1. Your H1B visa will be issued for 3 years. It will go beyond expiry date of your passport. Not a problem at all.
2. Your previous L1 gets invalidated, I think so. For couple of my known cases, who had B1 (valid for 10 yrs) and when went for H1B, their B1 was invalidated.

i am going for stamping on dec 15.basically i have done my education in mechanical engineering from bangalore university.i am working as software profeessional for the past 3.5 years.i dont have any
pgdca.will it be a problem to get visa.i do have sun certification in java.will it be an added advantage while going for stamping.kindly suggest.please mechnical engineering/other specialization engineering guys who succeeded in getting h1 in the recent times respond immediatly to this

Not able to retrieve H1 Application
Hi,
I filled H1 visa application forms 5 months back. Now I changed my state of residence and job. So I thought of modifying the application and also prepone the interview to an earlier date. But the problem is i was not able to retrieve the application and it is asking to contact VFS.
i don't quite remember the field MOTHER'SNAME was there while i was filling the application. Now that field is manadatory to modify the application. May be that is the reason it is not recognising my information.
Can anybody let me know is there way to retrieve my application.

I have all my educational certificate where my first name is spell as Kapil as well as with my first employer it is kapil after that i have done cdac where i change the spell from kapil to kapeel and than i had two employer after ....so know all my documents offer from us employer is in kapeel name .
Please tell me in DS 156 its specified that column 9 that other first name used ..................shall i mentioned there kapeel as my passport name is kapil .
Please help ...will they ask for additional document for the same ...or it may mess with my i/v ..
Please let me as i have to submitt the DS 156 tommorow to pune office ...on 14 nov
