Hi friends, here is my experience with Houston Mission. It took around 6 weeks (calendar days). I'll be receiving the OCI card tomorrow mostly. all the best for you !!!

Feb 9, 2018 : Submitted application in person for self and spouse at CKGS office, SFO.
                       Application verified by CKGS and declared complete.
                       CKGS asked for and got the PIO cards from us at the same time
                       since we don't need them for travel to India anytime soon. In-person application resolved
                       a minor issue (missing additional particulars form for self; printed it right there and submitted)

Took roughly 2 months from date of Ack to OCI approval. Waiting for the card.

Hi I applied OCI for my mino child at the Washintong DC center. Below is the status as of APR-09-2018.

Any idea what is the current processing time for Washington DC center.

renunciation $175 + service fee $7 + ICW fee $3 + shipping charges $15 + convenience fee $7.35 = $217.35

New OCI Card Fees $275.00 + ICWF Fee $3.00 + CKGS Service Fee $17.00 + SHIPPING $30.00
+ Convenience Fee $11.38 = $336.38

Pakistan charges $30 for renunciation.

this is atrocious. What a way to make money! Ridiculous. Better to stay as a permanent resident instead.

Finally OCI in hand today and took 3 months.

Hi,

I applied on December 21, for a minor, conversion from PIO to OCI, and it still says "Documents Printing Status: Under Process".

Anyone else applied around the same time? Any updates?
