I attended visa interview on 21st Dec'2006 at chennai and i have been given 221g blue form. Please guys i have doubt that, the blue forms given by VO is common to everyone? for my case it is checked that i have to drop my passport also along with supported docs. Will all the cases issued 221g should drop passport in drop box? VO has checked all the petitioners column which i should drop.

I was one among you just untill last week when i attended for H1B in Mumbai consulate.

My Interview Questions are is here for you.

VO:How do you know about this US Company?
Me:I applied through a US Job Site.

VO:How many employees are there with this company?
Me:Told.

VO:How was the Interview Process?
Me:Telephonic Conferences.

VO:How many years of Experience do you have?
Me:3.8 Years

VO:Why was your F-1(Student Visa) got rejected previously?
Me:I smiled.

VO:Ohhh! you smile,Did they turn you Down?
Me:A pleasant smile again.

VO:I was processing your VISA today, All the Best.

Thats how the whole thing happened.

I was rejected on F1(Student Visa) 4 times some three years ago,so i prepared myself well this time without much hopes.

But i found the process H1B process very easier than a F1 Visa.

My Advice to you my friends is BE CONFIDANT,Believe in yourself and Have faith in your Abilities.

A Smile can make all the Difference,This was true in my case.

All the best to you all.

Thank you for the ones who has posted their experiences here.

Regards,
Ravi.

H1 Visa
Hi,

I attended my H1 visa interview on Jan 25th. My interview was scheduled at 2.45pm. There was a long queue outside the office. I stood in the queue at 1pm itself.. But i had to wait for a long time since they weere sending ppl according
to the interview slots. Finally i went in at 3.15 pm. Once all the routine security checks were done, Initial screening of documents were done. I then went for the finger print..
Finally After a long time, I was in front of the
VO. He was pretty old ( around 50 yrs ) guy.

VO : How long you have been working with US company?

Me : I told i am yet to start work there.. As of now i am working with <India company>

VO: How long?

Me : 3 years.

VO: what degree?

Me : BE in computer science.

He saw all my experience certificates and degree certificates.

VO: Inhouse or client project.

Me: Inhouse.

VO: Can i see the tax statement of US company?

Me : I gave them.

VO: from the tax statement, i dont see any thing mentioning abt salaries.

Me: I saw it and told " Workers and compensation"

VO: Thats looks pretty small amount ( smiling ).

Me : I also smiled :). I thought i wont get the visa or i might get 221 g :)

VO: YOu have any photos of your office?

ME: I showed.

VO: I would want this to be reviewd by a senior person and passed it on to the next officer.

ME: Now I was sure that i wont get the visa..

New VO: He was in a meeting. Came back in the next 10 mins.

New VO: What project you would be working?

Me : In house

New VO : what does it do?

Me : I told, i have not been assigned any project. I would be done once i go to US.

New VO: how can they as they dont have a project of their own?

Me : i donno, thats what i have been told by my mgr in US company.

New VO: he check somethings on his system for 5 mins. He took my passport and DS forms and said Ok "Go home Sir"

Me : I was relaxed and Happy :).

I guess it was luck :). ATB to others also.

Regards,
Sri

Successful stamping - Chennai
Hi,

I attended my Visa interview on Dec 27th. The interview was pretty cool.

The questions asked where,
1) What you are going to do after going to U.S?
2) How long u have been associated with this company?
3) Asked for my degree certificates.

I didn't have market analysis document and unemployment wage report but I spoke confidently and I was not asked for those documents.

Thanks,
Vijayan.

Got Visa after 221(g)
Hi,

I have attended H1 visa interview on Nov 6, 2006. I went along with my wife and my 9 months old kid.We got the first preference because of my kid.they asked us to go to the interview counter after finger print.I have given my petition papers. VO asked my degree certificate. I gave the same. She asked my experience letters.i gave the same.she asked me to wait for a minute and she took all docs along with her and went inside.she returned back after 10 mins.she asked me about the proj details.I said that i am gng to work in inhouse project.then she was asking for proj description docs.i said i haven't received proj description related doc.suddenly she took 221(g) and marked everything under petioner.Eventhough i had some of those docs and i gave the same to her.she had gone thru that and gave 221(g).she asked me to drop all those marked docs into drop box.at this point i thought that i will not get the visa.

i have informed my employer about the docs.I received all docs from my employer after 2 months.I have submitted my docs thru drop box last week.we got the passport with stamping with in 3 days.I was really surprised and dont have any words to say.

Be confident.you will get the visa.

Thanks,
CH
