match up process
in website it has mentioned, we can walk in and submit the match up documents.But today when i was in call with customer supprot, they mentioned that i have to send it through postal, and i cant walk in and submit the document.
is it true?

Houston OCI for minor in lieu of PIO
Below is the timeline for my daughter's OCI application. Does anyone know what would be the next stage and how long it might take from here to receive the OCI? I'm going back to India for good on 19th May. Will I receive the OCI before that? If not what are my options?

why is India so slow ..
I don't understand the OCI process at all .... all this talk by prime ministers are talks in the air. Indian Babus are the worst ... first they had PIO - it was said this is valid for life .. now it says convert to OCI but PIO will be stamped as lifelong. then someone says PIO will no longer be valid. why can they not stick to their promise.
also - the list of documents is so long . then they have matchup which needs 10 days ...what the heck ... to compare picture on OCI card with passport .. they need so many days .. do they hire a detective to do that ? can they not print / create temporary OCI cards at the consulate !!! I understand OCI is like citizenship .. but who in their right mind will
try to settle in India by fraud when they are already citizen of US.

My OCI status is showing as processed in india. I have moved to next building. and when i submitted my application , i paid for the return post at CKGS.
Now i m thinking to go directly to submit my documents for match-up process. But not sure how i will get the return documents.

OCI minor application - problem with web reference number
Hi all,
Greetings.
I have submitted minor OCI application to Chicago office. I have send this by UPS and its tracking shows it reached by 1 March.
Till date I didnt get notification from CKGS about it reached or any progress is started. I am worried because of org passport sent with that.
I submitted query to CKGS saying any notification to be send but they are asking web reference number.
is web reference number is same as it is showing on form A and B which is submitted and printed online ?
does it look like USA **** **** (12 digit) number ? or something else.
whenever I am trying to get any status from online it is asking that and when keeping that number and passport number error showing NO RECORD FOUND. Its very strange as I tried all over the options there in CKGS website.
can you please put some light if I am doing anything wrong. If i want to get web reference number (by saying - Forgot web ref no)
how can I get that again ? as currently with CKGS site when trying to put passport no and DOB its not showing at all ..

Washington DC OCI Process
GIVE THE OCI PROCESS 5 MOTNHS AT LEAST!!!
We started the OCI process September 25th with the online forms. We Submitted all paperwork October 7th to the CKGS office in person. (at this time i asked them will we receive our OCI cards before December 17th and they assured me I would have it by then and gave me an expected 6 week processing time) The Documents did not leave for India until October 27th. Our OCI cards were approved on December 30th. Later we received another e-mail saying they were being dispatched from India on January 10th. Then we received the Call for Passport Matchup on January 20th. I submitted our Documents (by fed-ex) on Feb 1st. We are still waiting to receive our Passports and OCI cards back.
This entire process is very frustrating and CKGS is a horrible agency! Their customer service is extremely rude and they are clueless. They should have never changed from the old company.
We have had to change our travel plans three times, and were told we can come pick up our passports but we will need to apply for another visa if we would want to travel to India.
If you are applying for this process GIVE IT 6 MONTHS TO BE ON THE SAFE SIDE!!!!! ESP AT THE WASHINGTON DC OFFICE. I have heard other offices are much faster but Washington DC is extremely slow!
Please note: We were never asked for extra paperwork or told that any of the documents we submitted were incorrect. Every time I would call for a status update they would tell me I just needed to wait since there was a long backlog. They were very misleading and overall a horrible experience.

Duplicate Web File Reference Number
I am getting "Duplicate Web File Reference Number" error while trying to proceed for OCI fees payment and getting the same error while paying for courier service on CKGS website.
