I had my L1B Blanket interview on 31st of January and my Visa got approved. This site helped me a lot for my interview preparation.
These are the question asked.

- How it works?

These are the only question I've been asked and after that he started typing on his system(a big silence) for a minitue, and finally he stamped and handed hover two copies of I-129S to me and said carry 1 copy with you when you travel to US.

My L1-B VISA has been approved today. This site helped a lot for the preparation of the interview. Here I am giving the list of questions that I faced.

ME) I am working for YYYY X
VO) What is your total experience?
ME) My Total experience is xx Years.
VO) So you have been working for the same Company since XX years.
ME) No Mam, since last Y years only I have been working with YYYY X.

My L1A Blanket Rejected on 28th Jan. Thanks to the forum anyhow for sharing all their experiences. Here are the questions asked:
VO: How are you? Please hand over the papers
Me: I'm doing good? How are you?
VO: I am good. Thank you.
I handed over the Documents (I129S, I797 - 3 sets which were tied up by the people assisting for L visas at the 2nd counter).
VO: So you are working for YYYY (Looking at my tag)?
Me: ZZZ
VO: Will you be working at the client location or at YYYY premises?
Me: At client location
VO: Who is your client?
Me: ZZZ
VO: Which client? He asked me again
Me: YYYY ( I pronounced it in Indian way)
VO: OK. ZZZ. (He pronounced it in American accent)
VO: What are your responsibilities? Looking at his system
Me: I explained what was mentioned in the Documents. 4-5 sentences
VO: Interupted me and asked Whats your Salary in US? Looking at me
Me: YYYY dollars per year
VO: How many people report to you
Me: 17
VO: How many are direct and how many are indirect
Me: 3 direct and 14 indirect
VO: Are these 3 direct reportees are Leads?
Me: 2 Managers and 1 Lead
VO: How long are you planning to stay in US

VO: There was a pause for 1 minute while he typed something in his system and gave me the passport and 2 copies of I797 and I129s papers and told,
Sir, Unfortunately I cannot give you visa. The reason is "Not Clearly Approvalble". There are other ways to travel to US. Please go and talk to your HR and ask them to apply in a different category.
He kept one copy for himself.
Me: Can I explain you why I fit into this role and provide you more details?
VO: Smiled at me and said, Please explain to your HR and tell them to apply in a different category
Me: No Porblem. Thank you
I thought he almost accepted and ready to break me some good news but when the word "Unfortunately" came up my mind was blank.
The VO was friendly and smiling through out the interview. No Complaints...
I didn't understand what he meant by apply in a different CATEGORY?
CATEGORY as in L1A Individual CATEGROY
or
A different Visa type all together.
Anyone can you let me know what this means so that I can proceed further

Hi,
Thanks for everyone who have posted their experience on this forum, it really helped me in the preparation for the visa interview.
My experience below:
Yesterday I and family went to the chennai consulate for visa interview.
We went to OFC and got the photos and fingerprints done.
We then went to the consulate and there was hardly any crowd. There was some protest by college students in chennai and the whole road was jammed and lot of police presence.
We breezed through into the waiting hall and stood in the queue to get our documents verified.
To our suprise and dismay, the document verification lady told us that some issue in transfer of our photos/ fingerprints from the OFC and asked us for mine and wifes photo. Unfortunately we did not have, so we went outside and an autorickshaw guy helped us get the photos done in a local shop nearby.
We then went back into the consulate and got the documents verified and went for the interview with the VO.
The VO asked us how are we doing and talked to my daughter, daughter did not respond as she was feeling shy.
Following were the questions
VO: Do you work for xxxx?
Me: Yes.
VO: Whats your current designation:
Me: Answered.
VO: Whats your designation in the US:
Me: Answered
VO: So you are computer professional?
Me: No. Explained my role.
VO: Kept looking into his screen and typing something and then took my petition papers, stamped them and gave it to me.
VO: Those are your documents, your visa is approved. Have a nice day
Me: Thank you very much. Have a nice day.
My learning. Be confident and show positive body language. When I was mentioning my US designation, i slightly stammered and the VO was looking at me very keenly. However I recovered and the rest of the answers I gave very confidently.

Query regarding L2 visa for my wife
Hi Guys,
yesterday shared my experience regarding l1 Blanker visa approval
Now i need info regarding my name in my wife passport.
in my passport my name is D **** * A **** (father name)
when i applied for my wife passport, i just mentioned as D **** ( not full name as in my passport)
now her passport is in printing status .
please do let me know, is there any problem that my full name is not present in my wife passport to get L2 visa or in immigration.( we have marriage certificate, which is clearly mentioned my full name)
please do help me, i am not sure what to do now.

Guys from my end two tips to crack the interview
1) Be confident on whatever you answer
2) Don't listen to the guy who is giving interview in front of you.
