H4 visa approved but in administrative processing
Hi I had my H4 visa interview on 20th Dec 2019 in New Delhi. After the interview the visa officer told me that my visa is approved. There was no update on my visa status until 26th dec after which it was updated to Administrative Processing. There has been no update on my Visa status on CEAC website since then. My passport status shows as still with consulate. It's been over two weeks now and I am really stressed !!

Is anyone else facing a similar situation??

SEVIS administrative processing
I appeared for my visa interview on 31st Dec, 2019 to get my H1-B visa stamped. It was a COS from F1-OPT. I got a yellow slip saying "additional SEVIS administrative processing is required and it will take 2-3 weeks". Did anyone else face this issue? How much time does it take normally in this case to get the visa stamped ?

Dropbox - Visa status is Admin Processing but Passport status is out for delivery
We dropped of our documents on Dec 21.
CEAC status -
Case Created - Dec 31
Case Updated- Dec 31
Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days.

Passport status -

Passport has been received from the consular section, and is currently being processed for delivery

Guessing this means that it is probably a call for interview? :(

H1B Dropbox Chennai - December 19
Has anyone got an update for Dropbox in Chennai that has been submitted on or after December 19?

My experience:
I have went for Dropbox in Chennai Location on "December 19". My case has been generated on December 20 and then updated again to December 26.

From December 27, the status has been displayed as "Administrative Processing". Does anyone knows how long i'm supposed to wait? Because, it's more than two weeks now and i have my return flight in a week's time from now.

H4 visa issued after a month
My wife went to India and she went to Mumbai for stamping. Sharing the experience so that it might help others who might go through the same.

OFC: Nov 25th 2019
Visa Interview: Nov 26th 2019. Interview was pretty straightforward with simple questions like why Mumbai as we are from Hyd., Where was Son born and asked for 797.

Dec 3rd: documents received and ready for interview something like that
Dec 4th: updated, admin processing

Previously we got our passports with in couple of days of interview but this time we didnt get any notification after a week. then we started checking the status of ceac website. It was in Admin processing till Dec 30 and got issued on 31st. Passport ready for pick up on Jan 2nd Meanwhile we had to cancel her return flight and also were stressed out not knowing whats going on. Not sure why they delayed it for so long and that too for H4.

H1/H4- 5th extension FTE stamped - chennai consulate
Finger Printing in HYD
Stamping in Chennai

Consulate was very crowded. We just went half hour before.
interview was pretty straightforward. Salary, residing state, # of kids and their age and 797.

Passports were ready for us to pick up in one week.

We saw 221g's given while we were waiting, but they are clearly stating the timeline, if it is just a simple check they want to do- like one week or 4 days or 2 weeks.

Be positive! Happy new year

All the best

Passport has been received from the consular section, and is currently being processed for delivery
H1 and H4 visa Dropbox Chennai

Dec 24 - Dropped off documents
Till Jan 1 - passport is still with the consulate
Today - Passport has been received from the consular section, and is currently being processed for delivery

on the USTravelDocs website , and on the instant passport tracker, I never saw a status that says Visa Issued.

Why is this so?
Should I assume that the visa has not been issued?

221G F1 to H1 Dec 2019 HYD
Hi,

want to share my experience, which I went to through process from F1 to H1B.
Finger prints on : 17th Dec 2019
Interview Date : 19th Dec 2019
Issued small 221G refusal slip, which they told there is small administrative process should go before issuing H1B, normal questions like which company and client stuff assked, I am working in VMC model. Didnt ask any documents and retained my passport.
Case created on 17 th Dec
Case updated on 19th Dec (Interview date ) --AP
Case again updated 26 th Dec ---AP
Case again updated to 27 th Dec ---
Case Update on 31st Dec -- Issued

Most of the cases from f1 to h1 issuing small 221g slip and issuing h1b in 7 days to 10 days for sure. But if there are holidays like dec 25th and jan1st, it might take 2 more days.
