Thanks everybody for sharing their experiences. This is my turn to contribute.
I had my L1-B blanket visa approved yesterday at the Mumbai consulate.
Note:
1. At the Mumbai consulate they take finger prints of all the figures of both hand; not just index fingers.
2. They take around 25 to 45 minutes to verify the DD. If the DD is valid only then they allow giving finger prints and proceeding with the visa interview.
My visa interview lasted for 5 minutes. Following questions were asked:
1. How long you are working with XYZ Company?
---Years ---months
2. What is your academic qualification?
I named the qualification (2 words)
3. You have issued B1 last year? Where you traveled?
Yes. I told the duration and places I traveled (1 sentence)
4. What you do?
I explained my work and tools/technology (1 sentence)
5. Is that tool / technology a language?
Yes
After this VO told me that your visa is approved, let me do some paper work. He stamped the date on two I-129s and handed me both. He told me to carry both when I travel to USA.

First of all let me thanks a lot for the people who shared their experiences through this website. I was confident only going through this forum before my interview.
I have attended for L1B Blanket through my company TCS. As an ussual process, I have completed my pre-screening and got my documents back at the next building and after which I was in the queue.
The VO was a gentle lady. I greeted her wishes once I went to the counter with a good smile. Then started the interview which prolonged only for 4 - 5 mins. The ques are as follows.
Interview details:
1.Q. Since how many years you are working for TCS?
A. I have been working since 1 year 6 months.
2. Q. Who is your client?
A. Citifinancial.
3. Q. What are your specializations?
A. I am specialized in Mainframes in COBOl, JCL, VSAM and CICS.
4. Q. With these specializations why I have to send you to onsite.
A. Currently there is a requirement with the client for a new enhancement to be done at client site within the current system. As I have been working with this project since 1 year and 6 months and I have gained relevant knowledge in the specialization and the Business that the client follow, I have been selected to go there.
5 Q. Is it a development project.
A. Yes it is a development project. It also contains Maintenance and enhancements to the current system.
6 Q. Are you going to build the new system there in mainframes.
A. No. The current system is already in place and I am going there to work on the new enhancement for that system.
7 Q. How many years of experience do you have in Mainframes?
A. 3 and half years of experience.
And the Visa is approved.
The same words again repeat! Be confident cool and relaxed at the window. The visa is urs.

Visa Approved at Delhi
hi All ,
Today i had my interview at DELHI , it was a nice experience . This Site helped me a lot in preparing the basic questions.
My advice is do not get tense as the person over there is to give you the visa only , you just have to explain him who you are and why you want visa.
My interview is at 8am in the morning , i was little tense , i arrived at the embassy at 6:30 in the morning as i dont want to take risk abt the timings , well its too cold at delhi .....
and as the time passes the number of people are increasing ...
at 7:30 security person announced that pls come forward for security check in ...and pls take out your interview letter.
Remember : carry all the documents
after checking documents one lady ask me to wait inside the building....
i was waiting then someone call my name then i go to the counter where i hav given my finger prints .....
afterwards i joined a queue where no. of peoples are standing .....
then i saw one nice foriegn gentleman who greets the people with smile....i thought may b i get a chance to talk to that guy ...finally my no. come and i am in front of that gentleman...he greets me and ask about my passport and required documents ....
the interview is only 2 mins ...in that period he asked ....
1. who is your client
2.how long you are with this company
3.wht are u going to do at onsite
4.wht abt ur salary at onsite / offshore
5. r u working at development project
well at the starting i was nervous and then it is ok
finally he said ur visa is approved and u will get it thr courier....
i thank him and thank to god ....
guys dont loose ur temper .....
just be cool ......

Blue slip got in L1-B interview
I have reached before 11'o clock since my interview time is 12.00p.m.Inside a pre-screening of my forms upto BEP letter they have taken. And the lady who sits in the counter told me to wait until they called my name to return those forms. So i waited upto 12.30 inside. Then i checked with a person who is giving instructions to us . He also has told the same. After some time our names called. They got these forms from other building. ( I think they have taken these forms in other building after some time they have returned back). Then went inside in second building without standing in Q. After finger print scanning we have stood in one Q which is near to finger print scanning counter. After some time one instructor asked us to stand in counter 8. The interviewer in counter 8 is looking serious. For none of the candidates he approved. (since when i sit there i observed this counter).
When my turn came i went along with my husband. I wished him Hello. He asked docs and marriage certificate. I have given. After he asked 'How long are you associated with xxx?' I answered I have associated with xxx from past xx months like that' Then he asked my husband to sit in chair so that he wants to talk with me. He is looking in computer and saw the passport and docs. He asked about technology. I said Mainframe technology which has cobol,jcl,vsam,db2,idms. Next he said speicalized knowledge should be only for business executives etc., ( I did not hear properly) but i understood he is not accepting. So i am telling like i have specialized knowledge on idms. but without listening my words.he has taken blue slip which he has bunch of blue slips with him and told show to your HR by selecting option "your blanket L-1 application is not clearly approavable under section 8 CFR 214.2(I)(II)(D) and INA 101(a)(15)(L)". I didn't get what it is.

It was cool
My stamping was on Dec 7th at 2:15. I reached there at 1:15 and they allowed me in since there was no queue. It took 30 mins to get back my documents before proceding to fingerprinting. After finger printing I was asked to go to a counter. VO was a young lady

My appointment is on 21st Nov at 12'o clock. It was very crowdy and there are many couples with kids. It was very noisy as kids are shouting.
The VO was very cool with great patience.
Suggestion:
If anybody wears glasses it was mandatory that their photograph should be with glasses. Otherwise, they are rejecting while verifying the documents. I noted this for a couple.
Following are the questions I faced:
VO: Since how long you are working for YYYY company ?
ME: answered.
VO: What's the prj (with a smile said, just in one word) ?
ME: I named the project.
VO: Who is the client ?
ME: I could not hear it. So, requested him to repeat. This happened twice. Finally, named my client. By then, he started writing some thing on my petition.
VO: Your Visa approved and will courier your passport.
By 2.30pm, my interview was finished.
Good luck all those appearing.

i din get him....i said repeat (well if u r not sure pls ask for a repeat...also keep in mind dat the speaker may b wid very low volume n d firangs accent makes it even more difficult!!)

"As the number of Blanket VISA has reached a very high thresold we request you to get in touch with your HR and appear for the interview some time next year"
A request to people with PAI in december, please postpone and get a PAI date some time next year beacause i also heard the rejection rate for blanket petiitons is also high.
But this is up to you guys.

I had my interview on 13th Nov 2007. The initial processes like verification, finger print scanning took fast and i waited arnd 20 min for interview.
My interview lasted less than a minute. VO asked only two questions.

2. how long u have been in this proj?
