Am Raj here from CA . I had done my H1b Filing in 2004 and my petition was under query for almost 2 and half years in Chennai consulate . Its cleared in Feb 2007 , I came over to US in June 2007 and applied for extension , I got the extension till Sep 2010 . My question is what will be my status after Sep2010 , Can I apply for one more extension or Do I need to apply New H1B .. Please help me in this . one of my friend has said that for each H1b petition is valid only for 6 years ,so according to him I can not extend my second term , He said I need to apply for a new petition ..Please help me , in case if any one come across this type of situation

how to fill new ds-156 after 221g.
once i attended interview at chennai consulte.
my visa got refused under 221g .now i am planning send my documents to chennai consulate.
but i don t know where can i found new ds-156 form to fill. pls send reply .... urgent.

I got my visa approved on 31st march, and got the passport delivered on very next day.
If i have got the visa approved, and one of the main reason is this website, thnx for all who shared their experiences
As every one know abt the security n finger printing, aftr tht i was guided to another building, there were around 15 people in front of me in Q, and 3 counters for work realted visas. two officers were rejecting most of the applicants. and one lady in 30's was handling student visa. As there was only 2 students, we were guided to join tht counter.
My Interview was like this
VO: Good morning, How ru.
Me: Am fine, How ru
VO:Hmmm H1b after seeing the folder
VO:So ur going for xxxx company
ME: yeah
VO:what for?
ME:I am going for a Inhouse project
VO:what is the project abt?
ME:Explained
VO:Can i see the Proj related Docs
ME:Sure, (handed the proj docs)
After glancing few pages she typed in her comp
VO:How long u working in present co?
ME:4 years
VO:can i see the offer letter n experience letter
(after verifying, she was busy seeing some thing in the comp)
Thn came the words, UR Visa is ok and it will be delivered in 2 days for the address mentioned in DS-156. she retained my passport and DS-156 n DS-157 n returned all other docs.
ME:Thank you madam have a great day
VO:U too have a great day.
Well this was my experience.
Present urself well, be confident n sure of what u tell

First of all Thank u very much to all for posting their experoences, i got confidence after going through this site only.
my time was 8.15 am on 10th march but they allowed me inside at 8 am only and came out at 9 am. my actual interview was around 20 mins.
The interview was looking a bit serious and strict. i had a chance to go to some other counter but i dont know y i opted that only. it happend suddenly may be thats my luck.
The interview went like this.....
VO : He called me to the counter
ME : good morning sir
VO : No reply, asked me the folder
ME : Given blue folder
VO : r u a MCA holder
Me : Yes i have done MCA
VO : whcih class did u get Second or First
Me : First Class
VO : How do come to know abt this job ?
Me : I posted my resume in dice.com,so that i got a call from ZZZ.
VO : How big the company is?
ME : right now it is having 50 full time employees
VO : how do u know it is having 50 employees?
Me : My employer provided me all the employees list with their designations( i felt he didnt satisfied with that answer by seeing his face expression)
VO : Can i see the employees list
ME : given
VO : Can i see Tax returns of the company?
Me : Given
VO : Can i see the Unemployement wage reports?
ME : given all 4 quartes list (given all wage reports, its a very big bundle)
VO : for which project r u going to work?
ME : i will be working for ther internal project( i wanted to continue to say something more but suddenly stopped me)
VO : ok internal project..., give me the description
ME : when i am giving that description i told him that i will be working for this project for few months, later based on my performance i will be placed for a perticular client.
VO : ok, he has given back tax returns and project description.
VO : r u working for the YYY company?
ME : s, i am working for YYY.
VO : He started cross cheking employee list with the unemployement wage report. he was picking randomly one page from unemployment wage report and checking. he did like that for around 5 mins.
VO : Asked me all the docs again (Tax & Project description)....typing something seriously.
VO : started giving back all the docs. given all except Passport and DS forms.
ME : then he has given one card and told me that "your emploer has to pay even if u r on bench, if not contact this number"
ME : sure

the next day i collected my passport with H1B stamping from VFS office.

Got 221(g) Four Times
In third query form i had submitted only the required document(Unemployment wage reports with notarized) and plus mandatory documents(I797, LCA, I129, DS-forms). With in three days itself
i got another query form (4th) to submit all the documents from the petiontioer side without passport. Iam really dont know how should i proceed. In second 221(g) only i had submitted all the documents and in third 221(g) they asked to submit only the Unemployment wage reports and now again they are asking to submit all the documents.
They are sending 221(g)'s in every few days. I dont know why they are taking so much time to decide with my visa. If they are not satisfied with the company then they have to send my application to USCIS for further review or atleast they can put my case in AAP so that i can wait for some time. My company is asking me to go chennai personally, but i dont want to take risk( if they ask some more documents regarding my current company, experiences). Due to H1 i have left out my current job six months back.
Please people help me, what i have to do next. Really can i put hope on my visa.

Question: For " Not Applicable " things do I need to write as N/A or Not Applicable.

hi all
i have attended visa interview at chennai consulate on 22nd august 07 and was issued 221g blue form asking for somemore documents without ppt.i have dropped the required documents on 17th dec 2007 at hyderabad vfs. it's almost 3 and a half months since i dropped the documents and when i called up chennai consulate they say that it is "under review" can anybody plz tell me what is meant by this and how long will it take????

221G docs submission without passport
Nice to read your experiences. I have a bigger doubt. I got 221G form twice. In the second time they have mentioned that final request.
Also they have mentioned submit docs along with passport.
Now all my docs are ready for submission, but due to some urgent situation, iam on a business trip to other country.
Only becoz of passport my docs submission is getting delayed.
Can anyone please clarify, is it possible to submit all the docs through VFS without passport even though it is marked to include in the 221G form?
So that i can ask them to submit the docs without passport and let the Embassy query for the passport so that once i returned, i can submit the passport and get the stamping.
