In total 4 weeks process at Atlanta mission. Give 3 weeks to MEA to process the case, added time is based on the efficiency of a particular consulate general. It is important to read the instructions and follow them religiously. I did not notarize the documents. Do not send any ORIGINALS! I self-attested everything. Old information of 30 kb limit for photographs and signature upload doesn't apply anymore!
This forum was very helpful for me to track the progress of other cases to have an idea of current processing time.

we are British citizen. I am Indian and my wife Pakistani origin. Our twins daughters were issued oci in 2014 and were travelled to India every year to see my parents who cannot travel to uk due to old age. In 2020 when our daughters oci carda were send for renewal the high commission or MEA cancelled the OCI stating that the rule has changed and because mother is Pakistani origin so oci cannot be issued. All the representations to the MEA resulted in disappointment. So thinking of getting normal visa for them. Also the high commission has not refunded the application fee so far.

I was little tensed as why there is no other status change after UNDER PROCESS but it seems this status means the verification is done and they are working on issuing and it takes 3 weeks to change the status in ATL consulate so have patience.

Reached to VFS during this time and they asked me to wait 6 weeks before reaching out to VFS for any status related queries.

I want to travel to India by May 22, 2022 but haven't received my OCI yet it is still at the "reached at the Embassy/Consulate and is currently under review process" and the date of acknowledgement is April 12, 2022.
When should I expect it and should I book my ticket for May 22? Prices are rising and I need help!

Sent VFS final docs to complete application on March 9, they received them on March 10, 2022.

my daughter's PIO expiring Set,22 and she is travelling to India from June 15th to Aug 7 . Can she travel on PIO card, has anyone travelled on PIO to India this year.

It appears to be taking longer than the average processing time based on the experiences posted here.

Gathering the documents and uploading/compiling was a pain . Glad no hiccups.
