Uploading documents
Hello,
I am almost ready with my OCI application but I have a question reg Uploading documents.
So, I uploaded my baby's US passport.
Mother's passport- Indian origin
There is a glitch in the system and now it shows that I have two uploaded passports - both were mine I guess and it doesnt allow me to delete or see what was uploaded.
I had a Re- upload button next to it so on one of the duplicate rows- I tried uploading my husband's passport- the screen turns white and crashes.
I now do not have the re-upload button next to the two rows of Indian origin passport (disappeared)
Since I cannot see what has been uploaded or delete already uploaded documents, I dont know what to do or how to correct this.
Rest of my application is complete and I have an appt scheduled at Houston CKGS to submit my documents/ application. Thank you!

washington DC OCI application for minor
washington DC CKGS is worst one.
Date of Acknowledgment is 31-DEC-2015. but after that there is no update. when i called customer support , they are just reading the online status which i can se by myself. what is the use. i just wasted a long wait time to reach them.
i m planning to get 1 yr visa for my kids. someone please suggest. is it good idea to travel with visa when the OCI is in progress.

OCI not received at SFO mission
Hello Everyone,
My son's OCI was got dispatched from India on 15th Feb 2016 but not received at SFO mission even after 16 days. Does anyone faced this kind of situation like long delay in receiving the OCI at SFO mission.
Does any one contacted Indian embassy at SFO for the similar issue.
I am worried whether I will get my son's OCI on or before my travel date(March 10).

Chicago OCI minor application
Hello everyone,
After so much hassle I am successful to post my application last week.
I have submitted OCI application on last week to CKGS office at Chicago. My UPS tracking says it reached yesterday only, what is the process to get next notifications ?
Will CKGS notify me after that every stage as document received and started processing ? do I need to register somewhere to get notification ?
is web ref no is the same one which I have on the online form printed at time of submission where I have pasted Minor photo ?
how much time it needed to get notification to me once it reached to CKGS. ?

Washington DC OCI minor application
Washington DC CKGS is insanely slow with OCI applications.
1) Acknowledgement Date: 21st NOV 2015 (as per gov india website)
2)Date OCI received: 23rd FEB 2016 (as per gov india website)
3)Date Passport was sent by CKGS to Indian embassy for Match up: 1st MARCH
Note: Passport was sent to CKGS by 23rd FEB but they took their sweet time and sent it to embassy for match up on 1st MARCH.
3)Date Passport will be sent back to the parents from CKGS: 10th MARCH(likely)
Close to 4 months, too ridiculous.

OCI Status after Acknowledgement - Question
"Note- Ordinarily, OCI Registration Certificate and Visa are available for delivery within 42 days from the date of acknowledgment. "
Is this 42 business days?
Also, if anybody has recent timelines for Washington DC, can you kindly please post it for new OCI and renewal for minor?

OCI Minor( Houston) Abt to Submit Application
Wife and new born baby planning to go to India during First Week of June 2016. My current passport is going to expire in NOV 2016. I have submitted my passport for Extension. Waiting for my passport to be Extended.
As i only have 3 months Between now and June 2016. I am thinking to apply for OCI for the new born.
1. Is it possible to submit OCI Application to CKGS with Out My Original Passport. I am going to send my baby passport and Wife passport. I will be able to get my passport notarized and can send. Is it mandatory that we need to send Parents Original passport
2. Say i had to wait till my Indian passport extension. If my passport extension is done, which passport am i SUPPOSED to send . My new passport or my Old Passport

I applied for Minor OCI in lieu of PIO and had to submit original passport for minor + both parents with the application to CKGS.
Does anyone here have any idea by when I would receive the original passports back?

OCI in Lieu of PIO
Hi All,
I have applied for OCI in lieu of PIO for my son in SFO center. The acknowledgement date 18th Jan 2016. But still the application is still under process and its been 42 days. It has not moved to next stage of document printing.
How long should i wait for the next stage? Looking at others experience i should have got an update by now.
