Dear all,
I attended H1b Visa interview on 1st Nov at Delhi.They have issued 221(g) green form requesting for "client aggrement letter" and asked me to put it in the drop box along with I797,I129 and passport original.
In the back side of the form, they checked for I797 ,I129 but there is no option about submitting passport in the page at all.
1)Please tell me whether it is implied that we need to drop passport along with all documents or not?
2)How long it will take generally to get the result after submitting the documents.
3)How about the probability of getting stamped in these cases.

hi when i was working in hyderabad i applied H1b visa. i got approval notice, in that notice they mentioned chennai embassy. now i am working mumbai past 6 months. i am confused where should i attend the stamping. mumbai or chennai. please if any know about this could u mail or call my no.it's urgent.

I got a 221 green form in the New Delhi Counsulate and they have asked for all the documents related to my employer. I have asked my employer to semd me all the docs. I wanted to ask you guys to please help me and let me know what happens next. They have asked me not to drop the passport with the documents. Does this mean that I have a bleak cance to get the visa. All the questions asked to me were answered properly. The only answer which propmted the VO to give me a green form, is the no of employees. My company has stated the no of employees in the petition as 5. Due to which i have to get them all the relevant docs from my employer.

Is there anything that my emplyer can do by contacting US emabassy to fasten the process?

can i apply for another Visa when this is under process?
Please suggest me, as i am very much worried abt the status of my H1 and want to plan my carrer accordingly.

221 (g) issued, help required
I have attended the Visa interview in Chennai in the first week of this month and was given 221(g) blue form & was also mentioned not to submit the passport with it. I came to know that there will be a case status number marked on the form issued thru a sample document posted in this site to check the status of the case once the documents are submitted, but the Visa officer has not mentioned any case number on my form & only mentioned the required documents to be submitted at the VFS office. Can you please help me in this case how to track the case once the documents are submitted & if it is a problem whom do I need to contact.

Successful H1B visa stamping at Mumbai Consulate
Hi All,
Firstly I would Like thank immihelp web site and all the people who posted their experience here It really helped me know the process inside the consulate
I got my H1B visa on 7th Nov 2007, I would like to share my experience with you all…
My interview was schedule at Mumbai consulate @ 8:15
I reached VFS office at 7 a.m. after waiting for sometime (around 45 min)
Using VFS bus facility I reached consulate office … I stand in queue ..
Security guys were sending around 15 people inside once my turn came one officer ask to remove your belt … wallet and be ready for security check .. once my security check in done they asked me to collect all my bags and go inside .. (please don’t’ carry any eatable … and don’t use Zips folders)
Inside there was one officer was standing who verified my petition, passport and I -797
and ask me to go to counter no.1 for finger prints check (Please check TV screens present in consulate were they show video clip about finger prints check)
After my finger prints check that lady gave me on receipt on which token no is written …
I was bit tensed ‘coz of this I forgot to pay attention on token no. call ..
Suddenly I heard token no which is greater that my token no so asked officer about this and she told me if I missed the call they will call you again …. So I waited
After sometime announcement is made on which VO officer call around 10 numbers including mine we all stand in queue in front of counter.
All guys standing before were getting visa so I was happy and eagerly waiting for my turn
Once my turn came VO officer called me in
1) VO :- Through which company your going to US.
Me :- ABC …. Company
2) VO :- What are they into
Me :- explained all the details about company like (domains on which they are working)
3) VO :- Tell me the list of clients
Me :- explained list of clients
4) VO :- which project are you going to work on
Me :- It is IN HOUSE project and explained project name and details
5) VO :- How much salary they are offering you
Me :- ABC$ per annum
6) VO :- How many employees working in US company
Me :- X no. of employees
7) VO :- All are Indians
Me:- No
8) VO :- How much IT experience do you have
Me :- I have X number of experience
9) VO :- Currently in which company your working with
Me :- I working with ABC company
And suddenly VO officer saw something and ask you have already traveled on L1
You should have told me before and then come the golden words “Your Visa is approved”
Please Note :- Be organized…. Be Confident….. go through all the documents thoroughly
Believe in God. Surly you will get the visa. Best of Luck !!!!

got 221g and VO asked not submit Passport
I have attended interview on Oct 20 in CHN consulate. I took my wife along with me(H4). VO gave me 221g blue slip and asked me to submit docs from my petitioner thru DropBox WITHOUT PASSPORT :-( and he returned all my docs.
My questions is when i submit my documents thru vfs do i need to submit D156 and 157 form to my wife also? How will they stamp for my wife (H4)?
