Waiting for approval notice
Since my L1A approval is still pending with USCIS, Iam having doubts, if a case can be rejected even without USCIS sending an RFE. Please tell me even if that is possible?

PS: my case was recieved at VSC centre 150 days back.

L1A Blanket Approved in Chennai on Jan 21, 2016
Going with the tradition, I want to thank immihelp for giving me ample amount of information on the type of questions being asked :)
Me and my wife's l1 and l2 got approved in Chennai on Jan 21, 2016 | 9 AM slot.
As has been written in many posts it is definitely about being confident, but at the same time, one needs to be cent percent clear on your roles and responsibilities - current and proposed and your organization chart - current and proposed.

The process was quite smooth and we (me and my wife) got free in 1 hour.
Below are the questions

Q): So, YYYY Company?
Q): Which client location will you be working out of?
....Probably she was taken aback by the imposing answer. She said, there are multiple L1A's which work out of client location, hence the question.
Q): How much will be your salary in US?
Q): What is YYYY Company doing?
Q): Whom do you report to?
Q): What is your designation
Q): What will be your designation in USA?
Q): How many reportees do you have?
Q): How many are direct reportees.
Q): What are their designations?
Long Pause of 4 mins...was scrolling through her system.
Q): Qualification of you Ma'am?
Q): Your highest qualification, Sir?
Q): Now most difficult question for you. What is your date of marriage?
Q): Is that correct, Ma'am?
Q): You are lucky....
Smiles everywhere.
Long pause....was searching through some information on her system.
Q): How many employees does your company have in X location?

Pause for couple of mins and then the golden words :)

l1b visa & i-94 expired on 13th Jan 2016 and new extended approved petition (valid till July 2017)
l1b visa & i-94 expired on 13th Jan 2016 and new extended approved petition (valid till July 2017) was not shown while coming back from india to extend I-94 till July 2017(as per new petition)... hence latest I-94 is given based on last petition... we have already passed 13 days out of status

Please help on what to do because we don't want to go out of country at this moment as my son's study is in-between and how much risk is there if we go out... or is there any other way to get our I-94 corrected while living in US... I still do have extended approved petition valid till July 2017, which was filed & approved before going india but forgot to show to immigration office while coming back

L1B Extension Approved but Latest I-94 expired & Visa Expired
Hello Dear - I am in deep trouble and looking for some help to get out of this.

Actually I was having my L1B petition & visa valid till 13 Jan 2016 with my family and my company filed a renewal last year in July 2015 and got that approved along with new I-94 having validity till July 2017.

but unfortunately just immediate after in August 2015, I had to got to India for some reason and came back with-in 15 days but while coming back I was not aware that I should show the new extended petition to immigration officer to get existing I-94 validity increased till July 2017 as per new petition.

so as a result, they have again given me I-94 valid till 13th Jan 2016 and I was in the impression that it should get updated automatically as per new petition...

on 20th Jan 2016, we came to know that we are running out of status because latest I-94 (while coming back from India) override or made extended petition I-94 invalid...

so we are in bad situation now because our existing visa & I-94 has already expired on 13th Jan 2016 and I-94 on extended petition is not valid now due to last arrival from India (as we didn't show while coming back).

we also came to know about one more issue that unfortunately attorney forgot to add my family to the new petition.

Could someone please help us to get out of this mess? we don't want to leave the country as my son's education is in-between and heard that there is risk while coming back on stamping...

please help...

L1B blanket Approved (Chennai).
First of all thanks a ton to the forum! Everything you need to clear this interview is available in the forum.

Q) How long with xyz Company?
Q) What is your job Title in India?
Q) What is your job Title in the US?
Q) Who is your client?
Q) Where in US are you going?
Q) How long are you planning to stay in the US?
Q) Will you be working at the client location?
Q) What will you be doing there?
Q) What is your specialization?
Q) What is this tool? Is it a website?
Q) What does this do?
Q) Did you develop this tool?
Q) How long did it take for you to develop this tool?
Q) Did you develop this tool for ford/ Is this specific to ford?
Q) Your salary in India?
Q) What is your highest Qualification?
Tips:

a) You need to know the answers for these questions and the questions posted by other members in this forum but please don’t think of the interview as a (“kon banega crorepati” types) question/answer session .This may kill your confidence. Think of it as a mere pleasant formal conversation that you are going to have with the interviewer.

b) You should be able to explain your tool/Solution/Product in simple non-technical plain English

Few clarifications that I required for which I have the answers now

1) High salary in the US may fetch you a good chance to clear this interview but that does NOT mean a low salary in the US is a sure rejection. Don’t worry too much about it and just be confident.

2) My experience with the company is less than 3 years and my duration of stay in the US is 3 years. This did not create a problem for me. However, you should be in a position to justify 3 years stay if your experience with current company is less than that.

3) A previous L1B rejection should not affect your current visa interview as long as there is a minimum of 3 years gap.

Finally, have faith in God!. All the Best!!

Wrong company name on the petition
Hello friends
I got an issue last week during my interview at the consulate.
After verifcation, the VO found that the company name put on my I 797 form is not the same as the one they got from the USCIS (the old name of the US company).

Everything went fine, the VO was OK with the interview, but he didn't accept/denied my visa, he said that I have to fix that before I will get my visa approval.

Anyone got the same problem ? What should I do ? How long does it take to correct that ? We were in premium processing with USCIS.

Thanks in advance.
