Hi Guys,
I'm having 9.11 years of experience in Software Development in various domain with onsite exposure in US previously in H1B for 4.5 years.
I'm out of US for last 2 years and my present company is willing to file L1A / L1B for me now. I'm with this company for last 1.2 years and in the role of Assistant Manager. I have 10/12 direct reportees under me in India and 4 of them who will be reporting to me in USA in the profile I will be going at the client location.
I'm also working on a niche skill which is a client proprietary framework.
I'm confused in this situation which will be a better fit for me L1A or L1B.
Looking forward to get your suggestions and advises.

Hi Guys ,
I would like to share my experience through this forum. I have attended my L1B (Blanket ) Visa on 25th,Sept ,2015 9.30 Am slot .
I would suggest you be there 1 h before at least so that you will feel comfortable .I went in the queue at 8am and reached my interview point by 9.25 and finished by 9.45 AM.
Nothing much ,technical, logical .Simple be confident ,free don't be nervous and speak in which the can be easily understand don't much use technical terms/Jargons .

L1B Individual Approved on 22nd September
Hi All,
I had my L1B Individual approved on September 22nd after a blanket rejection 3 months back.
I had my interview @11.30 and arrived at the consulate 30 min before as indicated. The Queue was quite big outside the embassy and we had to wait for almost 45 min to get inside. Inside the queue was even bigger around 150 people waiting for the interview. Finally, B1 Visas were moved out and gave some room for H1 and L1.
Now to the Questions.
VO : Good Afternoon. How are you?
Me : Good Afternoon, I am doing good thanks. How are you?
VO : Fine...(smiling) Which company do you work for?
Me : ZZZ
VO : Did you apply for a L1 visa before
Me: Yes
VO : was it a blanket
Me : Yes Blanket and it was rejected.
VO : Oh! so u applied for an Individual visa. thanks good.
VO : What will you be doing in US?
Me : replied very confidently looking into his eye(training the new team on implementation process on proprietary tool and customization of the product).. before I could complete, he moved to next question.
VO : Ok, your pay in US
Me : ZZZ
VO : Location
Me : ZZZ
VO : (after typing for about 2 min). your visas are issued.
Take Away : Be confident and convince him that you are the one. Use simple words, don't use too much Jargon's or technical terms. Make short sentences and do mock interviews. Let your answers be understandable.

21/09/2015, 12:15 PM slot at OFC:
It is good to go just 15-20 mins before your slot, else you have to wait outside the gate. The bio-metrics will not take much time; hardly 15-20 mins.
You need only 3 docs i.e DS-160 form, appointment letter and your passport.
22/09/2015 11AM slot at US consulate:
In OFC, they will tell to go just 15 min before the slot. But, timing is totally in-appropriate. Better to go 30-45min earlier to your slot. Very big queue and lot of security checks.

- Be confident and have the eye-contact with VO while answering.
- People may getting rejected in the next counters, so dont worry about what is going on other counters.

L2 visa - Regarding resignation acceptance letter
Hi all ,
My L2 visa appointment is scheduled for next week .
I have resigned from my current company but they are saying i will get resignation acceptance letter during the last week of notice period .
what can i do in this situation since this document will prove i am not working anywhere and as per the document checklist i will need this document.

Need to prepare for L1B Individual - Help
Hi,
I have recently been rejected the L1B Blanket visa and my company is now initiated for L1B Individual.
But I am concerned if I would need to be ready with the same Specialized tool that I presented for Blanket or this time I should change it? To be mentioned, I am specialized on multiple "ZZZ" proprietary tools and I used one of them for Blanket petition.

Hi all - Does somebody have any idea, if common medicines like paracetamol, disprin, pudin hara etc. are allowed while traveling to US from India.
Also, the things like nailcutter,small scissor, deodrants are allowed in the check-in baggage.
