Well, I have been reading this forum for a month and now its my turn to wirte experience.
My interview was scheduled for 13:30, I went there by 12 and they allowed me inside. Surprisingly, the crowd was very less at Chennai consulate during this slot.
Btw, do not talk to any securty folks who are standing outside about you slot and whether to get inside or not. Just stand in the line and submit the appointment letter to the person sitting in the entry counter.
Inside, the process was very fast as there were hardly anyone. Once am done with the finger print section, I walked towards the interview counters. There was no Q and the VISA officers were waiting for the folks (This might beacuse it was close to lunch hour). :-)
Interview lost for 2 minutes with 3 questions being asked (all of them are repeated N+1 times in this forum :-) )
1. How long you have been working with this company?
2. What is the project?
3. For how many years you have been working on this technology?
Then he said - You visa is approved and you will get your passport through courier in couple of days.
So, be cool, they dont have time to look at your face and read your emotions or tension. Listen carefully and answer to the point.
Hi all i was continously visiting this site from hte past one month, but today i am other on the other side of the river.Exactly! My PA was yesterday, 6th of Nov,2007 at 12.45 P:M.
I was as usual tensed, reached there an hour before, and after the initial processing waited in the interview hall for my change.
It was a bit delayed as it was the lunch hour.
There were two rooms where we have the interview counters and i was waiting in the first room where there were lot of kids playing. This gives us a lot of relaxation. There was only one counter open in this room as others wnet for lunch.
I observed about 20 of them headed to this panel, and were absolutely no objection.First preference was given to kids. I was very relaxed by the way preple are being approved, and wished if i could also got to this panel.
After my fingerprints were taken, i dint find the security person who will be guiding to a counter based on the count, so took this as an advantage an joined the line.
I was the last person in the line and thought this would make my interview last for along time.
Few applicants before me were just posed a single question. I was very sure before my turn itself that i will make it. This boosted my confidence.
I was posed only three questions which i answered briskly.
1. How long u were working with this company.?
2. What is ur specialized knowledge?
3.Who is ur client?
THen were the golden words saying that my visa is approved and will recieve the passport in the courier.
Tips:
Be cool , prepare for all the questions in this website, be confident and the visa is yours.
thanks to this website. Its very useful.
all the best to all of the aspirants...

Hi all,
This forum helped me lot to get the confident for BL1 stamping. I had a interveiw scheduled on 29/Oct/2007 and it was great experience.
* My Interview schedule time was 12.30 pm, so I was there in front of Chennai consulate by 11:40 am.
* There was a huge crowd, so I could able to enter into consulate by only 12:30pm. But the external officers are really polite and providing good help to us.
* I went to screening building, there they have verified the folder and taken some of documents with passport. they told that will be handed over at the time of finger print.
* After that I was waited for quite some time and went to building for finger print. Be professional in the each place, dont rush, try to give place for oldies, always make sure that you are going to explain the reason for your travel. That is not a place to ask more hectic questions like a Court.
* after finger print, I was waited in the Queue, you can see all the counters and VO's taking interview. It is a Glass protected area, where you will be having speaker and mike to communicate. So dont panic.
* Analyse the mentality of each VO there, When I was in that place, One VO is asking more questions and more verifications for each, bu the next window VO was really taking less than a minute to approve. so Based on your judgement try to accomodate in the line. Why because, you should get tensed of seeing the VO.
* They asked only related to the documents what you are carrying, like clients, stay, projects, specialized knowledge, experience. Try to be smily face always and treat them like your friends. Answer to the questions Slowly and clearly, Dont talk fastly. Just if they ask, how long you are working for this company, Tell them like I am working for this company for the past 9 years. dont tell much and dont drag the conversation.
* concentrate on what they are asking, dont try to act like you are more brillient than others in your company.
* Just 3 to 4 questions, thats all. If they have any doubts on your answers then only they will verify your certificates and documents. So try to avoid getting doubt on your answeres.

My company has applied for L1 visa under blanket L1 petition. I am Indian and hold Indian passport but I work in London. My paperwork is due to be completed by 29th oct. Should I appear for interview at UK or India and what documents do I need to carry? Do I need to carry original marksheets and degrees as well?
