How long can the OCI be left at CKGS?

Looks like the OCI card for my kid has been dispatched from Delhi on 5th Feb 2016.
Its been more than 2 weeks and I am still waiting for it to be received at SFO.
I tried calling customer service but unable to reach them.
I did send a email asking for status update. I haven't received any reply yet..
My family is traveling in first week for March. Is there anyone is the same situation as me?
Could you please suggest any other means to follow up with CKGS?
Any suggestions are welcome.

Checklist shows number of notary documents. Do we really need to submit those documents with notarization? Anyone who applied recently can you please tell me which all documents need for notarization?

1. Questions related to generated OCI Registration form FORM XIX:
a) I have submitted the online form, it generated the pdf with the filled details.In the generated pdf, uploaded baby's thumb impression pic populated in the signature box.
Question>>Do I have to still get baby's thumb impression in the signature box? or no need since the uploaded thumb impression already generated in the pdf?
b) Question no. 32
I/We ............................................... do solemnly and sincerely declare that the foregoing particulars stated on
this application are true ,and I/We make ths solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true.
Question >> Do I have to get the thumb impression of baby in the signature part?
2. Question related to Submitting the documents:
Do I have an option to submit the documents in person at CKGS (Cox & Kings Global service), New York? Or accept the documents send via courier?
3. Question related to submitting the passports:
In the checklist I see it is required to send original passports (baby's US Passport & Parent's Indian passport) for processing.
A) Submitting the documents via courier: How long it will take to receive the original passports from CKGS?
B) Submiting the documents in person (Walkin) : Do I still need to submit the orginal passports if I submit the documents in person.

I have 8 months old son. We are travelling from SFO to India on 9th April. I have his US passport. Now, I am not sure if i have enough time to apply for OCI. Please suggest if I need to go for :-

Hi All,
Below are the timelines for my daughter OCI card Process. 58 days total
I shipped all documents on 12/15/2015 and received the OCI card on 02/11/2016. Total 58 Calendar days.
I did send an email to CKGS,MOIA New Delhi and Houston Embassy requesting them to speedup the process if possible. I got the reply from Houston Embassy and New Delhi on next business day asking the Acknowledgement date of application . Once we sent the application Acknowledgement date ,then the status updated to Printing on next day
