L1B Visa Experience
Hi All,

Thank you every one for sharing your experiences. This is an excellent site for people attending their visa interview. My interview was on 21st Feb 08 at 12.15 pm at Chennai.
Myself and my wife attended the interview for L1B and L2 visa.
We went to the security gate at 11 am, since our appointment was at 12.15 pm we were asked to wait in the queue till 11.40 am at the gate, then after completing the preliminary security check at the entrance we were sent to the prescreening hall at 11.50 am. There we were asked to wait for almost one hour. Then at 12.45 pm we were asked to stand in the queue for verifying our documents in the prescreening hall. They verified our passports, DS forms and I-129 forms then wrote “11” and “C” on our forms and told us to go to the next building. “C” means that we had to deposit our DD in Cash counter and in counter 11 they took the finger prints of all the 10 fingers. And then we were sent to the next hall to stand in the queue for the interview. Here is our interview:

VO: Hello Sir, Hello Mam, How are you doing today?
Me: Fine Thank you. How about you?
VO: How long are you working for this company?
Me: X years and X months.
VO: Who is your client?
Me: Told the client’s name.
VO: How long are you working for this client?
Me: X years.
VO: (to my wife) please put your right thumb on the scanner to verify your finger print.
VO: please put your left index finger on the scanner Sir.
VO: (to my wife) How long are you married?
My wife: X years and X months.
VO: Tell me about your project sir?
Me: I explained my project in 2 – 3 sentences.
VO: So you are going there for some kind of development work?
Me: I explained my work at onsite in 2-3 sentences.
VO: Signed the I-129 forms and returned 2 copies to us. Third copy would be for our records.

Then said the golden words “You would receive your visa in a week’s time, Have a nice day “.
Me: Thank you.

My suggestion is, stay cool and be confident of what you are going to say, understand the question clearly and answer up to the point.

Regards,
Sathya

what does this mean?? is it a rejection? Will I get any further communication??
