3 month baby's finger print
Tell them your daughter is really stupid and didn't know her left hand from the right...

Just kidding. In US they take finger prints of your index fingers and not thumbs. And they take finger prints of both index fingers. It doesn't matter what is on the passport. At Consulate they would ask you for finger prints if you are an adult and at the port of enty they'll compare it with the Visa Office finger prints. Don't worry about the baby. You'll be fine.

finger print issue
hi uncle sam ,first thanx for replying me!!

Actually i have taken left thumb print of my 3 month old daughter instead of right in the passport application and the same have been printed and issued to me. now as u say that finger print of my daughter will not be checked in the consulate, but whether this will be a problem when i travel to US (airport). is it better to rectify the problem now itself?? reply me ASAP.

thanks.

Got H1B Visa - Nov-13th
Hi Friends,
First of all, I thank all the friends in the forum, who shared the experience. The credit goes to all. I'm also joining in this long chain to share my Visa Experience.

My visa stamping is on Nov-13th, 11.00 AM. I reached the consulate by 10.00 AM. As usual the queue is very long. I got into the building after security check by 11.15 AM. In the security check give only your passport and Interview letter of VFS.They will verify and let you inside. Again you have to wait inside for some moretime. They asked me to go to another building , where actually the Visa interview happens. They verified my documents and put inside the green folder and asked me to wait sometime. They will call by name and issue the folder to all. After that we have to stand in another queue to give finger prints(Both Left & Right Index Finger). The final call is for interview. Again I was standing in another queue, there are lot of counters, I was looking the other counters all the Interviewers are smiling and interviewing all, but I couldn't find a little bit of smile from the person who was Interviewing in my counter. I had the last hope is nothing but my Confident level and the god. Please look below for the conv b/w me and Interviewer

Me: Good Afternoon Sir.
Offcier: Good Afternoon sir.
Officer: Could you please show me Educational Certificates ( I gave the documents)
Officer: You did MCA right ?
Me : Yes Sir!!
Officer: I haven't heard the name of the University at all.
Me: I didn't said a word.(I thought what is this he knows all the universities in India or wht?).
Officer : Fine. Are u gng to work in YYYY company?
whats ur roles and responsibilities
Me: I told that i'm working in YYYY technology and explained the work .
Officer: Ok. Are u Married sir?
Me: No sir. Not yet!!
Officer: you will be recieving your passport in 3 - 4 working days sir
Me: Thanks a lot sir !!

Be confident and cool. The goal is yours.

Thnks & regards,
Raj

Successful H1 Visa Stamping @ Chennai
Hi Folks,

First of all, my sincere thanks and accolades to those running this website which is a boon for H1 aspirants and people wanting to visit USA.

I attended my interview today (Nov, 14th) and my timeslot was at 8:45 AM. I went there at 8:40 AM and was allowed inside immediately. Wondering why..??. Yeah, you guessed it right. I went along with my wife and 1 yr old son.

After the usual procedures, here is how my interview was taken.

Me: Good Morning Sir. How do you do?
VO: Good Morning. I am doing fine. Can you show me your highest degree certificate?
Me: (Gave the Masters degree certificate)
VO: (After verifying some details) Have you taken any computer related courses in your Masters?
Me: No Sir. But I had taken UNIX and C courses as a part of my Under Graduate curriculum..
VO: Can you give me your PG marksheets?
Me: (gave the marksheets)
VO: Your UG Degree Certificate please.
Me: (gave the UG Degree certificate)
VO: What role will you be playing in EZ Info Systems?
Me: Programmer Analyst
VO: What is your role in Infosys Technologies Ltd?
Me: Project Manager
VO: But your DS156 shows otherwise.
Me: When EZ Infosys filed my petition, I was a Programmer Analyst and I was promoted in August, 2006 as a Project Manager.
VO: For which client do you work now in Infosys Technologies Ltd?
Me: I work for a major telecomm service provider, Belgacom Mobile in Belgium.
VO: Give me details about the latest project you are doing. How many modules do you have?
Me: 6 Modules (and named them)
VO: Will you be working at EZ Info systems's office or at Client's place?
Me: EZ Info Systems has two development centers in Fremont, CA, one in S Grimmer Blvd and the other in T, Enterprise Street. I'll be working in one of these development centers.
VO: OK Sir. Your visa is approved. Your passport will reach you in a week.
Me: Thanks you very much Sir. Have a nice day.
VO: You too have a nice day.

Folks, please go well ahead of time. When I reached the consulate, I saw somewhere around 200 people standing in a 1 mile queue in front of the consulate gate. Otherwise, the whole procedure is pretty cool. Please maitain you cool (I know it is very easy to say this) and speak loudly, confidently and provide convincing answers. Never get misled by the approval/221g/AAP that the VO is giving to those standing in front of you. Each case is different and after all, the VOs are there to ONLY issue as many visas as possible to deserving applicants.

I sign off for the moment now by wishing everyone who is attending the interview the VERY BEST and SUCCESS.
