Need information about L1B INDIVIDUAL
To apply L1B INDIVIDUAL visa, is it mandatory to apply L1B BLANKET before that please let me know. How many days to process.

Note: Be confident, and maintain eye contact with the officer.
The VO was a very nice guy and he was smiling most of the time
Good morning Sir, how are you doing
Ans: Very good morning, thank you. How about you?
Then he asked for 3 sets of petition related docs. Started going thru them. then he looked at the computer and started typing
1. How long with xx company
Ans: xx years xx months
2. What are you going to do in US?
Ans: Answered in 2 sentences
Again was looking at the screen for quite sometime. He was very carefully scanning through the details
3. How long will you be there for?
Ans: xx
To my wife:
1. Madam, what is your highest qualification
Ans: xx (degree)
Again he started typing and later looked at us and smiled with the Golden words " Your visas are approved"
All in all, a very well organized process at US consulate. Whole process took around an hour for us.

L1A blanket and individual
I am in the process of applying for L1A. New to this forum as well...
Went through the posts here and few other experiences, it looks that for L1A Blanket, roles and responsibilities of the petitioner in US is a question is a giveaway, and a small yet verbose and confident reply to this is a must. However, for Individual, this might be an optional question.
Can I have comments from the experienced candidates on this please?

Guys Thank you very much for everyone sharing experience and helping others...Today I have attended OFC and VISA interview below are the questions.
NOTE: Be confident, talk without hesitation, do your homework properly, prepare a list of questionnaire specific to your project and travel as per the documentation ....

My Suggestions: He will decide in 3-5 minutes. That time is very crucial, just do a mock for at least 10-15 times before going to interview. Be super confident while answering all your questions. VO should understand whatever you are talking to him. You should try to convince him that there is a valid reason you are going to US. Don't listen to others who say it is purely dependent on luck, i would say it depends on your Projection and performance

L1B - BLANKET Approved on 30th October @ Chennai
Thanks everyone for sharing experiences. This is really a fantastic site where I got chance to learn more about the questions asked for L1B visa interview.
My interview timer : 10:30 AM IST .
My suggestions : Be super confident when you are answering to VO. Don't think if the other person visa gets rejected as his case may be different . Do mock test from the shared experience questions . I did for almost 30 times :) and right it down on the questions and prepare the answers. Focus more on the Specilaized , Project , Tools questions and answer the questions which required YES or NO don't go in deep answering and take a pause if required and very important speak in neutral tone and don't use any technical words . I think I used words like framework, design , deployment methodology and intergration . The VO just want to see how confident you are and want to understand what you are going to do in US for clients.

VO: Good Morning . How are you ?
Me : Very Good Morning . I'm fine thank you . How about you ?
VO: Great . Which company ?
ME: ZZZ
VO: How many years you are with the company?
ME : YYYY years and xx months.
VO: US Salary ?

VO: Tool you are going to use .

L1B blanket approved on 30th 2015 @ Chennai
Visa officer was a gentleman,I had prepared lot and made up my mind that I will be with full smiling face while answering but @ that point of it was not under my control,based on my experience if you talk confidently or not is not the one which matters, what matters is are you meeting the criteria which they have set!!!If you come with full confidence and talk about things which doesn't meet L1B,they will reject for sure.
My suggestion:There Will be a mike,please lean towards it and talk over that because I was not audible to VO and he asked me to talk in.mike.
