Hi All,
This was a useful site..i was just browsing the day before my PA and landed here.I was helpful to read about others experience.
I went for my PA today morning at chennai consulate and got it.
Questions were:
1)what are you going to do in the US
2)How many years of managerial exp
3)roles and resp
It was very straight forward,but the VISA officer was always trying to maintain eye contact with me..
3 to 4 years back they used to say donot talk much to the VO..for the question reg roles and resp i briefed about 6 to 7 roles and she was still looking for more resp..but i managed and told her about my day today activity.

I was reading this site last night before my visa interview. Quite a helpful site. I got my visa stamped after few question. My 2 cents to clear this interview are -
Be clear with your specialized skills. You only have to prove them that this is a unique tool/platform and you have mastered it.
My questions were -
visa officer : Since how long you are working with XYZ?
me: almost 2 years. (missed to mention my overall experience of XX years here, big mistake.)
visa officer : Who is your client?
me : ABC
visa officer : Your Specialization?
me : tool1
visa officer : Do you have any certification to support your specialisation on Tool1?
me : I have not received any formal training on Tool1 but i have got 3 weeks in house training.
visa officer : How can you be specialized in 3 weeks of inhouse training?
me : Explained him that i am working on this project and with this client since past 1.4 years, this helps me to improve my skills and also explained him that it's not just Tool1 but client's system integration with Tool1is also included
visa officer : Still i am not convinced with your specialised skill?
me : Explain him details on project and about external-internal system integration done using Tool1. Some of the milestones achieved ect. Also told that no formal training is available in NCR on Tool1 being a nich skill and only big organisation use this kind of SOA implementation.

First let me tell u ..
DD given by Immigration team was not enough and i was asked another two DDs of 2250 an 500 rupees each when i went to pay the DD amount.
So please .. check with your immigration team before going for interview.
Now .. these wer my questions

Hi, first i applied for L1-b Visa from Chennai which got rejected.
Then as per my companys recomendation i applied for L1-individual which got selected , but when i get my passport i can see the visa is L1-b not L1- individual so i need to go to the VFS office again to change the visa type.
Can any one tell me if they experienced such tings before or how long it will again take for the correction.

Hi All,
Very imp info to share which is already shared by few people. I went to Chennai Consulate on 8th Dec and cleared all paper work and went to VO (fat lady),
VO: Gm
Me: VGm mam
VO: (Kept looking at monitor for 30 sec) Do you have Border security fee exemption letter (Affidavit) from your company?
me: No Mam. actually I received the petition paper much before 20th Nov (Which was the date this new rule introduced) And my company HR's too were not aware about the new rule.
VO: Ok. Unfortunately we can not have interview today. Please bring this letter (underlined with missing affidavit) and come on any of these days and time. No need to take another appointment. (She returned few papers asked me to get it when I come back)/
Me: Ok Mam. Thank you! Good day.
And returned. Now have to travel again next week and hopefully will get visa stamped!!
Do not forgot to take "Border security fee" exemption letter or DD if not applicable. This is new rule for all L1B visa.
