August 13, 2008, a USCIS office received this case from the State Department with a request that we review it. We will notify you when we complete our review, or if we need something from you.
So, now what can I do?
Would you please guide me, what are better options for to get visa?

I'm an F1-OPT-H1B. My H1b started Oct'09. Since I could not get dates at Hyderabad consulate, I went for Chennai which my scheduled interview date was on 4th December.There were lot of H1b's on that day and most of them got approved except two or three who got 221g.
The interview process was very cool and the questions VO asked me were the simple and straight questions which I expected. Here is the conversation with the VO:
VO: Are you working for ABC?
Me: Yes.
VO: How long you been working for ABC?
Me: since May 09
VO: What is the project you are working on?
Me: XYZ.
VO: Can I see your paystubs with ABC?
Me: Given him. Had a very long look at them and asked me
VO: what is this difference in the gross annual income for the recent stub(oct) and the earlier one(Sep)?
Me: It was my status difference. I am on H1b since october and earlier I was on OPT.
VO: ohh ok
Me: yes.
Next comes the golden words
VO: Your visa is approved and will be couriered to you in a week.
Me: Thank you and have a nice weekend.
VO: Enjoy your stay.
Thats it,no more docs were asked,even though I carried them.
Last but not the least, I have seen lot of people from Hyd who scheduled their interviews at chennai. So guys if you could not make an appointment at Hyd, No worries at all, you could go to Chennai. And Moreover, Hyd consulate is giving 221g to almost all of them who attend.
Finally, I would wish you all good luck for those yet to go for stamping and those waiting for clearances with 221g.

Hi,
I attended H1B stamping at Hyderabad on Nov4 th & issued 221g yellow color form requesting for additional documents. I submitted these docs on Nov 13th in VFs drop box. Was anyone issued Yellow form & how did it took to get an update. Please share your experience.

Hi everyone,
i just got h4 approved from uscis and i m dependent on wife and she also got her h1 aproved and her project is going on so she can not get off from job and i want to go india for social function . and we dont have stmping yet, so my quistion is can go alone and get stmping, is there any problem if i go alone ? what is the chances if i go alone as h4 dependent for stamping.?

H1b stamping in Chennai and passport return
Hello
I need some advice/help.I am in change from J1 to h1b (academic,postdoc).I need to travel to Singapore to my sister's wedding in end of Feb.I need to get H1B stamped in Chennai consulate.I hear h1b (pink slip case) it takes 2-3months.Is it good to go in Feb beginning for visa interview or in March since I need my passport to travel to another country.Will they return my passport if I request them for my travel to another country before stamping the visa?What would be the best way to schedule the interview?

I was given white form from VFS to come with required docs like company detail ralted to tax employees and wage reports and all
I went VFS office with the required docs and they asked me just 2 question and issue my H1
