hi i am monica from kolkata.i had my H1 visa interview on 5th january 2009 the interview goes like this.

The interview was really tough. she interviewed me for 10 mins she was very strict.

I had attended the interview on 6th oct vo had given 221(g)whiteform and asked me to submit taxreturns,wagereports,full discription(project)
once again i want consultae on dec 5th and submitted the docs.vo put my case for additional processing

HI all,
my interview slo timing was at 8.30 am...joined in queue by 8.00 am and went inside by 8.20...got finger print by 9.00 am...then went to second building and waited there for some time siiting in chair .......then joined in the queue and finally faced the VO.. here starts
VO : Hi gud mrng!
me : hello wish u the same ! gave the blue folder
VO : so what is your experience !
me : I have 2 years of experience in YYYY X
VO : what is your qualification?
me : Bachelors of Technology with specalization in EEE
VO : which company u r going to work in USA?
me : I am going to work in company YYYY X
VO: which project r u going to work? is it inhouse or client?
me : its an Inhouse proj and told all the details of proj clearly for 2-3 mins
VO : whats ur company website?
me : told that she checked the website for 5-7 minutes....might be checking for the project details which I mentioned.......
VO : ok I am issuing your Visa...good luck..

mainly present a good posture with plain face(no tension)...dont waste time in searching documents when Vo asks...give them immediatly...speak clearly and slowly and confidently...
see that what ur proj u mention proper docs are present and details are mentioned in company website...(especially for inhouse proj)

iam in full confution iam going to attend interview soon.my employer didn't give me project discription ,client letter but i have tax papers ,wage reports.if vo will ask about project what i have to tell.pls let me know iam in deep confution.

successful stamping
Hi All,
thanks all of you for your detailed postings. I pretty much carried every doc mentioned by folks on this website. I got my visa stamped without any questions.
Only question asked was "how are you doing?" that was it and before I knew the VO said that I'll get my visa in a week!

MY H1B Experience

My experience is below :-
Within 50 Min of time I was in and out. Just 5 min of Interview, the questions were very straight & simple. Howerver she carefully scrutinized the Project description also the website of Gear digger & techenzyme,Inc,.
1. May I have your documents plz
Ans:- Sure (I just gave the doc's (I-179B, DS156, DS157, Passport))
2. I also need the folder
Ans :- Sure ( I gave the Green folder which was given in the first counter)
3. Where would you be working ? Petitioner's place or Client Place
Ans :- Petitioner's Place
4.What is you Job Role?
Ans :- Finance analyst
5. What is your Project?
Ans :- A In house project for GearDigger.
5. Do you have any Project description with you?
Ans:- Yes ( I extended the printouts of the project description)
5-8 Min she carefully read all the pages of the project, surfed something on her comp may be the related websites.
Your Visa has been approved, I will mail your PP to your address, You may go now.
Ans :-Thank you. :-)

I think the first thing that matters is our fate, luck, that the persons' mood should be good. and the documents should not spoil his/her mood.

Where shall I apply for H1B stamping?
Hi All,
I have worked in Pune for more than 2 years. After that I have come to UK and I have been working here for 11 months.
My H1B petition filled by a consultant has been selected and now I want to get my stamping done. My petition paper prepared by my consultant have my consulate as Mumbai.
My native city is Delhi.
So in my case can I apply at VFS Delhi even if my H1B papers has Mumbai consulate?
Also, Can I apply in UK for H1B stamping?

Dear Friends,

Can any one tell me how many days it may take for the officials to check my documents and chances of getting the VISA?

hi,
i went for H1B visa interview on 31st dec.
i got 221(g) form and they asked me to submit my documents through the drop box. shall i also submit my passport through the drop box, because they didn't take my passport. please anyone tell me. It's very urgent for me since i have to go there by 15th of this month.

Got H1B in 2007
Hi Exp is like this.
I was in deep thinking if i will get h1b or not.
But from God wish i got h1b from delhi consulate in dec.
Same time my wife also got stamp but my daughter she was 4 month at that time and it was not passport so my wife went after 4 month for baby passport and god wish she also got visa stamp.
In end i say if god wish they every think will work but we also have to try some thing better.
