H1B Stamping after 221(g) - Chennai
Hello All,
I had been to Chennai on November 1 for H1B Visa Interview and was issued green 221(g) form requesting to drop the following documents in VFS box,
1. Internal Project Details
2. Unemployment wages report
3. Names and position of all the employees working in the company
VO had retained most of my original documents as listed below,
1.US Offer letter
2.Petition documents from US employer
3.Experience letters
4.US Company brochure and pictures
5.US Company tax returns
My employer sent me all the documents on December 23, 2006. I dropped only the requested documents in 221(g) along with DS156, DS157 and passport.
Received my passport on December 29, 2006 with H1B Visa stamped.

Visa success after blue 221g
Thanks everyone who posted their experiences - be it H1B success on the first attempt or success after 221g or other cases.
I had my interview on December 13, 2006 at Chennai. It went through fine with routine questions and finally was issued 221g asking me to drop Unemployment Wages Report and Notarized list of employees along with my passport and application forms. My employer provided related documents and I dropped them all on January 22, 2007 at Hyderabad drop box facility. I have received my passport with visa on February 1, 2007.
Hope this helps people who are trying to estimate time of processing on such cases. Thanks again everyone and good luck to all who are struggling with 221g or will be appearing for visa in the coming days...

First of all thanks to all users who posted their interview details on this site. My interview is secheduled in Feb secondweek at Mumbai.
I have one query that my sponser company having busineess in Graphics industry. And they filed my H1B petition and offered me a designation of Programmer analyst. So Mubai consulate having any problem regarding my job and also about my company. I am going for inhouse project.
Please give a valuable guidance.

i received a mail from chennai consulate what is this mean please share ur views with me how to proceed
In accordance with United States law and Department of State guidelines, action on your case has been suspended, and your petition for a Non-immigrant Worker filed on your behalf is being returned to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on -1/19/2007 with a memorandum explaining the facts of your case as presented to us at the time of interview. The U.S. Consulate in Chennai is no longer handling your case, and will be unable to give you any information on the status of your petition.

221g Blue form asked to drop docs without passport
Hello Guys,
I've posted my experience earlier as well. I had my interview on Nov 8 and the VO asked me to drop a bunch of docs in the VFS drop box sans the passport. I did that on Jan 8. Didn't receive any communication from the consulate yet. If any of you had a similar experience please write to me.

Hi all,
I attended interview in delhi feb 2006 i was given 221 g till now i havent herd anything from. If i want to contact embassy by email to know my status of my application which details do i need to give passport number or H1 filing number .

I just now finished my interview at Delhi Embassy.

VO: doing ok
VO: is this renewal?
ME: fresh H1
VO: which company you worked before in the US?
ME: YYYY company
VO: what will be ur profile in the US?
ME: programmer analyst
VO: How long you wre in the US?
ME: 2 AND HALF YRS
VO: How about ur wife? is she not going to come?
ME: she will be joining me later
VO: OK ur VISA will be couriered.
ME: Thank you very much
I suggest every one to choose delhi for stamping.
its really cool and no hassels. Today most of the poeple getting visas successfully.
