Hi Guys,
I went to visa last year on Nov16-2005 i got querry asked me to come with additional documents again i went on Jan12-2006 for interview asked me to sumbit additional documents in drop box i did but after couple of months know i got maul from chennai consulate asking me to send
1.conpleted visa application form DS-156 and DS-157.
2.One color visa photograph.
3.passport.
4.current job affer letter from the petitioning U.S. Company.
can anyone got like this.
can anyone tell what is about this.

I have attened the VISA interview for H1B on 25th October. The consulate issued me 221G stating that we will get back to you once the adminis trative processing is over. Is ent a mail to consulate about my status the consulate replied me that. "You will recieve a letter from us SHortly".
Please who got 221G advise me how long will it take. Are u getting the same kind of letter from consulate, when u ask for a query.
I hope they are clear with my case and when they willc all me. Is tehre ant time frame. since theys aid me we will send u a letter shortly.

Hi Friends,
First of all i would like to thank all of those friends who have posted their experience.
I must say that just reading all of your experience i got my H1B approved.
I had my H1B interview at Mumbai on 6th of this month. The scheduled time was at 12 Noon but i got the chance to get in by 1 Noon.
After finger print and all other procedure. i just wait for my tocken number to be announced. and just within 2 min on window 10 i was called.
My interview goes like this way:
Me: Good After noon
VO: Smile, GA
VO: Can i have your File?
Me: Submit
VO: So, You are james.
Me: Yes
VO: where are u going?
Me: City & State
VO: Which company you are going to work?
Me: Answered
VO: Waht's the salary
Me: xxxxx $ PA + Benefits
VO: What's your current designation
Me: xxx
VO: Ok, Your visa has been approved and it will reach to you within few days.
And just next day on 7th i got my passport along with stamp.
I would suggest all of my friends just read all the experience on this site and collect as many document as you can.

221g for insufficient experience need your feedback
Hi All,
Congratulations for those who secured a visa, my best wishes for new aspirants.
My friend applied for H!-B visa last Monday and was given a 221g for insufficient experience in IT. He hails from a Mechanical Background and completed his Master's in 2003. Since then he was working for an IT-firm.
But, on the day of his interview the VO said he needs atleast Six years of experience for issuing him a H1 visa. How far is this true?
Was this just a reason the VO officer has given to my friend orelse does everyone need six years of IT experience for securing a H1-b visa. People who have already got a visa please add few more details about your background as this would help new visa applicants alot, and will give them opportunity/awareness for successful visa transition.
What about visa applicants who come from EEE, ECE background and have three years experience? Please give your valuable comments.

I got my visa stammped at the Mumbai consulate yesterday. It was literaly a cake walk. But before that a very important information for all of you "VISA ISSUANCE OF RS 2400 HAS BEEN WAIVED OFF" no need to carry the draft any more.

VO: am good
VO: Which company you gona work for in the US
ME: YYYY XX Inc
VO: What dose it do
ME: Software Development and Resourcing Services

I am working in an MNC,i have attended for H1 in last week of october from a consultancy and got 221g, V.O asked me to submit documents in drop box.
Now my manager asking me to apply for B1. So, i am in confusion whether to go for stamping or not for B1. Please advice me what to do.If i go for stamping what questions i have to face?

Successful H4 Visa Interview in Chennai Consulate
Hi Everybody,
I got lot of information from this site and it has helped me in every aspect for my interview.
I have completed my H4 visa interview successfully in Chennai Consulate. Visa Officer was lady. My Interview was at 11-30AM so I went to consulate by 11-00AM. My interview went on like this:
Me:Good Morning
VO:Good Morning
VO:How r u?
Me:I am fine, How about u?
VO: No Answer, Give me ur folder?
Me: I have given folder(Given after Pre-Screening)
VO: Is ur wife in US?
ME: Yes
VO: When she has left to USA?
Me: YYYY Month
VO: When she starting working in USA?
Me: YYY Month
VO: Give me ur wife pay stubs?
Me: I have given the pay stubs
VO: She checkked the pay stubs and given back to me saying that Ok ur visa has been approved and u will get it within 2 - 3 working days.
ME: Thank you.
