Hi, I just want to share my experience I will be happy if my experience helps any others.
My L1 Blanket Visa got rejected on Aug2010 in Chennai Cousulate by saying "Your blanket L-1 application is not clearly approvable under section 8 CFR 214.2(I)(ii)(D) and INA 101(a)(15)(L) after asking the following questions:
1) Who is your employer?
2) How long you have been with this company?
3) What you are going to do in US?
4) What is your special skills?
Then my employer applied through L1 Individual. But this time, My VISA got approved after asking the following questions:
1) How long have you been with this company?
2) What you are going to do in US?
- I have answered Slowly and confidently.
Thanks to this site and the information which is available here.

Mr suresh reddy is absolutely right.
The lady VO sitting on counter no 16.@ delhi US embassy rejects all L1B application. Dont know whats wrong with her. I too encountered d same and got my L1B application rejected on 7/dec/2010.
She asked me to apply for Individual L1.
Very depressed :(

These days lot of L1B are getting rejected in Mumbai Consulate for specialized knowledge .. i am also one of the person ... please take care all of you future applicants. GOD Bless U ALL !!

L2 Visa got approved - Chennai Consulate.
I had my L2 Visa interview on 8-12 at 12:30, here is the discussion with the VO
Me: Good afternoon !
VO: Good afternoon !
VO: Show me your marriage certificate.
ME: Showed the marriage certificate.
VO: Show me your marriage photos.
ME: I was carrying the entire photo album so
showed her the photos from outside.
VO: Show me the letter from the spouses company stating the relation with me.
ME: I showed the letter from my husband company that stated my relation.
VO: When did get married ?
ME: Bla bla
VO: Is your husband in India ?
ME: Yes he is back.
VO: Where are you going in US ?
ME: <City>
VO: How many people attended your wedding ?
Me: <Number>
VO: Why so less ?
Me: It was a small friends and family gathering.
VO: Where did u get married ?
Me: <City>
VO: When did your husband go to US ?
Me: Six months back.
VO: How long have u been married ?

L1 b Approved for 5 years
Dear All,
My PA date was issued on 24-Nov.My visa got stamped but when it came to the travel cell of my employer,they told me that it got approved for 5 years, so it needs to be corrected,also I did not receive 2 sets of form I-129S and I-797 as at the time of interview,the VO said that she will send it along with the passport.Can you please let me know if any person is facing the same problem , or to whom should I approach for my passport to get it corrected.

Everything was very smooth thanks to the guidance of my company's internal visa cell. They had all the angles covered and that really helped the experience and avoided last minute shocks.

Sharing my exp :
I had interview on 30th Nov but due to this additional fees i got 221g and we went back on 7th Dec with new fees.
at 9am they collected our documents from outside..and gave us token...asked to come around 11am...
11.30 we were in and after 10 mins our numbers was called...
Since they collected fingerprints etc on 30th only we were directly called for interview...
Me : Good Morning m'am...
There was no response from VO she kept working on her comp...
After some time..she looked at my son and asked...
VO : How old is he?
Me : 4 months...
Then there were all those questions which are linked with L1B
Company?
Which project?
How long in company & project?
Designation here and there?
Role here and there?
why you ? why not some1 else?
Whats so special in your skills...
my wife...
since when you are married...
During all this there were few occasions where I had to ask her to repeat the question as I was not able to hear her properly...
I would suggest all those who are waiting for D day.. note following
- Know your application,documents in and out...
- prepare well
- Understand that these are NIV visa....
Major part is God's blessing and wishes or your elders and well wishers... All the best...
