Successful H1 stamping in Vancouver
Hi,
Thanks to everyone for posting your experiences. It helped me a lot.
There was not any experience relevant to H1 Stamping in Canada. I would like to post my experience.
I got my canadian multiple entry visitor visa. Took appointment for US Stamping(Nvars.com) by paying CAD 9.50.
I had an appointment at 10.30Am. I had to go through security and was asked to keep the foll docs ready before we reached a counter to pay the fees
DS156, Form 797, Passport, employer verification letter, fees. The cashier collects the fees and takes all the documents and issues a token. We need to wait until this number is called
I was called after an hour and went for fingerprinting and my interview. The interview was as follows
Me :Good morning ! how are you.
Vo :Fine thank you
Vo : How long are you in the US?
Me : xxx
Vo : Did you come to the US through a different employer
Me :Yes
Vo : What is your annual salary
Me : xxx
Vo : Gave a sticker and asked me to collect my passport the next day at 3pm
VO was very polite and all the guys who attended the interview that day got their visa.
While returning to US, I had to get my new I94. I paid 6$ for it at the border immigration office and was issued new I94. The whole process was very smooth.
I had a lot of documents including payslips, old 797, W2 etc, but was not asked for a single document. Keep all the documents and be confident.

Hi,
I 'm working in singapore for the past 7 year and permenent resident here for last 4 year.I have applied for my H1B thru one consultant and USCIS has approved and its in the post, i may receive it in another 10 days.
My question here is where i 'll go for stamping whether Singapore or India, i'm bit confused, Can anyone advise me.

First I attended interview on 26 Dec 2006 in New Delhi. At that time I got 221 ( g). Today I have attended along with all the requiste documents which ever asked to submit for the above 221(g). After asking questions THe Visa Officer has once again gave me Green leaflet - 221( g)- stating that the " Case should be reveiwed ". She has taken my DS156, 157 & all the above documents. But returned the Passport.
How much time they will take in reviewing the case. Will be there any postive reply for the above case.
Please reply who ever had similar experiences.
