I approach to US consulate chennai on 10th september 2007 and visa officer handover me a 221(g) white sheet.
After 7 months i got this information from USCIS,
does anybody had this situation when applied to H1 b visa,
My question is can i get the positive response.
Iam very thankful if anybody can answer my query.

successful H1B stamping in chennai in APRIL first week
Hi Guys,
Thanks to the website and all the guys who share there valuable experiences.I have been going through the website for the past 6months and it was of great help for me.
I booked my H1B slot in dec but since some other guys from my employer were given pink slips my employer asked me to cancel my appointment.Finally after going behind them and getting the docs i went in april first week.
I stayed in a hotel very near to the consulate just 5 minutes walk .My appointment was at 1:00.I went at 12:15 to the consulate.After finger priting and all ,i went to the counter.
Interview:
VO :goodmorning how r u doing.
ME :Great mam thank you how do u do.
vo:mmmm good can u give me ur ds forms.
ME:sure passed on the docs.
VO:Which branch u did ur engg
ME:ELECTRICAL
VO:HOW long u r working in ur current company
ME: 3YEARS My current company is among top 5 in india .But the other vo asked another guy why r u leaving such good company and joining small company in US and created lot of problem for him.
So i was prepared for the question.But she didnt ask me .
VO: Can i see ur current company docs
ME: Passes on offer letter ,payslips for one year bank statemebnt for 1 year and form 16 for 2 years.
VO:How big is ur employer in US
ME:blah blah aout the company for 2min
vo:PROJECT internal or client
ME : INTERNAL
PASSES ON PROJECT REPORT which is about 30 pages
vo:plz explain the project sir
ME: BLAH BLAH
vo:ur visa is granted
ME : SORRY(I couldnt hear the golden words)
vo:ur visa is granted sir .
me :thank u mam .
can i collect the passport at the end of the day.
VO: It will be courieried.

I was well prepared for the interview.
I went in formals.
I arranged all the my docs with index.when i opened my file VO could see the index and all the tags on each folder. I didnt take any time to give the docs.i could see guys bringing docs in big covers and searching there .That gives wrong impression.

Successful H1B Visa
Dear All,
I have been browsing this website since an year and I must say that major part of my success in H1B visa approval is bcoz of this site itself.
Thanks a lot immihelp.
I appeared for my H1B visa interview for the first time in july last year.Then i got 221(g) and i was asked to submit unemployment wage report from my employer and i submitted them in august last year.In december,I got a rejection letter stating that my employer will not provide me a job there and therefore rejecting my case.They didnt send my H1b approval notice (I797) and I129.They sent all my documents back to USCIS.
Then I made my H1B transfer to a new company with lot of efforts and went for visa interview on April 10th.My interview went on like this...
Me : Hey,Good Afternoon.How are you doing?
VO : I am doing good
VO : To which company are you going?
Me : YYYY
VO : How do you know about this company?
Me : I posted my resume in dice.com and they shortlisted me and contacted me and conducted 3 rounds of technical screening
VO : She typed something in her computer and asked me your H1B visa was previously rejected.
Me : Yes
VO : You know the reason why it was rejected right?
Me : Yes I Know
VO : She spoke something about violation of US laws about 30 sec(which i didnt understand) and lastly said hope you understand all those
Me : With smile i said yes i understand
VO : Then what do you know about this company
Me : Blah Blah Blah
VO : What are the reasearches you did to know about this company
Me : This time I was very cautios in choosing this employer because of my exp with previous employer and blah blah blah
VO : So you will working on inhouse or client project
Me : Client
VO : Who is your client?
Me : ZZZ
VO : But YYYY is again a consultancy not a client
Me : Yes he is a prime vendor.Through that i will be working for a project
VO : so for which project are u going to work?

I forgot some of my documents there and out of happiness i was rushing from there.Then she asked me to take all the documents and then leave.Then i realised and took all my documents from the basin and rushed from there immediately without looking back..I was scared if she calls me back and give my passport back to me.So i didnt see her face again and left from the counter.

i got visa after 5 months of my interview
actually i attended at chennai consulate on november 5th for stamping but i was issued 221(g) blue form and asked to submit extra docs which were not with me on that day on march 10th i submitted the docs at vfs and i got visa on 28 th march

I have attended the interview on 31 march.I was near the counsulate @ 9.30 AM(My time was 10:30).At the gate they saw my appointment letter and let me in.Then inside my finger prints were taken and the office arranged application,approval letter,appointment letter and photo in order and send me to the next room.I had to submit my DD which I have taken since I have taken my HDFC receipt for only 100$.
I was in the queue for 30 mins.Then my turn came.
1.)Why are u going to US.
A.)I got an opportunity with xxx company and I am going to work there.
2.)How did u know about the company.
A.)One of my friend woking in the same company refered me.
3.) Do u have current companyt's experience letters.
A.) I am working in the same company for 8 yrs and passed on my appointment letters
2-3 mins he was browsing the system.Then some other officer came and they were chatting.I waited.
After sometime you must be working with the client do u have the client aggrement he asked.
I passed on the client aggrement .He checked it(This time again the same officer came to started talking to the interviewer) I was waiting.He just passed on the Wage card and againg started talking to the other officer after 2 mins he said to me you can go and continued talking to the other officer(HE said this by keeping my passport and my application and returned all my docs).I did not move from the not move from the counter and put a question mark face.Then he under stood and said ur visa is issued.
One thing I want to suggest all.Contract letter is very very important.And the counsulate should have a very good impression on who ur employer is.If ur employer is new then then they will find out all the info about the employer and if they find any mismatchs like the current project is not running they will not issue the visa).So be careful while filing ur pitition.That pititioner should be genuine.Or else ur visa will be rejected because of ur pitioners mistake.

H1 processing going on..want to apply F2
Hi,
I have a H1 petetion approved, which is under processing(got 221g, henceforth its under Administrative Processing).
Since i do not know how long it would take for Administrative Processing, I would like to apply F2, cince my husband is in US on F1.
1. Please tell me if i apply for F2, will i H1 be discarded or suspended, will H1 processing get affected?
2. Will my F2 stamping have any problems because of my H1 getting processed?
3. How much finance do i need to show for F2 stamping?
Any suggestion/advice is most welcome. Please help. Thanks in advance.

Query on H1B

I have gone through some past comments on this forum and found that the H1B visa interview has been conducted through the month of Jan, Feb, Mar etc. As far as I know there are some lottery system by which the H1B visa are allotted and the interviews take place after that.
I have got the offer letter but still waiting to hear back from my company on the next step. What can be the next course of action?
Can someone pease share your knowledge?

visa suspended
as per the 221g issued to me i hav sent all the documents on march 18th through vfs drop box.
and today i got a courier.
in that its mentioned as below:
based on the docs u hav submited to us,and the information elicite in ur interview with consular office,we are not able to issue you an h1b temporary work visa, because:
yor petitioner does not appear to be either able or willing to provide qualifying employement in the united states in accordance with appropriate laws and regulations.
in accordance with united states law and department of state guidelines , action on ur case has been suspended ,and the i-129 petition for non immi worker filed on ur behalf wiil be returned to united states citizensgip and immigservises(uscis) with a memorandum explaining facts of ur case as presented to us at the time of interview.the us consulate chennai is no longer handling ur case ,and will be unable to giv u any info on status of ur petition.
for ur information ur visa was refused today under setion 221(g) of immigration nd national act(ina).essentially this section states that a visa canot be issued to anyone whos application does not appear to the consular officer to meet the requirements of ina or of the regulations under.
